Hmm. This probably super retarded but if we're linked to Paragon, and this is absolutely stretching the contextual definition of link, Let's switch our psychic comological protagonist focus off of Marco and start harassing Paragon instead! Surely an update or two with Us behind the wheel will plummet his resolve to new lows yet unknown!

You're right, that idea does sound a bit retarded. Besides, I highly doubt that Paragon would actually find himself needing to follow the commands. There's nothing we've seen to prove they're more than suggestions. Anyways, the whole acting silly thing seems to be working decently well. Perhaps try and come up with a new sleight that looks ridiculous but is actually a valid attack? ...Eh, that probably won't work, but I have some faith that Marko can wing it.

*Hello Marko my old friend... (Roll: 4) [Hello? Are you...WHAT?! No. Nonononono. Don't leave me alone! Not intentionally!] *Besides, I think Dimitri has a point. You literally can't prove that the Paragon will follow any of that. Then again, worth a shot, right? [Nonononononono--]
*Hello, sir! I'd like to offer a few suggestions for you... *...o-oh. "...um...w-was that really...?" **cough* Uh...Paragon says get back into Marko now before he smashes the collective computer screens with a hammer. *I'm sorry but I want to live past seven pages. *Did I mention we beat Planetbox's prediction of five pages?
*...okay! That went worse than expected. "...are they back with you yet?" *You hesitantly inform him that yes, we're now in control of you again, much to the relief of both parties and admittedly myself. "Good. Last time I ever try to breathe fire THIS early in the game..." *You chuckle since you honestly thought you'd get that command. *That's good though. Dumb commands save lives on rare occasions such as this. *Okay, so, since you are kinda almost dead at 40-ish HP and 30 SP-- "...that much? I hardly scratched you..." *Shush. He has truly forced your hand. "Is this another sleight?" *...oh shoot. That pun's too easy to make, I'm sorry Dimitri. I promise I'll get something to make up for this. "Just use the sleight." *Right.
*Sleights -Knife >Disco Inferno "Wait, are you--" "Let the command line play out, man. Dima's trusting me." ->Balancing Top
"...Balancing Top? Uh..." *Quiet fool. *You begin spinning Disco Inferno on your knife. If you were coordinated enough you'd use Nova Limit with this, but hey, Drives. *Once you balance it well enough, you steel yourself. You look up...and very carefully...place the knife...on your nose. *You balance it and Disco Inferno on it for a while. "Can I attack yet?" *No. "..." *... "...h--" *No. "..." *...suddenly you grab the knife and throw it at the Paragon! *It hits and you quickly rush in for a spinning flurry of slashes. *His Resolve drops to 49%, winning you the-- "I have Resolve?" *...you...didn't notice? "...I have Resolve?!" *...yeah. We win, nerd. "... "...well. You...you win, then. Take this."
*You got two Crystal Hearts! Next turn, your HP will rise to 100! The life force within these crystals truly fills you with the energy to go on!
"By the way, time's been stopped. When it restarts, the Nebula door will sense that time was stopped and open to you and Vincent." *Oh yeah. Him. *You thank the Paragon for the free numerical boosts and walk towards the door. The Celestial Bond broken, you open it and walk behind the time frozen Vincent. You wait for time to restart before tapping Vincent on the shoulder. Bad idea, since he proceeds to judo throw you again, this time THROUGH the door and into some slime remains. Your HP is luckily spared from critical condition, but the interface is now malfunctioning. Great. "MARKO?! But--how--" *Long story, you tell him. You also introduce him to Disco Inferno, who seems about ready to kill the guy dead. You say he is (sadly) not a man you want to kill for good measure. "...well, it's pretty cute, but...why Disco Inferno?" *You tell him it's for a Drive, which reminds you that you two should make one as well. "Thanks, but no thanks. I still can't even be sure you're actually the hero of the Stardust." *...ow. Your heart. It breaks. *Nothing personal, you hear, but no matter. What now?
Marko: StarFlare Type 3141/5925 HP 1/9001 SP 69 Gel 1337% Light
Sonia: Vortbula Type 666/777 HP 60/9 SP 2345 Arrows 6789 Bullets
Panic! At the Slime: 6 LOVE
[Please, someone fix the interface. This is just sad.]
*Act -Nebula Door [Should be open now.] -Blatantly Fake Wall [There's really no doubt.] -Ana Door [What? Vincent threw me THROUGH A DOOR. I should probably let my points regen.]

