I second the Monarch. Command Log: Requiescat in pace. Chapter 2So as it turns out, the events of the Bloodbath went by rather quickly. Finding themselves with more time to kill than tributes, the participants go about the day in varying manners. In reality, the Games are a lot less about battling than survival, so the players all devise new strategies to fit this revelation. Mr. Monopoly seems to think that maybe returning to the Cornucopia would be the best for him, since everyone would likely be gone by then. He decisively heads back and makes a good pile of resources, though after a while it seems as if the pile gets smaller every time he brings something back, rather than larger. Unable to realize this, he returns to the wildlands he fled to with a pittiance of supplies while Lillac revels in her successful thefts, and sets up a small camp to stay in when night falls using the supplies Mr. Monopoly was so generous to consider valuable enough. Meanwhile, two groups of tributes decide that they can probably kill time and players at the same time. Decidedly separate but equally unsuccessful, these participants hunt for prey to kill and advance the Games. The first team, Nep, Whale, and Hagakure, fails to make any use of the third's inaccurate predictions to find anyone, while the second, Katrielle, Alba, Oldbag, and Chase, try using their innate powers of observation to try and track down tributes. Sadly, they find naught but rabbits and deer with no efficient weapons to kill them with. Marx is alone in this calm before the storm. With no arms to accomplish much of anything with, he decides to wistfully look back upon his home--not the Warp Star District, but Pop Star, and perhaps more precisely, Dream Land. A place where dreams came true...a place where the king ruled loosely but still did his job...a place guarded by a pair of warriors who fought back against the darkness that sometimes threatened to consume it and other planets...one being... Marx shook his head. Those wounds were too fresh, too close to him. Too unbearable. Until he could learn how to push that memory out of his head...well, there was nothing he could do. For now, he just had to stay alive. Stay alive, he told himself...then, eventually, he could return and succeed... Anna embraces her inner Sumia. How so? Well, it's simple: she tripped. But this was no ordinary trip. You see, Anna tripped at just the right moment to roll down a steel slope, into a log, land on this log facedown, send this log rolling down the slope, manage to roll on this log for just enough time to be blown off the log by an explosion that nearly killed Dust, and land safely in a lake below where Glowzor was fighting Dust. Injured but alive, Anna manages to drag herself out of the water and...what? Glowzor was fighting Dust? And you want to see that more? Well, shoot. Sorry. I just thought Anna's miraculous log race took priority. So, you see, Glowzor and Team 007 never did stay too far from one another. They were rather close, and they seemed like rather easy targets. But they figured as long as they stayed near one another, they would be fine, and could defend the other from an attack or in worst-case scenario leech off the kill for the lols. It was Glowzor that came up with the idea once they realized how close they were, and Team 007 didn't see any reason to disagree. So they stuck together, more or less. However, little did they know, two other tributes were close behind them, and they had devised a plan to separate and end them. Glowzor heard a sound nearby. Possibly a bush rustling, but it was late noon, and the woods they were in served as good shadow, so it could be anything. Figuring that his technicolor bones would make him easy to keep an eye on, Glowzor volunteered to investigate. Once he was a good distance away, Team 007 heard a battle cry behind them and turned around to see the Chariot Master coming at them. Glowzor started back to them to help defend as planned, but he was soon grabbed and punched in the face by none other than Dust. Realizing this was a planned trap, Team 007 ran, and the Chariot Master gave chase, leaving Dust and Glowzor to struggle alone. Deciding he had nothing to lose, Glowzor threw an explosive between the two, causing Dust to leg go and attempt to get to cover, but failing as Glowzor somehow remains relatively unharmed as the bomb went off, injuring Dust nearly to death and, yes, sending Anna flying into the lake. Figuring that he would have no choice but to finish the job if he didn't want Dust and the Chariot Master after him for the rest of the Game, Glowzor takes a rock and deals a final, fatal blow to Dust's head. The explosion created quite a bit of smoke. Two tributes, Susie and Lavos, see it rising in the distance, but thankfully for Glowzor, neither decide it's worth investigating. Meanwhile, Mimikyuu and the Masked Gentleman have somehow become friends. They also work together, but now it's to find shelter. While Mimikyuu wanders into a cave that it found to see if it's dangerous, a silver capsule lands near the Masked Gentleman. He opens it to find what he least expected for him: medical supplies. Some restorative items for himself, and a couple Oran Berries for Mimikyuu. Attatched is a message: "Welcome to the World of Pokemon. Take good care of Mimikyuu." The Gentleman saves these items for when they are needed, and follows Mimikyuu into the cave. Melia, meanwhile, hears intense rustling off in the distance. Thinking it's a tribute, she hastily camouflages herself in the brush, hoping that the setting sun would provide enough shadow to conceal her rather bright attire. Soon enough, Team 007 runs past, still in pursuit by the Chariot Master. However, the Chariot Master's age seems to have caught up with him, as he stops to regain his stamina in the area, losing Team 007 in the process. Melia is left only to watch as he stays in one spot until the nightly death report... Winston Payne. Pierre. Both members of the Foureyes District and both gone from this world. The Foureyes District is left in shock at the fact that these two were removed from this story so early. The OFF!Whale. No one mourns. Litwick. Mimikyuu sees this from their cave and is left to cry, as the Masked Gentleman considers his message. He slowly pats Mimikyuu on the back, who responds by leaning into his coat and crying there. The two stay like this for a good part of the death report. Dust. The Chariot Master looks to the skies and sees his face. Scoffs at his failure to make their plan worth anything. Getting up, the Chariot Master moves on easily from this loss. Melia, on the other hand, is more sympathetic. No one deserved to die so early in the games, not even the villains that entered the arena. No one had to die at such a time. Getting herself free from her camouflage, Melia walks in the direction opposite the Chariot Master. If she was to make herself worthy, she had to steel her heart for more such tragedy, as she always has. She could not cry here or else consent to lose her life, her title, and her support. So begins the first night of the games. Chapter 2 END: Calm Before the Tragedy

...Welp. Dust and the OFF Whale are gone already, and it's only day one. Hopefully Lilac does a bit better than that.
