The 1st Annual #kun Forums Hunger Games have begun! But first, let's find out exactly how this ridiculous mess came about. A few years ago, some dumb little boy came up with this super cool idea. That young boy told his friends and family all about his dream, where people from all across the country would compete in a grand competition, where only one would survive. He proclaimed it "The Hunger Games", for he was pretty hungry at the time. When his parents asked him to describe the event in more detail, he explained, "So you got these twenty-four guys from twelve places, and they all want to win. So they go to get supplies in the center of the place and then beat each other up! Then, they all go around and try to kill each other! And then when the last person is standing, they get all kinds of cool prizes! Like dinosaurs and race cars and lots of cool toys!" The young boy proceeded to rant about this twisted game, while his parents tried to organize a meeting with the psychiatrist. Unfortunately, the psychiatrist liked the idea, and her brother happened to have a high place in the government... All in all it was a big mess. But now that the Hunger Games are something we have to live with, it's time for the first event, The Reaping, to begin! Well that was the lamest backstory ever. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------What is This? The #kun Forums Hunger Games will be run using the Hunger Games Simulator, which can be found using this link! During each season, one forumer will be in charge. Other people will submit characters to be incorporated in the Hunger Games, and once we are ready to begin, they will put the characters into the simulator and start it. The author will take the simulation (either going a few pages at a time or reading through the entire thing) and attempt to turn each page into a single written update. Other forumers are free to comment on the updates if they wish, and this is helpful to keep the author from double-posting. You can expect to see many different writing styles depending on the author. Some may write something more literary and in-depth, while others will write more comical works. Eventually, the season will end and we will have a winner. The RulesIf you are not the author, the rules are fairly simple. 1. Post two characters with accompanying images (preferably in spoilers if the images are too big). They can be from anything, even real life. If both of them are meant to be part of the same district, say so. 2. Wait for the author to begin. The author will begin the game once all 24 spaces are filled, or once they get tired of waiting and fill all the open ones. 3. Watch the fireworks. Some games might have themes for the submissions. It depends entirely on the author's choice. One extra rule: The author gets to submit four characters instead of two in the season after his. This is meant to be a sort of "reward" for consistently writing all of the updates. What's happening for the first game? The first author will be me, Planetbox. You can expect something in the vein of my #kun CYOA in Neverending. It will be fairly comical and not really that serious. As for the next author, I have no idea who that will be. This season won't have a special theme, so just submit whatever you want and I'll start it up eventually. Useful Notes for the Author:The simulator can be pretty weird, so if you're the author, keep these tips in mind. 1: Before you begin the first update, it's generally wise to go a few pages forward to make sure no Arena Events happen early. If they do, a huge number of characters can die before the game really begins, which pretty much ruins the season as a whole. If an Arena Event happens late in the game, it's not as bad. Remember, the author has the right to change events as they see fit, but not they can't retcon a character's death. For example, if you don't like how one of the final two fell in a pit and died instead of being killed by the victor, feel free to change that. 2: The simulator is weird regarding how images work. It only accepts .png images, so a large quantity of images will fail for no obvious reason. To fix this, simply add .png to the end of the image. Even if it already has a tag in it. I'm serious. You can also change files like .jpeg to .png for the same results. However, some images will still fail no matter what you try, in which case, it's a good idea to get new images. For example, none of Monarch's images worked in the first season. 3: The Fallen Tributes images must be changed manually. There are few options. You can manually select a different image (like using a picture of that character's dead body), or you can select an option from below the tribute settings. For example, you can make the image black and white, or put and X over it. If you don't change the settings somehow, the images will all end up broken. Season BacklogBelow are links to past season's and their season codes. Simply click the link or enter the season to re-read the season without the hassle of spoilerboxes or image albums. Canon Seasons: Season 1 (Planetbox) Code: A0C9zr6M Season 2 (Koopario) Code: eGlttqPo Failed Seasons: These seasons were not used for whatever reason. brantsteele.net/hungergames/r.php?c=DROX8ADG Code: DROX8ADG I also had some failed seasons, but I think they ran out of time and got deleted. Here are the codes, just in case it was actually something on my end."uLN3zIp6" "MbyZdIAs" As I mentioned, these seasons might get deleted if the author does not select "Keep Forever". But the images can still be viewed in the actual updates, so it doesn't really matter.