Start calling Vincent Sonia as you wobble drunkenly toward the fake wall.
Investigations is the best cure for potential head trauma after all.

*You begin to drunkenly wobble over to the fake wall, saying "Come on, Sonia, we has to check tha wallz..." "I didn't throw you THAT hard, did I?!" "Don' blind meh with yaur--" *Wait the interface is fixed you can stop. *I know you wanted to mess with Vincent, but it's just not worth. *You traverse the Wall That Never Was and discover a really icy hallway filled with traces of Stardust. Your focus increases intensely as you notice yet another fake wall off to your left. However, a great concentration of Stardust has made its home at the end of this hall anyway. The amount of power there almost blurs your vision. "Ugh, Marko...I don't feel so hot here. Can't I wait outside?" *You turn to Vincent to make a witty remark, but you soon find out he's complaining for good reason. He glows green with Vortex power, but something in this room is causing it to pulsate and flicker. *It's good to have support, but something obviously isn't right here... Disco Inferno: 6*2 Atk *Fight *Act -Fake Wall (Stardust Room) -Fake Wall (???)-New -Stardust Concentrate-New

*You consider your seemingly few options. *Then you mold a part of Disco Inferno's body into a detective hat. It fits it like a glove. *You tell it to scout ahead while you wait with Vincent to make sure he doesn't die. *It hops directly into the Stardust Concentrate and starts...sliming around. There's no other word for it. *You decide it'll be alright.
"...it's not dead, is it?" *You say no, you would've felt it die. "...you realize you can go on without me, right?" *Nonsense. If we sneak up behind him again he'll invariably judo throw you again. "...this place does seem to twist and turn." *Vincent sticks his arm through the wall again and quickly yanks it back out. Still hurts, seemingly. *You decide you've had enough and poke your head through the wall and directly into Disco Inferno's face. You slowly pull it back into the room, slime and all. *Vincent snickers as you calmly pull your summon off of your face and ask what happened. Apparently the little guy found nothing wrong with the Stardust, and you can probably walk up and touch it just fine. "When being in the same room as it burns me?!" *It did say you, not him. Anyway, in the room adjacent, there's the same things--another fake wall, a long hall, and at the end another fake wall containing Vortex Concentrate. And yet another fake wall. The slime would go further if it didn't get picked up by a tiny bird that dropped it off into your face. "...well that's actually very helpful. But...a bird?" *That surprises you too, but no matter. You take off the detective hat and consider what to do from here.
[We haven't really moved. Vincent's still not feeling right. That Stardust Concentrate sure felt welcoming, though...]

I can figure Stardust>Vortex on the type matchup, so I have to wonder if the hallway is soaking into whomever the entrants. If that's the case then is there a limit? Could Marko stand in there long enough to drain the effects?
If that turns out to be the case there's gonna be a vortex room ahead regardless, so perhaps DI can be some slime armor and protect Vincent long enough to haul him through the hall as fast as possible.

Could Marko stand in there long enough to drain the effects? If that turns out to be the case there's gonna be a vortex room ahead regardless, so perhaps DI can be some slime armor and protect Vincent long enough to haul him through the hall as fast as possible. *Well you pretty much assume that the whole clusterbunch of Stardust comes from that one Concentrate, and the same probably goes for the Vortex hall too. So if you try and absorb the Stardust it'll probably go well enough for you. *Now as for Vincent, putting Stardust-summoned slime probably isn't going to help him any. Maybe if he had summoned Disco Inferno instead you'd have less of a problem, but you're fairly sure you're kinda the only one who knows how to use the Staff. Plus summoning another Slime would probably kill off DI in the process. *You have a better idea, though. You tell Vincent to count to three and then sprint forward as you walk forward into the wall. *When he sprints through, you grab him by the arms, swing him around, and launch him into where you believe the other fake wall is. Sure enough, you never see the poor guy again this update. Revenge is sweet. *Now, on to the--hey don't move yet. [We know what's going to happen. He asked if I could drain the effects, and so I will!] *You know these commands don't work like that! [They kinda do.] *...you walk SLOWLY towards the Stardust Concentrate. You SLOWLY begin to feel more focused, more powerful, MORE--where did the Stardust go? [Absorbed it.] *...y--I--ugh. *The power of Stardust surges within you, yadda yadda, you learn a Link, you save your--wait what *Drive-Link>Star ShuffleDispels all summons, including your opponent's and your own. Costs 10SP for each summon, with a maximum of 30SP. Can be interrupted.*The Power of the Stardust also grants you a Skill and 10 more SP: -Power of Many: Allows more Life and Mana Crystals to be used overall. *...okay...no more Stardust or Vincent. Should we go after him? *Fight *Act -Vortex Wall -Stardust Room -Remains of Stardust