Am I just going to end up with a trend of characters I put in from Freedom Planet doing better than everyone else?

Fairly sure the sun's not up for the majority of you so technically this is a fitting time to post this...right? Break for the night shift. Chapter 3Let's be completely honest here. Who sleeps at night anymore? I sure don't. Staying up all night is great. Is it obvious that I ended up staying up all night on accident yet? I hope so, because here's your daily dose of Hunger Games for the time being. Marx tends to his emotional wounds from being salty about Kirby Super Star. However, these attempts fail, and only succeed in making him saltier. The salt levels go through the roof as he receives a Kirby plush from a sponsor. Marx is obviously angry and attempts to go to sleep, using the plush as a pillow, which was actually the sponsor's intent. Nice going, sponsor! The Masked Gentleman receives more medical supplies. He already received some earlier, with a nice and meaningful message attached to them, and in fact Mimikyuu parted ways with the Masked Gentleman after receiving the supplies meant for it. Expecting more Mimikyuu-related things, the Masked Gentleman opens up to find...a Potion. Someone must want them to team up. Oh well. Better luck next time, though he does say that he will not forget his smol child. I forget if he kills Mimikyuu later on honestly but if he does disregard that last bit. Lillac gets a bomb. As if we didn't have enough of those. I thought she made a camp? Why is she still awake? Is she paranoid? Who gave her a bomb? Did they not see her steal from Mr Monopoly? Did they want to make her overpowered? Why a bomb? Why not a giant freaking sword? A sword works, right? Why not a sword? Why do you want people to throw highly volatile things at each other, sponsor? Why? Meanwhile Mimikyuu barely struggles to survive in the darkness. Using up one of its Oran Berries to keep its strength, it walks on. And on. And on. Until finally, it notices a campfire. As it turns out, Hagakure, Nep, Mr. Monopoly, and Alba have fallen asleep, despite trying to sleep in shifts. Deciding that yes, more friends will fill the void that poor Litwick left in their passing, Mimikyuu leans on a tree directly within sight of the camp and keeps watch for the sleeping tributes. Soon after, however, Nep wakes up, notices no one on watch but the Pokemon, and strikes up conversation. "...Mimikyuu, right? You and Litwick entered the games together." Mimikyuu nods, starting to tear up a bit. "...were you watching the camp for us? That's...sweet, but you know I could kill you right now?" Mimikyuu nods. It fully considered that before starting its watch. "...hey, listen. I don't know what that candle meant to you or who killed it, but it must've hit you like a truck when they showed up in the sky. Get some rest. It's my shift anyway." Susie thinks about her home, though...it's radically different from Marx's. An industrialized place, ridden with numerous corporate syndicates. In that mechanical brew, there were two options: pick a side or be crushed from all of them. Somehow, Susie got along fine with the second, acting as a spy for quite a few powerhouses before tearing them down. It all had worked so well, and her home got along better for it...until Pop Star got caught in the crossfire. If she hadn't met him... Well, I've spoiled enough on a lot of things, now haven't I? Her thoughts and nightmares of her past spinning in her head, she slowly lulls herself into a slumber. Glowzor is unable to start a fire. Normally, this wouldn't affect him at all, but you don't understand what a death or two will do to the winds in the arenas, and there were five. This night is particularly cold and windy. So Glowzor attempts, and fails, to sleep in the endless cold, a wide open target for any hunters willing to go out into the dark. Wendy Oldbag sees him, but just walks past him since her camp was actually not too far from there, and she goes to sleep. Thankfully, Katrielle and the Chariot Master had other plans, which were to cook the food items they managed to scrounge up before they turned in for the night. They didn't really team up, but they were about to build a fire right next to each other anyway, so Katrielle took a gamble and asked if they could share. Thankfully, the whole Team 007 chase left him too exhausted to chase her away, so there they sat. Chase is an idiot. You know why? It's midnight and he's just now setting up camp. By the time he manages to get everything set up, it's the #kun equivalent of 2 in the morning. GG, Chase. GG. Team 007 gets a bomb. As if we didn't have enough of those. I thought they were chased? Why are they still awake? Are they paranoid? Who gave them a bomb? Did they not see them run from the Chariot Master? Did they want to-- *PLEASE ENJOY JOJO WHILE WE FIX OUR NARRATIVE*Lavos and the Whale huddle for warmth as Emperor Toad prepares the obligatory !ship command. Trust me...it's not a ship. If it was, I'd go into much more detail, but then again, who wants to see that? Melia receives some clean water for her valiant display at hiding her true emotions. She turns to face where she thinks the camera is. "Reyn, did you send