It's not hot enough, and there's too few players... So let's add some Fire Emblem... Lucina: ...maybe a bit of Castlevania... Soma Cruz: ...and sure why not let's add a Crypt. Cadence, from Crypt of the Necrodancer: Which you may as well just use the sprite for in facial stuffs: These images are certainly larger than I'd like them to be, so...yeah.

Welp, let's have a little fun with this, why not? Let's start off with little mister Timmo C. Gatlin... Maybe a bit of Freedom Planet with my favorite character, Carol Tea... And you know what, let's throw The Batter in too. This ought to be interesting.

I didn't realize there was a kun forum till now. I am not really good with Hunger Games settings, but I think I figured out a character... Doofenshmirtz: Quality Bratwurst Edition Totally didn't add him as a rival to Hot Dog Man

Before we start the story, here's some more rule nonsense. At the start of each post will be a spoilerbox thing containing the page that I'm narrating, probably accompanied by a somewhat funny snippet about what happens inside. Then a line break below whatever who cares. The Reaper Reaps. Also, none of Monarch's images worked so I had to get new ones. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------At long last, the long awaited event begins! But in order to get the event started, the Reaping must first begin. Though the name sounds intimidating, it isn't really. The people that decided to spend their limited time on this Earth running the Hunger Games simply pull 12 districts out of a hat. As the districts in #kun forums change their borders and names, like, once a month (simply for the purposes of plot convenience) it is imperative that their hat be updated to include the current map. The group accidentally got an old baseball cap from 1980 the first time, which caused a lot of confusion. After they choose the districts, twelve delegates go to each dimension and find the nearest McSalmons. The twelve set up a soap box, and a bunch of signs, and start loudly requesting for sign-ups. After about five hours of obnoxious advertising and wasted time, the delegates eventually got the correct amount of sign-ups. In the District With No Name (aka I have no idea why I put these two in the same district), the first person to sign up was AA:AJ era Ema Skye. Detective Skye was hoping that by winning the games, she could get enough prestige to become a forensic scientist. I'm not quite sure what she was thinking because she lives in the same area as Spirit of Justice era Ema Skye who is already a forensic scientist, but oh well. Armed with her trusty bag of Snackoos, she volunteered for the games. By this time, the delegate was getting pretty tired of waiting, so he gave Ema Skye her waivers to sign, grabbed a Gremlin that was standing around nearby, and signed him up. He then shoved both of them in a government van and drove away. The Jump District was next. True to its name, the district was mainly themed around people who wore overalls. Two of these people, Mario and Waluigi, quickly signed up for the games. Mario seemed to be kind of confused about the nature of the game, and was quoted saying, "Bowser must be up to-a no good again." On the other hand, Waluigi seemed to be trying to escape from his unfullfilling life, which doesn't sound good. To the east of the Jump District is the Ask Asphoxia District, as in ask Asphoxia what this District is because I don't know. Here Ivory Rowling Bonaventure and The Batter signed up, but I can't say much for their motivations because I have no idea who Rowling is. Yeah, sorry about that. Next was the Cat District, a horrible place. The Battle Cats ruled the area with an iron fist, and their only goal was to take over the neighboring Dog District, home to their bitter rivals, the Doges. Regular white doges, Demon Doges, Angel Doges, and the occasional Demon Doge or Wall Doge frequently attacked buildings in the area, and the Battle Cats waged battle against them in the streets. Pretty much everyone was stuck in safe houses below ground, as going above the surface could mean getting crushed by a Titan Cat, run over by a Giraffe Cat, or having your account info stolen by a Hacker Cat. There were a few rebels trying to stop the war, but they couldn't make much progress. That was until the delegate dude came to the district looking for tributes. The Battle Cat President, believing it to be a new land in need of conquering, signed up and brought their army with them. Once they were gone, the Doge Empire got bored and