It's 2142, and the postrionic brains of Asimov's science fiction have just been created in the form of a blue goop like substance referred to as "blue goo" among the press and general public. This substance can be used as anything from a highly functional prosthetic limb to even replacing part (or all) of a brain. Politicians have imposed limits on how much of a person can be made of this goo, but those rules were very recently broken, and then changed. A young girl named Jenna Fox got into a car accident, and her parents, desperate to save their only child, took 10% of her brain and recreated the rest of her with blue goop. When the authorities found out, people started advocating for change, and eventually a law was passed that you had to have at least the same 10% of brain that Jenna Fox had in order to legally be able to have a prosthetic body of blue goop. Since these people were, in the eyes of the public, basically androids, many elected politicians began advocating for the Three Laws of Robotics to be but into place in their blue goop "programming". You are a person who has gotten into an accident, and now has a body made almost entirely made of blue goo. The government has recently proposed the "Asimov Law" which requires all people with less than 25% of an organic brain to have the Three Laws of Robotics programmed into them. You can either agree or disagree with the law, but either way, you keep on living. Some things to keep in mind: - People who have had part of their brain replaced have a hard time remembering their past life at first (for about a month or so without videos).
- The law passed in response to Jenna Fox's accident was passed roughly a year ago
- The "computer system" that minds are uploaded to is a nightmarish landscape, especially since there are no senses and no communication except with people uploaded to the same system as you.
- Most of society is uneasy around those who have more than just a few prosthetic limbs made of blue goo.

Character Name: Alicia Mary
Age: 24
Appearance: Wild black hair, wide blue eyes, pale skin. Has a long, stitched up scar across body, reaching from left shoulder to right knee.
Personality: quiet, not very social, does not like people, interactions with others tend to be awkward (as in, suddenly blurting things out that others may find uncomfortable)
History: Alicia Mary is considered to be insane. She was sent to a mental asylum at a very young age, and resided there for most of her life. Her family paid the money to have her taken care of, but could not bear visiting. Alicia was considered to be dangerous to herself, so she was kept in a catatonic state. If awakened, doctors feared she would injure herself somehow. Unfortunately, one day she did awaken and in a trancelike state, made her way to the roof of the hospital. From there, she, still in the same trance, fell several stories to the pavement below. Her family, desperate to revive their daughter, paid exhorbitant sums of money to give her the body of blue goo. After the surgery, it was almost as though she was a different person; though still socially awkward and definitely not normal, she was now able to live relatively safely, although heavily medicated.
Other: Although she technically should be a legal adult, because of her disability, she is still under the jurisdiction of her parents. This frustrates her.