this? The thought is greatly appreciated, though I am afraid it does nothing to help me in my efforts to prove myself. Do not drag yourself into this. There is enough bloodshed as it is." She receives five other containers of water in similar capacity. Melia blushes a bit. Seems everyone was thinking of her tonight anyway... And now, the much-awaited sequel to Anna's Miraculos Log Race: Anna's Justified Recovery. Anna embraces her inner Lissa. How does she do this? She heals herself. But this was no ordinary healing: she healed herself at just the right time to witness the moon rise to the top of the sky, triggering a dramatic play on the moonlight. Her healing not complete, she grabs a branch and sticks it in the makeshift bandages she improvised for herself. She wraps the branch, and her leg, tightly as she glances at the moon. A full moon...that means nothing...expect wait! Wasn't there already a full moon this month?! This is no ordinary full moon, then! This is the rare and highly dangerous Blue Moon! On these nights, another full moon comes to pass, allowing people who thrive on such lunar glows to wander about! This is highly bad! In Anna's case...nothing happens! I'm running out of things to write about! Will Anna survive the next day?! <=To be continued...||/||Chapter 3 END: A Breath Before the Downpour

Thank you Planet. I'm certainly trying to make this enjoyable for all of you nerds, so hearing that makes this author smile a bit. The Roads Taken. Chapter 4So...guess what? I was completely prepared to bring all the edge and depth to this update, same as ever, and...well, I can't really do that. You know why? Well, you will soon enough. Time to improvise edginess and depth and unnecessary detail into these things! Alba decides that one day he wants to become a professional whale hunter. That's great and all, but seeing as he's kinda stuck here, he settles for just...Whale stalking. Whale isn't that hard to stalk unseen, actually. The thing moves very slowly on land. It's a miracle it's able to cover much ground at all in a day. Mr. Monopoly and Anna meet each other in the arena. They face each other down, preparing for what must inevitably come next. "So, we meet again, Lady Luck. I presume the arena has treated you well?" Mr Monopoly says. "As well as it could. But, you know me. The odds are always in my favor." Anna says back. "Do you know how long, Anna? How long I've been wanting to do this? For all the business you stole from me? For all the things you did to the Economics District?" "Well, I can't say I know specifics. But like I said, you know me. You know that prices aren't the only things I can cut in half..." "So it comes down to this." "Yep. Now, which one of us will sell out first? Wanna see for yourself?" Mr. Monopoly rushes towards Anna. She barely dodges out of the way, but the events of her little log episode start to catch up. She's slow to counter, allowing Mr. Monopoly to dodge that easily and follow up with a blow to the head with a stick he uses as a cane. Anna recovers quickly from that however, and dodges the rest of Mr. Monopoly's onslaught with ease. However, he notices that Anna isn't moving as quickly as she could be, and jumps towards her for another shot at a blunt hit. Anna is ready this time, weaving around his cane and catching him off-guard with a few slashes with a knife. But she stops before a killing blow due to her injuries, which is all the opportunity Mr. Monopoly needs to get a few more hits on her and disarm her, knocking her to the ground, grabbing her knife, and... "...well? Isn't this your golden opportunity? Do it. I know you want to." "...no. I know that look in your eye...you...you have something planned. Something...evil. Something beyond the rules of this game. The game itself...if I kill you here..." "That's right! You'll never get to see it! Now, I'll let you in on a small business deal. If you spare my life, then I'll let you hop on some of the profit I see from these games. You just have to survive until the end, and we'll split the gold 50/50. Sound fair?" "...you little wench." Mr. Monopoly takes the knife for himself. "...I trust that you can't get up too easily?" "Come on. If I could fight back now, I would've grabbed that knife back and given it to you at a premium!" Seeing that there was no more to be had here, Mr. Monopoly hesitantly leaves Anna where she is. Tune in next time for the next episode of the Anna Saga. Nep takes a page from Lillac's book and follows Katrielle as she gathers resources. Katrielle makes a pile of resources, Nep steals some. However, Layton is much more perceptive than Mr. Monopoly, and soon sees what's happening. She takes a look around, knowing someone is here stealing her resources. Nep decides that maybe she can get the kill, and sneaks up behind Katrielle...only for her to swing right around and hit her in the face. "Hah! Predictable! Did you think someone from the Deduction District wouldn't notice her resources dwindling as she collects them?" Nep rubs her face a little, seeing now that she couldn't hope to face Katrielle one-on-one yet. As such, she takes the most Top Nep (tm) move she can...Get the Hell Outta Dodge Mk. II: Neptune