left. Afterwards, the rebels took over the city, and it was a pretty cool and exciting story. Sadly, that story is not important. What is important is that one of the rebels, Carol Tea, also joined the Hunger Games for some reason, possibly to take revenge on the Battle Cats. Either way, it happened, and we might as well accept it. Another delegate went to the Packaged Meat District. Here, the famous celebrity Jojo Hot Dog Man joined the Hunger Games, possibly in the hopes of getting more publicity, but I'd be less surprised if he joined without thinking. His rival, Doofenshmirtz' Quality Bratwurst, also joined. He hoped to defeat his greatest rival on the field of battle, and establish bratwurst as THE supreme lunch meat. His plan will likely fail, but we'll at least know that he tried. Nearby was the Immenent Death District, where ANYONE CAN DIE. One of this district's residents, Chiaki Nanami, signed up for the Hunger Games, hoping to escape her fate. Some may call this a poor decision, but about five of her friends had just died, two of them being murdered by two of the others, which can do quite a bit to your mental state. Meanwhile, Lucina, who had just lost her S Support Partner, volunteered for the same reason. (Can Lucina even die in Classic mode or is she too important? Actually, I don't care.) Next was the Dungeon District, with lots of dungeons and stuff I guess I don't know we're getting into the really loose connections here. Soma Cruz and Cadence volunteered for the Hunger Games here, probably hoping for ADVENTURE or whatever. If you can't tell I'm getting kind of tired of writing at this point. Next is the Spooky Dimension. The delegate was pretty spooked out by having to come here to advertise, but it payed off. Justin Law, a spooky religious execution guy, was the first to join. Pretty spooky indeed, but not quite as spooky as Belgae. He was an invisible gentlemenly guide guy! Even spookier! It's easy to see why he joined, cause being dead and all he didn't have much to lose. (Is he even supposed to be dead in the game? Actually, I don't care.) Next is the Sports District, the dimension of SPORTS! Here, Kiyama Hiroto joined for some reason. Probably to get more recognition for his team. Stupid Skylanders Spyro also joined (The game has a sports spinoff right? If it doesn't now I'm sure it will soon.). He's the bitter rival of Smart Spyro the Dragon Spyro. He thinks that if he joins the Hunger Games, his advertisers might listen to him. He always told them that he's a popular character that lots of people have heard of, but they don't care. They just use the stupid new guys with no personality instead. Filled with rage about their actions, he signs up for the games. Next is the Brawl in the Family District. This district houses all the panels from Brawl in the Family and a few characters from CYOAs there as well. (Yeah I know Determination isn't on BitForums but I don't have anywhere else to put him.) The first panel of Brawl in the Family signs up. It holds a special place in many peoples hearts, and is content with it's life. With that in mind, I have no clue what it's doing signing up for this. A few minutes later, Timmo C. Gatlin takes his notebook and signs up as well. As for why, it seems like he was looking for something to do while his CYOA was idling away. Good thing his death wouldn't be canon if it actually happens though. Next is the ??? District. These guys were just leftover at the end. We've got Galacta Knight, who signed up in search of more experience and training. We've also got a fish. Yep, just a fish. Perhaps he's related to Billbert the Fish? Either way, we've obviously got a great setup here. Finally, the last district. The Why District. If you live in this district, it means the world of #kun forums is trying to figure out why you exist. The delegate was rather annoyed that he had to step foot here, but fortunately, he got volunteers quickly. Donut Steel, a steel donut, signed up because he felt like it. The final volunteer was some kind of weird potato thing named Monarch. He had no reason to join. Let's just pretend that he isn't here. With The Reaping complete the 1st Annual #kun Forums Hunger Games was finally ready to begin. The tributes were taken to the Capitol of #kun Forums, and after a week spent preparing, they were sent to the arena. Soon they found themselves standing on one of twenty-four podiums outside the Cornucopia. The timer counted down, and the Bloodbath was about to begin. TO BE CONTINUED TOMORROW MAYBE I DON'T KNOW

