Yeah, I saw it last Saturday! The first episode was pretty good, and it was about as overly-dramatic as I expected. I think the anime conveys the games extremely well too. However, I am somewhat worried about whether they'll be able to fit the later cases in without rushing them. Unfortunately, the next episode is called "Turnabout Sisters - Day 1 Trial", which does not bode well for the pacing...

If this is just the first game covered there will likely be 24-26 episodes to cover everything. If they keep everything to a date or session each It should fit in the episode numbers. All good.

Actually, I'm pretty sure they're doing the first AND second game. With 24-26 episodes, it should still be fine, but I'm not sure how amny there will actually be...

Space Patrol Luluco is proving to be crazy stupid seven minute fun. The main character turns into a gun megatron style to shoot aliens with justice. Anime is saved once again.

It seems like the AA anime is going pretty well, although it still seems rather fast-paced to me compared to my memories of actually playing it. Perhaps the act of playing the cases makes it feel longer, I don't know. I'm just really worried it's going to be another Saint Seiya: Soul of Gold- an anime with a good concept and some seriously interesting episodes toward the beginning, but rushing at breakneck speed through the story later on. Aside from AA, I'm watching Dragon Ball Z: Battle of the Gods just for the heck of it and although DBZ probably never will be my favorite anime (I get very restless during long fight scenes despite generally enjoying the characters) and there are a few things about the newer animation (something about the addition of shines to the art style doesn't really work...) I'm actually kind of enjoying it. The villain, Beerus the Destroyer, is really great. I think he may be my favorite character.

It's understandable that some things have to be cut (like Penny Nichols entire existence). I just hope they give Turnabout Goodbyes and Farewell, My Turnabout the attention they deserve.

Yeah, I noticed that particular cut. It's a pity, but maybe at this rate they won't have to rush the next two cases as much, considering just how important they are. I don't think either of those would benefit at all from being sped up, simply because of the characterization that occurs in those two cases. They'd lose some of their meaning if too many cuts were made. Funny, while watching the anime now I can't help but think of the live-action movie... everything was sped up like crazy for that and even more was cut. It was an interesting movie, but they sacrificed pretty much every other case for Turnabout Goodbyes. So far it seems like that isn't happening here, which is good.

Also, I don't think there actually inclusing Rise FRom the Ashes yet. Some people think they might do that as a standalone thing.

Huh. Interesting. I'm actually pretty excited to see how this turns out- so far, it's enjoyable watching. My only regret is the omission of Frank Sahwit's toupee hitting Phoenix in the face.

Yeah, I wish they had done that too. In fact, pretty much everyone did.

Its kind of like Watamote, but more modern.
And if you haven't seen Watamote, well, I don't blame you.
I know for a fact that Keeby has seen it, though.