Style. Meanwhile, Mimikyuu does some fishing. Nothing special to note here, just the fact that it's fishing. I mean, we can cut away to some action any time now, guys. Any time. N-no? The crowd loves Mimikyuteness? Okay. I guess you get to see Mimikyuu fish for a bit longer. Oh it has a bite! Ooooh it's a big one! Ooooh! Ooooh! Ooooooooooooh...YES! Caught it! The Mimikyuu has caught the fish! Susie goes hunting and finds the Chariot Master doing the same. They shrug and move on, neither of them really feeling like fighting today. Hunting is exhausting work, after all. Lavos discovers the river that Mimikyuu is fishing in. It waves hello, with a happy expression, as the fish it just caught will feed it and all its friends for potentially days to come. Lavos is quite jealous, and starts fishing just a bit downstream from it. Somehow, Mimikyuu is much more successful. I wonder why. Team 007 takes after Susie and the Chariot Master, deciding that hunting is in their best interest due to being so well-numbered. In doing so, they leave their camp behind, which Chase spots and decisively calls some friends over. When Team 007 returns, Lillac, Hagakure, the Masked Gentleman, and Chase, of course, are laying waste to their camp, almost completely raiding it. Team 007 successfully fends them off, but at what cost? The damage is more than done. Marx and Melia encounter one another in the arena. Instead of having an epic show down like Anna and Mr. Monopoly did, they sit down for a bit, discussing their lives, and eventually decided that they could stand to partner up with each other for a bit. They decide to split up and look for clues resources, pooling them together and splitting them rather easily by nightfall. Melly is kind enough to take anything Marx can't use very well for herself, yet he still manages to pull away with a rather fair amount. Exchanging the closest thing to a handshake they can give, they part ways and wait until the other realizes that they didn't quite get their share. This never happens. Wendy Oldbag manages to gather enough supplies to build herself a nice little shack. It's...shaky, but it will keep the rain off her head. However, she notices a silver capsule floating down, and goes to grab it...only to be beaten to the punch by Glowzor. She backs off when the drop is revealed to be a bomb *insert last update's copypasta* and...well, let's just say she's lucky that Glowzor left it as a threat. Now, you see the problem with this, don't you? I'll give you three guesses. Actually, never mind, the problem is absolutely no one died. Everyone except for Oldbag and Monopoly is glad that the last 24 hours have been without wasted lives, and they all set out on their nightly business hoping it brings the same. It probably won't. I guess I need to update. *comment* Chapter 5In the darkness In the cold night The tributes that remain all scramble to continue living Nep thinks about winning. Just think of all the fat stacks of cash, the praise of conquering Lavos, the prospect of being the Badass Normal in a district full of time gods and spatial masters. Think...of all the Top Nep (tm) hats... Wendy Oldbag allows Lavos into her shelter. The good news? Lavos has shelter. The bad news? Wendy Oldbag just did Glowzor's job for him. Maybe that was a thing to worry about before letting this giant thing in. Why haven't the more active tributes spotted him or Whale yet? These things should be easy to see coming a mile away. Glowzor, meanwhile, receives an item to further his explosive threats, though he hasn't been by Oldbag's shack recently to make another threat, so he doesn't see that Lavos has beaten him to the punch and goes to sleep. Monopoly convinces Whale to cuddle with him. How does he do this? He allows himself to be crushed under the many, many tons of blubber and mass that is Whale. Under any other circumstances, Whale would have finished the job, but hey, no better place to sleep than on top of someone, am I right? Chase looks at the night sky, passing the time by looking at constellations. Look, there's Big Dipper, there's Little Dipper, there's Polaris, there's Gravity Dipper, there's deja vu, there's Orion's belt, there's Hercules, there's deja vu, there's Thor's hammer, there's deja vu... Melia gets lost. Sadly, despite the inherent sense of birds to fly south for the winter and return to their nest in spring, this does not transfer to Melia not paying attention to her surroundings wondering when Marx would come back for her. Shulk and the others should have sent her a map, not water. Mimikyuu is ambushed. However, this precious cinnamon roll does not understand the concept of enemies, only bullies. So it mistakes all the ambushers for friends and quickly rushes right into the arms...of the Chariot Master. "Oh, shoot. This is Mimikyuu's?" Hagakure says. "I didn't predict this! Yeah, no, I can't do that to it! It's been a central point in the Sun/Moon debate for months now! To kill it would be betraying the trust of all those in the Future District who support this smol child, and--" Anna chimes in with a "Haven't you people ever heard of killing things to survive? No, it's they way of the world to kill something, and live on using its own dead