Don't forget to post in the thread if you want to comment on what happens. It keeps this thread from becoming an infinite double posting mess. Bloodbath? More like... bath. Do you read the images first, or the update itself? TOUGH DECISIONS. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The buzzer sounds. The contestants all step off of their podiums, and the games begin. They find themselvea in a large field, with the cornucopia located in the center. This clearing ends in a large forest that spreads all around them.(pretty much just like the 74th Annual Hunger Games) There isn't quite as much bloodshed as there is in the actual games. (That's one major flaw with this simulator) The tributes have three choices: Flee the cornucopia in terror, hunt for some supplies, or commit MURDER! Let's see what the contestants choose! A group of seven people decide to start a protest against the bloodshed at the cornucopia. They all hold up handmade signs saying things like "Run because your life depends on it!", "Who needs supplies!", and "Cornucopia? More like SCORNucopia lol", and then the group runs away from the battle as fast as they can. These seven people are: Mario, Justin Law, Carol Tea, Belgae, Stupid Skylanders Spyro, Rowling, and Bratwurst Doof. You read that right, both of the tributes from the Spooky District hightailed it out of there at the first sight of a minor injury. They were probably scared of each other. Anyway, their plan would have gone fine if Stupid Skylanders Spyro didn't trip on the way out and fall on his stupid face. Carol Tea and Bratwurst Doof help him get back up and then flee the cornucopia with the others. Once they make it into the forest, they all go their seperate ways, having realized that the handmade signs they have could potentially be used as deadly weapons. Meanwhile, a few other who are a little braver decide to collect objects from in or around the cornucopia. For example, Chiaki Nanami grabs a backpack sitting right next to her podium and quickly leaves. Unfortunately for her, the backpack was actually completely empty. Sucker. One Fish "stays at the cornucopia for resources" which I assume means he grabs as much stuff as he can that's lying in the field. He grabs a few weapons and a cantine of water, which will be helpful in preventing his fishy body from suffocating. Galacta Knight and the Battle Cats run up the very edge of the cornucopia, finding two shields leaning agains the side. Galacta Knight escapes to the trees, using the shield to block attacks from anyone who tries to kill him. Meanwhile, the Battle Cats use the shield as a hat, and then escape as a group. Most of the more hostile tributes are too confused to try anything. Lucina manages to get into the cornucopia itself and grabs a sword, her weapon of choice, before hightailing it out of there. Cadence, Ema Skye, Kiyama Hiroto, and Donut Steel grab a few smaller items and then run into each other. Ema Skye points out that it would be strategically advantageous to cooperate, so the four decide to work together. Cadence and Kiyama grab weapons from inside the cornucopia itself, while Ema and Donut grab supplies from outside. They meet back up, share their items, and then go their separate ways. Finally, Soma Cruz finds a brown bag someone knocked onto the floor of the cornucopia. He picks it up and discovers that it contains several plastic explosives. He escapes with the bag, but accidentally drops one of the explosives onto the floor as he leaves. A few of the tributes get into fights over the items they want, or just try to increase their score. For example, Timmo C. Gatlin and Waluigi reach the cornucopia at the same time. They both set their sights on a basket full of seven loafs of bread, which is sitting on a shelf by the entrance. Gatlin reaches for the bread, but Waluigi tackles him, and the two of them crash into the wall, knocking the basket onto the floor. Waluigi gets back up and grabs the basket, then pulls all the loafs back inside. He tries to get up and make his escape, but Timmo C. Gatlin ain't havin' none of that. He dashes over and delivers a right hook right to Waluigi's nose. The punch breaks his nose, and Waluigi drops the basket in pain. Gatlin snatches the basket, and quickly makes his escape. Waluigi quickly recovers, but by then Gatlin is gone. He silently vows to get his revenge as he escapes. Meanwhile, a gosh darn mess is happening in the back of the cornucopia. Five tributes arrive at the same time. The Gremlin dashes around in search of food, 1st BitF Panel a crate for supplies, and The Batter finds a metal baseball bat sitting on a rack with other blunt instruments, and starts beating the crud out of Jojo Hot Dog Man with it. Monarch, who is quite unsure of what he should to do, notices a shiny object on the floor. He picks it up and starts fiddling with it. It starts blinking extremely quickly, and poor old Monarch is intimidated. He throws the object, which turns out to be the plastic explosive Soma Cruz dropped, into the back of the cornucopia. Seconds later, it explodes in a gigantic fireball, knocking racks of weapons across the floor and forcing Monarch to flee the scene. Once the smoke clears, the cornucopia and many of the weapons inside are covered in ash. Along with them are the charred remains of Gremlin, 1st BitF Panel, Jojo Hot Dog Man, and The Batter, all of which were killed instantly by the explosion. With this, Monarch gets four kills and a lot of support from viewers, even though he didn't really earn any of it. After that, pretty much everyone leaves the cornucopia, if they hadn't already. Tune in next time for the next exciting installment: Day 1!

