Speaking of Professor Layton I recently got Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy and Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice. Both of them are my first games in their respective series. I'm enjoying both of them, and will definitely pick up more in the two series once I've finished those.

Just finished Thomas Was Alone recently, and that game is absolutely amazing. Also finally got around to finishing AC4. At the moment, I'm playing Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix, Fire Emblem Awakening, and Kirby and the Amazing Mirror.
I also played the demo for The Talos Principle, and now I want that game so bad.

Sorry for double posting, but I don't really have a choice.
I'm playing Ace Attorney Investigations, Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga on the Wii U, and the Adventure of Pip. I also managed to finish Super Mario Galaxy, and Apollo Justice, of course. I also finished Shrek 2. It was a thing.

I finished Ace Attorney Investigations and got Ace Attorney Trilogy on the 3DS e-shop. I'm also close to finishing Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy.

I always start playing things for anywhere from a day to a few weeks and then just stop and never pick it up again. The only exception is Minecraft, but I still never really use any one world for more than a month. The result is that I've only finished a handful of games and gotten 80% and higher in many more.
Hang on, most of the games I've finished I played when I was a wee kid. Huh.

Lately I've been replaying the original Ace Attorney because I finally got Ace Attorney Trilogy on the eShop, which will be fun to play. It's interesting because I remember who all the killers are, but I don't remember anything else about the cases, so it's sorta like playing it for the first time (although I already know the end result).

I recently got Animal Crossing: New Leaf, but the more interesting thing I got was:
I found an original DS at my grandpa's house, (A cyan DS with a fat back) and it had brain age 2 and MarioKart Super Circuit, in the GBA slot.

I recently bought the ds port of chrono trigger, and I've spent the past two days by only playing it. It's like a jrpg but without the insane amount of grinding (at least for now, not sure if there are any difficulty spikes) and you should throw money at it

I don't know. Though you can accidentally destroy a prize bubble in one of the hub worlds forcing you to do a weird workaround to fix it. I'm not sure if that's one of the bugs you're referring to, but I haven't seen any others.
Also I got Earthbound Beginnings, Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows, and have beaten the Mega Man games up to six.

I found out that Ace Attorney Dual Destinies is available on iPhones and its rated 12+ on there. I now have the game, instead of having to wait a few years so I can get in on the eShop.
I also got Undertale.

I definetely recommend it. I haven't gotten very far, but my current experience (and the billions of five-star reviews on the Steam page) are enough to recommend buying it. $10 is probably a bargain for the game.

A friend of mine let me try Undertale, and from the little bit that I played, I can already tell that I'm going to pick it up. Lots of fun, in part due to the ludicrousness of some of the fights. I never knew what to expect when I was playing through, but not in a bad way.

I got Rayman Legends and am playing it with a few friends. I have myself dedicated to only playing it when I have those friends over, and the waiting is killing me.
I remember all of the praise that MarioKart 8 got for it's graphics, I think this is a contender.

i've just gotten ghost trick: phantom detective.
its fun, altho its pretty difficult
i also got Puzzle dragons Z + Puzzle dragons super mario bros edition.
its pretty good for a swapping game