remains. In fact, that's where leatherskin boots come from! And leatherskin purses! And...well, food!" Hagakure leaves, letting Anna and the Chariot Master sort this out themselves. "...aren't you going to--" "This reminds me of when Phos was a pony. It was my first encounter with a unicorn...and now it's my first encounter with a Mimikyuu. For bringing up such a distant and cherished memory of mine..." The Chariot Master puts Mimikyuu down and walks away, his dying heat warmed by the innocence of the disguised Pokemon. With no one left to support her, Anna just...leaves. She doesn't even say anything, she just...leaves. And so Mimikyuu begins its path on the Pacifist Route. Alba, Lillac, and Susie manage to stay awake long enough to sleep in shifts. Good thing, too, because I've already used Mimikyuu's action for tonight and I can only cute so many things into submission. Katrielle isn't as lucky at her camp, as she encounters Marx, Team 007, and most importantly... " The Masked Gentleman. Couldn't let someone else finish me off first, hm?" "But of course. What mastermind would I be if I didn't try to finish off my adversary myself?" "With two other tributes supporting you? That's not exactly a fair fight, Miracle Mask. I'm kind of disappointed." "When you and your fellow detectives ganged up on me before I started gaining support as well? Yes, you heroes always play fair. You never cheat. That can obviously be seen in how James Bond has taken his entire crew with him to the grave!" "They didn't volunteer. They were dragged into this because their names were called, same as me. I'll admit, I was hesitant to volunteer myself, but when I was called, I had no choice. I'm glad I was called now. This'll be just like old times, won't it, Miracle Mask? You setting the traps as I lay my own outside the bounds of your arena?" "Arena? You have me mistaken for that scientist, Descole. When it comes down to it, I won't give you an opportunity to hold a pipe to my sword, Katrielle Layton!" With that he rushes at her, tripping on a thin wire between them. "You're not wrong, I presume," said Katrielle, "but in a game of chess, you constantly have to predict your opponent's next move. I can tell you thought you would leave me behind at the Reaping--" she grabs Marx, who had tried to attack her as she said that, "--and I won't let these silly Games get in the way of your unmasking!" She tosses Marx at Team 007, who attempted to attack as well, dodging and weaving between the other members that Marx missed. She takes a stick from her fire and uses it as a weapon against the Team, using the still-lit branch to allow herself some space. Meanwhile, she turns towards the Masked Gentleman, who has found the time to get on his feet and attempt to attack her with a proper cane. She uses her burning stick to block the first few strikes, but it breaks before he ends his assault, and the fire drops between them, making the Mask step back and giving Katrielle the chance to tackle him to the ground. She tries to pry his mask off, and, seeing his defeat in sight if he couldn't get help, he tosses a handmade smoke bomb at Marx, who catches and tosses it on the ground near the two. Katrielle coughs, giving the Masked Gentleman an opening to knock her off and make his escape. Marx flees as well, leaving Katrielle with only Team 007 to fend off. She sustains many injuries trying to dodge multiple people at once, but grabs a knife just as she was cornered and starts dealing damage, forcing the Team to run if they didn't want to sustain fatal injuries. The night won, she tries to relax, but thoughts of the Masked Gentleman haunt her, and she gets little sleep. The sun rises on the next day, leaving tensions high from the last event. There hasn't been a death yet...but that could change. Tune in next time... Chapter 5 END: Shadow of the White Army

Who the heck keeps sending Glowzor all these explosives? I mean, really. Sure, don't bother sending food or water or medicine or something a tribute could really use, just send him another grenade to lug around. Before long Glowzor's gonna have enough to set up his own arms trade.

Well OUCH Monarch. You didn't have to go THAT far. I almost didn't want to do this. Keyword almost. You thought it was a lack of an update, but it was ME, DIO! And, if it so pleases your majesty of insanity... Chapter 6...is it chapter 6 already? Wow. Feel blessed everyone. Today's the third day, so let's get right on with it and hope we see bloodshed. Team 007 questions their sanity. One by one. They all fall slowly into madness, looking at each other like they were enemies themselves. As if they were...food...yes...yes, just a...just a lick would be fine, wouldn't it? Wouldn't...no! Their strength...they have to stay strong...they can last for so much longer without food or water, right...? They just had t--oh hey look a river they're saved and they all stuff themselves. Whale is pricked by thorns trying to pick berries with its enormous flippers. Witnessing this failure, Glowzor tells Whale to stand back as he shows them how it's done. Just gotta...no, okay, not there...okay ouch...ow ow ow ow oW OW OW OKAY THEN. So...as it turns out, this bush is impossible to pick. Glowzor feels very sorry that Whale had to be first to experience this, but tells them that they can and will find a bush to pick eventually...which Mimikyuu takes as a cue, apparently, to hop right into the bush. Whale and Glowzor are stunned...until Mimikyuu hops right back out with a ton of berries and absolutely no scratches. It walks on happily, leaving the two witnesses to wonder what the hell that thing is capable of. Marx...