Wow, Soma. Considering how many explosive souls you get in the Sorrow series I would hope you would be able to keep track of the plastic explosives. Oh well. You inadvertently helped kill people. That's all that counts, right? I say Soma should get those explosive kills.
Also, using signs meant for protesting against the bloodbath as weapons seems kinda counter-intuitive, huh?

Wow, very fitting that Lucina gets a sword.
Going to have to keep an eye on Galacta Knight and Battle Cats, when two very dangerous characters go for the same kind of item... they both must know something.

Poor Mario, he doesn't realize that there isn't going to be a world 1...
Waluigi got bodied, who would've guessed that Waluigi's fabulous nose would even be able to receive pain.
Donut Steel has the best chance of surviving out of all my characters, considering actual supplies.
As for everyone else, Bratwurst Doof has already won the meat war and it's only been day 1, Lucina and Soma both getting weapons they've used in the past (if Soma's rpg counts as traditional explosives) is a scary thought, and Galacta Knight getting a shield is bad news for anyone who wants to "FIGHT ME!" (i know that's a meta knight quote don't judge me) since Galacta Knight is really good at blocking. The Battle Cats, however...well they better have put that shield on a good unit.

Lucina and Soma both getting weapons they've used in the past (if Soma's rpg counts as traditional explosives) is a scary thought, I think at one point in Aria Soma can get a soul that allows him to throw grenades so I think he'll be fine.