Use your new spell to dispel Vincent. But it might kill DI too! Wait. But if it did, we'd just be able to summon it back, right? Either way I'm iffy if this will work. So yeah go check on Vincent.

*You kick a dynamic entry into Vincent's hall. "...um...is something wrong...?" *No. But you do prep Star Shuffle to... *It's not targeting Vincent. "...right, well...I'm going to the next room." *You sadly follow Vincent, the Vortex Concentrate here gone because of him. *This room seems to be the Vortex equivalent of the room you came from. The exit is locked, but you decide you don't need doors. *You rush up to Vincent, preparing to let him judo throw you again. *Everything goes right...until something appears out of nowhere and spikes you to the ground! *You get up, relatively unharmed. You shake your head and...oh no. "...dear gods. Is that...?" *A SKELETAL PEGASUS. *And it's not the only one...there's three here. Think you and Vincent can take them? 'Cause they're as good as gone! "Have fun, Marko!"Disco Inferno: 6 Atk. Pegasus A: 18/18 HP, 3/3 SP Pegasus B: 20/20 HP, 2/2 SP Pegasus C: 22/22 HP, 1/1 SP *Fight -Attack >Knife -Magic >Horizon Break (5 SP) *Sleights *Drives -Nova Limit (5 SP (Slime summoned)) -Links >Star Shuffle (10 SP) *Items I admit I moved rather fast, so here's a quick summary: -Went to Vincent's Vortex Hall -Tried and failed to use Star Shuffle on Vincent -We all know you were going to go into this room next anyway -We all know you might actually try to judo throw-break another door (Admit it, it was in your head.) -Turns out there was an ambush lol

"Ask Vincent if we can mount these skeletal pegasi. Try anyways." Done. *You ask Vincent if you can ride these pegasi. "...and how do you plan on getting on?" *You tell him to just watch and learn. *You hop on Vincent's head and leap towards a pegasus. You miss, but land on your own two feet and proceed to summon DI to your side, and throw it in the air. *Drives -Disco Inferno >Horizon Break =>Nova Limit *You fire a laser at it, sending the light scattering all over and blinding the pegasi. Sadly, you don't land a single hit, due to how scattered this light was, but that's exactly your intentions. *You take advantage of their blinded state and wall jump directly onto pegasus A. You wrangle with it for a bit, staying on for quite a while before it throws you off... *But that's just the beginning! You get thrown into a wall, but the determination to ride the thing allows you to push yourself right back onto it! (Critical!) *You wrangle it a bit longer before you fall again, but this isn't the end... *Suddenly, an arrow rushes past the pegasus you were just on. You look over at Vincent... "Dang it. I missed." *You ask him what he was thinking?! "What?! This is the enemy. We gotta win to pass!" *You tell Vincent to cease fire while you think of something else... * Koop admits he's too lazy to change Vincent's arrow count I MEAN Vincent picks up the arrow he missed with. Now what? Disco Inferno: 6 Atk. Pegasus A: 16/18 HP, 3/3 SP (Wrangling this thing hurt it a bit...) Pegasus B: 20/20 HP, 2/2 SP Pegasus C: 22/22 HP, 1/1 SP *Fight -Attack >Knife -Magic >Horizon Break (5 SP) *Sleights *Drives -Nova|Limit|(5|SP|(Slime summoned))-Links >Star Shuffle (10 SP) *Items

Utilize DI and arrows to create slime arrows. That should slow them down long enough to kick them in the faces.