*sigh*...just...just don't blow yourself up, okay? Please? I'm starting to wonder if I should just retcon these explosive commands. Melly searches for firewood. It's not that hard, actually. She finds a lot of branches and logs that she can carry back to her camp. She'll probably have a great fire going by tonight. Now...if only she could get a handle on the ether in this arena... Lavos questions his sanity too. This actually doesn't last very long, as he'd likely have been insane for multiple eternities by this point. It washes off like rain. Mimikyuu walks back to the temporary camp it made with the Chariot Master. Rawst Berries...a whole bunch. Litwick loved Rawst Berries, despite their effects on it. They said it felt nice to be able to let their light burn low, to feel so close to moving on...but they'd be moving on without Mimikyuu. That's why they always stayed: to give Mimikyuu a friend when on off days it was seen only as a worthless impostor. A friend...its only friend... Mimikyuu holds back its tears. It didn't matter now. For Litwick, and the people arguing over Sun and Moon, it had to stay alive. That was all it could do. But when Mimikyuu gave its spoils to the Chariot Master so they could pool and share resources, it kept a Rawst Berry for itself and ate it. Litwick is gone, moved on now, but not forgotten. Chase and Katrielle work together to do stuff. Not much stuff is done, however. Katrielle did fine defending her camp, and Chase was doing rather well for himself, so as they tried to find a good reason to leave that spot, they talked. "So, I hear the Agents District isn't really held within its own place. You're all spread out, a part of multiple districts. How does that work?" "Well, the world as a whole is comprised of many different people, as you know...there's heroes like you and Melia, normal people like Alba and Hagakure...and, more importantly, villains like Lavos, Marx..." "And the Masked Gentleman. Of course. So your district exists for the purpose of keeping track of these villains?" "A bit more than that. Sometimes we're the villains of the story too, trying to use our own seemingly evil methods to neutralize a greater threat. It's a hard job, being in this district." "I see...but it's impossible to exist in EVERY district, right? The Whale District...the Deduction District..." "Yeah, it's districts like those where our hands are more or less tied to a pole. But those districts do well enough on their own, and...to be quite honest, we get a kick out of watching their affairs. In fact, I'm a big fan of the Deduction District myself. The internal power struggles...the heroes who work out solutions to the problems...even your own struggle with the Miracle Mask." "...you really are? So then..." "Yeah. If circumstances allow it, I'll be happy to help you, Katrielle. Just say the word." "...well, I'm sure we could allow one or two of you to be in our district. Just try to be on the side of the smartest guys." Alright, let's play the game of Who Is Sponsored! First up, we have...Anna! Anna sees a silver capsule falling from the sky and dive bombs to grab it. As it turns out, she get some nice food. Very nice food. Best food. Fresh food. Second, we have...Nep! Nep sees a capsule slowly float down into her camp and opens it, revealing food! Whew! What a relief. She didn't want to hunt today. She happily eats some. Third, we have...Wendy Oldbag? Um? She sees another capsule and opens it, revealing... oh gods no. She...she attempts...to set it down...and blows herself up rest in freaking pieces. Susie and Mr. Monopoly hunt for other tributes. Susie is on the lookout for Marx, and Mr. Monopoly for Lillac upon realizing she stole his supplies at first. However, with their attention split, they find and kill no one, only succeeding in finding the late Oldbag. Quercus Alba and Lillac look for firewood together as the sun starts setting. The deaths flash onscreen as they do so, with Oldbag being the only one. He...well, he shrugs it off. So does Lillac. I can't actually say that anyone at all actually wanted to mourn for Wendy. Poor girl. Only Melia feels any sort of pain and even then she only feels it because the Games exist. So yeah. Lillac and Alba have firewood now. Hagakure does himself a favor and looks for water. He finds none...up until he spots all of Team 007 around many fish skeletons and fast asleep from hunger relief. Realizing they found a river, he tiptoes around and fills up his canteen, managing to fully replenish his water before moving on. The sun has set, and now...we wait until Night 3 for any deaths. Yay. I guess Oldbag is enough of a sacrifice to appease my appetite for bloodshed for the time being. Although the fact that it was an accidental suicide makes it less exciting.