Here are some old, non-canon seasons that I didn't want to use for one reason or another: "uLN3zIp6" "MbyZdIAs" Real Action! Real Drama! Real Bloodshed! Rest in Peace. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The first day of the Hunger Games dawns. The tributes begin trying to adapt to their new life in the arena. Some spend the day searching for supplies, while some search for MURDER!! However, some people don't adapt as well as others do. For example, Mario is haunted by the things he saw while running away from the cornucopia. Every time he closes his eyes, images flash through his mind. He sees the giant fiery explosion, the charred remains of those four tributes, and the horrible sight of Waluigi's broken nose. He wonders if he'll survive these games with his sanity intant. On the other hand, Stupid Skylanders Spyro discovers a river. While trying to drink from it, he ends up falling in, and getting swept downstream. I'm not sure how this guy is still alive. The Battle Cats discover a large field filled with beautiful flowers. They decide to spend the entire afternoon picking them and creating floral wreaths using them. This is probably the best possibly use for their time. After the Hunger Games begins, sponsors begin sending supplies to their favorite tributes, hoping to help them win. These gifts will arrive in silver capsules, which float down to the tributes on parachutes. For example, one sponsor sent Ema Skye some fresh food in one of these capsules. Meanwhile, Carol Tea received medical supplies from a sponsor. They sent her a large first-aid kit, which even included complimentary Doctor Lollipops! Unfortunately, the box was extremely heavy, and the capsule broke a few branches on its way down. Luckily, it did not crush Carol Tea. Another capsule landed near Waluigi, and it contained a hatchet that somehow fit inside it. The sponsor was probably inspired to send this by the unfortunate state of Waluigi's nose. Finally, one last capsule fell on Monarch's head. Monarch opened the capsule, and discovered two bottles of fresh water. It is highly likely that this was sent by one of Monarch's many fans that he gained after killing four people on accident in a way that looked like it was on purpose. And yes, those four kills did count for him, not for Soma Cruz. After all, the bomb wasn't actually activated when he dropped it (something that didn't actually occur in the simulation itself) so that would be way too indirect for it to actually count for him. Chiaki Nanami was trying to collect some fruit from high up in a tree, but she accidentally fell from the tree and injured herself. Thankfully, there were no other tributes around when it happened, or that could have ended poorly for her. Donut Steel runs into Rowling in the middle of the woods. Seeing an opportunity, he attacks the defenseless Rowling with throwing knives. She manages to avoid them by ducking behind the trees in the area, so Donut Steel starts moving closer, hoping to stab her. However, Rowling notices one of the knives stuck in a tree she's hiding behind, so she takes it out and throws it into a bush to her right while Donut isn't looking. Hearing the rusting of the bush, he moves there to investigate, so Rowling sneaks away while he's distracted. Meanwhile, Justin Law runs into Kiyama Hiroto at a small campsite the latter set up. He walks up behind him and attacks him with a weapon he apparently got somehow, but Kiyama Hiroto blocks his attacks with a shield he found at the cornucopia, and then escapes. A few tributes try returning to the cornucopia, though a lot of the supplies there were either taken by someone or destroyed in the explosion. Lucina, Soma Cruz, Cadence, and One Fish all try to visit the cornucopia at the same time, and find each other. They agree to team up for the day, and after quickly checking the cornucopia, they leave and hunt for other tributes. However, they don't find anyone. Soon after they leave, Timmo C. Gatlin, who was scoping out the cornucopia, quickly runs inside. He thoroughly checks the area in search of anything useful. He manages to find a small circular land mine, which he thinks could be helpful. He decides to bury it outside the cornucopia. However, while trying to arm the explosive, he accidentally detonates it. The explosion kills him instantly and destroys most of the remaining supplies. Belgae, who has set up camp about a mile away, notices a plume of smoke rising into the air. The smoke appears to be coming from the direction of the cornucopia, and looks somewhat like an explosion. However, he doesn't think that it is worth investigating. Doofenshmirtz' Quality Bratwurst is resting in a clearing which contains two large boulders sticking out of the ground. He is leaning against one on the left, eating some fruit he collected, when Galacta Knight finds his way into the clearing. Noticing a defenseless Doofenshmirtz, Galacta Knight pulls out his shield, and quickly approaches Bratwurst Doof. The latter notices him, but as he attempts to stand up, Galacta Knight dashes forwards and pins him to the wall. Galacta Knight then attacks him by hitting him in the face several times with energy-charged attacks. Bratwurst Doof, desparate to escape, repeatedly kicks Galacta Knight in the face. However, the latter has too much armor on to be affected, so Doof stamps down on Galacta Knight's feet and attempts to remove his mask with his free hand. Eventually, Bratwurst Doof succeeds in removing his mask, and then kicks him in the face. Galacta Knight is thrown to the ground, and he drops his shield. He tries to get back up, but Bratwurst Doof is quicker. He grabs Galacta Knight, lifts him up, and slams him facefirst against the boulder about 10 times in a row. Without his mask, the attacks quickly kill Galacta Knight. Bratwurst Doof flees the clearing, leaving the corpse behind. Dusk arrives, and the living contestants attempt to find shelter for the night. Their quests are interrupted by six cannon shots, followed by an extremely long and annoying tune. After the song, the #kun forums logo appears in the night sky, and then six images appear. The tributes quickly realize that these are the people who died that day. The fallen tributes are: First Brawl in the Family Panel, the Gremlin, Jojo Hot Dog Man, The Batter, Galacta Knight, and Timmo C. Gatlin. Most of the tributes are frightened by the display, afraid for what might happen during the night, and who could die next. However, Waluigi is glad to see that he somehow got his revenge on Gatlin, even if he didn't do it himself. Bratwurst Doof is also glad that Jojo Hot Dog Man had been killed, because his goal was now achieved. Unbeknonst to him, bratwurst was beginning to become extremely popular in the Packaged Meat District. It is clear that Jojo Hot Dog Man's early death, and Bratwurst Doof managing to kill Galacta Knight, a skilled competitor, had a lot to do with it. After the Fallen Tributes are shown, the tributes face their first night in the Arena. Stay tuned for the next installment: Night 1!

Wow, didn't see Doof taking out Galacta Knight coming. And then all my nominees team up with a fish. Just now I realized your pun on discord. XD

Mario has already fulfilled the only reason I put him in the hunger games, in record time too!
Part of me is happy Waluigi got a hatchet, while the other part of me isn't sure that weapons do anything in the hunger games sim (considering galacta knight's fall).
Poor, silly Donut Steel. Good on Rowling for realizing that stabbing a steel object probably would not be the most effective tool by any means.
For everyone else, THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU MESS WITH WALUIGI'S NOSE TIMMO!!! Battle Cats are looking to be a threat as always and inb4 One Fish somehow kills all of Koop's characters...
