Shmu and I tried sending an idea to the BBC once, but they rejected it on the grounds that they didn't take ideas from people because they didn't want legal issues if they skewed someone's idea or the person forgot and tried to sue them.

Sadly, the same thing happened to a guy I know. We came up with a stellar episode idea about the Weeping Angels, but they rejected it. These people just really want to avoid legal issues. Plus, if they accept one idea, they'll have to start accepting all of them.