Bring together the courage Of the rising crimson blood If inherited love is called "fate"... Chapter 7...then move forward with smiling eyes, tributes. This is the third night of the games. This has separated the flukes from the fighters. Are they all prepared for this? Marx thinks about home again. However, he can't stop thinking about him...about the way he was tricked...about the way he was so brave and heroic...about how he managed to pull together all his strength to defeat him...twice! Soul monsters are a tricky sort, you see. The first time you defeat something with the potential to have a Soul form, they are reduced to...well, a soul. That soul ends up gaining power: be it from something they were surrounded by, sometimes from the very thing that gave it power to start, perhaps even something the original was made after, in some cases. Sometimes this soul even keeps its original shape. However, the second time you defeat a Soul...their existence comes to an end. After a Soul is gone, it's gone. Forever. There is almost no bringing it back, because to craft a soul identical to the one lost is nearly impossible. It was by sheer luck that Marx managed to hang on to his soul and convince his foe that he was dead, at the cost of most of his power. He was still a Soul...but a Soul without something to draw power from... ...and that was why Susie huddled with the Chariot Master. That, and warmth, but Susie explained the situation to the Chariot Master and told him what she planned to do about it. "...I see. So you wish for my aid in ridding you of this foe?" "Yes. I hate to admit it, but a Soul without power to draw from is still a Soul. Not only that, but...he's the reason behind the Sun and Moon wars." And so the Chariot Master took Susie's plea into consideration. Lavos, despite their status as nothing too short of a god, is actually very stealthy. Whale was a fast sleeper, you see, and they didn't notice much going on when they were asleep. Lavos had taken notice of this, and crafted this plan to sneak in a day in advance. When Whale would wake up the next morning, they would find most, if not all their supplies destroyed. Meanwhile, Yasuhiro Hagakure thinks about the home he left behind to--what? A capsule? Never mind. He receives fresh food, along with a message. "Can you try and predict my fortune? Practice makes perfect, after all, and I want to see you win." He predicts that his sponsor will find themselves with a reason to want the dead revived. Time will tell if it comes true. Glowzor starts a fire in the darkness. It's really just for warmth, as his technicolor bones give him a nice edge in light. Nothing else happens, but he does hear singing off in the distance...courtesy of Melia and Team 007. The Masked Gentleman is with them, in search of either Katrielle or his smol cinnamon roll Mimikyuu. Mimikyuu, as it turns out, is with Anna. She decides to converse with the little thing, knowing it has no real way to reply. "So. How about those tributes? I know you've seen quite a few." *nod nod* "Wow. You really like all the ones you've met?" *nod nod point smile* "...even me? Aw! You shouldn't!" *smile* "...no...really, you shouldn't. Anyway, who's your favorite?" *careful consideration* "Haven't decided? Heh. I guess you wouldn't have. Me? I don't know. I have my eyes on that Lilac character. It'd be nice if she won. She seems kinda...gentle. It would say a lot about the luck factor that goes into these games...though...hm. I really should kill you right now, but...I know just how important you are, Mimikyuu." *???* "So...I'll tell you this. If you want to spare your heart...then don't survive until I'm the only one left standing besides you. Okay? I...I don't mean this as convincing you to kill yourself. Just...don't outlive me. I'm a businesswoman before I'm a friend." *...slow nod* Meanwhile, Katrielle and Mr. Monopoly bump into each other and truce. They set up camp, and...well, Katrielle has something to ask. "Mr. Monopoly, was it?" "Yes, that would be me." "...you're in the same district as Anna. Is...is there anything I should know about her?" "...Ms. Layton. Anna is a businesswoman. A ruthless one. She offers deals that people cannot resist, she always gets the best price she can, and no matter what, she does not let an opportunity get away. She is the luckiest of almost anyone in our district, and such opportunities come often. I...I had no idea what she was like in battle before yesterday, but...please, if you can, stay away from her. And hope someone else kills you or her before she has the chance." Lillac, Nep, Chase, and Quercus Alba all meet up in a clearing. Earlier that night, they had all agreed to fight here. Now, it was the time. "Are you sure you don't wanna back out now?" said Nep. "Because I'll understand if you can find it in you to know I'm better." "No, trust me, I won't," said Chase. "Now, you remember the rules, right? We defeat one person, then we leave?" "I remember," said Lillac. "Alba...are you ready?" Alba only nods, knowing he had little choice but to fight. "Let's get started, then."Starting the fight right off, Chase goes immediately for Quercus Alba. The two exchange a couple blows with their fists at first, then Chase pulls out a baton from nowhere and knocks him to the floor. He's about to capitalize when Nep grabs him by the collar, swings him around, and tosses him into Lillac. She turns to face Alba, who punches her in the face and proceeds to deliver an uppercut. He attempts to pin her down, but fails and ends up being stomped on by Chase after getting off of her. Chase and Lillac are meanwhile trying to wrestle each other to the ground, occasionally trying to kick each other to wear them down. However, Chase is thrown off balance from stomping on Alba's face, and proceeds to be thrown to the ground by Lillac. She gets a few nice hits in before Nep kicks her off and starts doing her own damage to him, and Chase eventually manages to kick her off of him into Lillac, allowing him enough time to grab a sharp branch and finish off the suffering Alba before any more damage can be done to him. Chase runs from the fight, leaving Nep and Lillac to exchange blows with each other. Nep takes a swing, misses, and tanks a nice right hook from Lillac. She capitalizes on this with a few more punches to the face, followed by some kicks to the stomach and then throws her to the ground and body slams her. She goes to take the branch used to finish off Alba, yet...she plants it in the ground next to Nep. "You were the one who suggested this fight, Neptune. Next time, maybe you should come better-prepared." She flees the scene, leaving Nep to live until next morning. And with that, the sun begins to rise on the next day, leaving all the tributes who live with a new challenge ahead of them. Who will live? Who will die? Find out next time, on Hunger Games Z Super! These are some pretty good music choices.
Also, poor Quercus Alba never got to live his dream of becoming a whale hunter.

Snowgloooooobe! EDIT: I realize both links lead to the same place. But, I did it for a reason. Click when the time is right, and stop the first link when you finish Layton. Here's our lineup for today. Rest in pieces. Chapter 8Already on our eighth chapter? Wow, are we on a roll or what? Mimikyuu finds Chase after his fight with Nep Lillac and Alba. When the sun rose, they decided to work together to find the Chariot Master, but, um...they both had very different reasons for doing so. Eventually, they find him...and the Chariot Master is tackled by Chase. The two enter a struggle, and as Mimikyuu scrambles to register what just happened, Chase pulls out a baton as the Chariot Master summons a bow of some sort. The two duel with these weapons, and Chase barely manages to get the upper hand. The Chariot Master huffs and puffs along with Chase, and the two stare each other down. Mimikyuu gets between them as Chase makes one last lunge for the Chariot Master and...strikes Mimikyuu instead. Mimikyuu's Disguise fell apart...Various sounds reach the ears of Team 007, which distracted them long enough for one lone tribute to launch an attack. It starts with one member being knocked out. Then the next is caught in a struggle. They lose and are thrown to the ground, giving another member time to pin them down as the others try to escape. The assailant, Katrielle, gets her pinner off, and the second conscious member picks up the unconscious member and runs. Seeing that the rest of them escaped, the final member takes their leave and runs as well. Katrielle drops to her knees. Such an opportunity couldn't be missed, yet she failed to kill even a one. Was she not strong enough? Did she not have it in her to kill? These questions fill her head as she runs through some more plans in her head, ignoring the nearby struggle. Hagakure, meanwhile, on the other side of the world, receives some nice medical supplies. He wonders if any of his allies are nearby so he can give it to them, because he certainly doesn't have any use for these right now. Then again, he has little reason to actively search, so he just stays where he is. Glowzor and the Masked Gentleman pair up to search for Katrielle. But then they find Lavos, who is looking for Nep to finish her off. They all decide to do the thing and meet Mr. Monopoly, who is looking for Anna. They figure that these girls would stick together and keep looking. Then to top it all off, Marx comes in with a desire to be relevant. Needless to say, with all of these desires combined, these five get very little done at all and they just sort of derp until sundown. Meanwhile, Nep, instead of tending to her injuries, decides to walk it off by picking up flowers of all things. However, these are no ordinary flowers. They are buttercups. What she plans to do with them is definitely beyond me, but she picks up a ton. I don't know why. Well, at least one of the Derp Team's predictions was slightly correct: Lillac and Anna are working together. However, they immediately decide to split up for the day and gather resources. They both grab quite a bit, and Lillac is proving to be quite the thief. However, when the time comes to split the spoils...Anna walks away with less, with a smile on her face. What is with her? Why is she being so...generous? Why is she letting Lillac get away with this? She looks towards the camera. "I have faith that her victory will be a nice profit, too. Dare to prove me wrong?" Susie goes hunting. There is nothing special, she's just hunti--oh hey, it's that log! You know, the log? Come on, you know the one! Anna had a whole paragraph dedicated to this thing! Yeah, that's right, it's the Anna's Miraculous Log Ride Log! It's decayed a bit since then, but as it turns out, there's quite a few small animals here. She fires some arrows and walks away with a good bounty. Thanks, Anna's Miraculous Log Ride Log! Melia and Whale decide to split up for resources as well. However, this is harmful in one case and rather useless in another, as Melia is the only one of the two capable of gathering resources efficiently and Whale is quite good on resources for now anyway. Regardless, Melia comes out with more usable resources. She's the Hatshepsut of the Hunger Games, I tell you what. Mimikyuu wakes up to the sunset. Chase is long gone, and the Chariot Master is hardly breathing. Mimikyuu hastily fixes its head disguise, eats a berry to restore its health, then runs over to the Chariot Master, crying. "...you. The...Pokemon." *crying* "...no...don't be sad. This...was the only way a warrior like me could go out of this life." *shakes head, crying* "...Mimikyuu. This...this is not your fault. You couldn't have known that Agent's intents. I ask of you one thing, Mimikyuu. Are you listening...?" *hesitant nod, sobbing* "...take my supplies. Win the Games, or survive by some other means. When you find your way back, go to the Warrior District, and take my life's pride...the Lightning Chariot." *confusion* "...Chase did most of the work in killing me. But...your anger at him...it caused your energy to go awry. Some of your attacks missed him...and hit me." *shock* "That means you were the one to finish me off. And you fought off that Agent as well. That makes you worthy of the Chariot. Take it, and use it to end the Sun and Moon wars...however you will..." *sobbing, head shaking, request to reconsider* "...do not worry. Phos and Lux will understand, and the Chariot will prove instrumental in reaching everyone and ending that fight, how you see fit." *desperate sobbing and head shaking* "...heh. It's nice...to know someone can have such an attachment...to someone they barely know..." The Chariot Master fades away. In the sky, his face and Quercus Alba's appear, spelling the end of the Games for the Judicial and Warrior Districts. Mimikyuu sobs for quite a while before making a decision. It picks up the Chariot Master's helmet, puts it on, and looks towards the sky. In honor of a friend...and in honor of those it has to protect from the tragedies of the ongoing wars. Chapter 8 END: Bisection Point/War and Peace
