Well, It's taken a bit of time. Hours, in fact, but a suggestion was posed by Sazerac and I would like to feel I have lived up to it. I have spent the better part of my day now creating an almost exhaustive guide to my persona and what he carries on him, diving into the last year and a half of history I've had here since I arrived.
So without further ado, the profile of Dimitri Baronmore.
-Basics-Name: Dimitri Barronmore, occasional alias Aeric Dreon
Sex: Male
Age: 17
Species: Human
Title: Thaumaturge and Wizard, with a side of Enchanter, Artificer, Golemancer, and Alchemist.
Alignment: Halfway between Lawful Good and Neutral Good.
Homeland: Dimitri originally hails from a world on the borders of the Minecraftia multiverse, a place holding a dignified respect between the boundaries of block and realism, and a place that worked as a meeting ground between the "original" laws and discovered or "modded" sciences. No one who lives there is a player gifted with the ability to respawn after death, given the abilities to build and destroy instantly or hold objects in an inventory, and even the abilities to cross servers and worlds or enter into the Void Sleep are rare. But anyone born there experiences a connection with nature, independance, and magic, instinctively knowing the laws of the land and how to survive, build and thrive in that or any world.
-Descriptions-Appearance: Dimitri is in many ways your average-looking teenager, being more or less of average height and build. Naturally, this is about where normalcy ends. He has chestnut-brown hair and wears a relatively simple outfit, consisting of a blueish-white long-sleeve shirt under a delta rune sweater, a blue scarf, dark pants, and finally enchanted boots and a complex belt that makes itself home to a wand, multiple pouches, and several warded vials just in case. He also wears a single fingerless leather glove on his left hand, which is usually home to one focus or another, as well as keeping semi-hidden on him a golden and green jeweled amulet, and three rings, two gold with red gems and one of cobalt and a simpler design.
Picture: Personality: Dimitri is overall a mostly happy fellow, with an unfortunate tendency to occasionally have swings in the other direction. He holds a love of logic, which allows him to draw fun and new conclusions but also manifests itself in extreme indecision. Dimitri prefers to help people where he can, but thinly-veiled anxiety and a sad habit of just saying "It's not my problem." have been burned into him by various encounters and dilemmas. This anxiety also tends to manifest itself in a habit of underplaying his own abilities and accomplishments, which is often the only obstacle between him and being one of the strongest people in a room. He's saved lives and later chalked it up as being nothing of note. In addition, despite being quite well geared for combat he prefers to stay well away from it, a desire inspired by a number of unwilling fights with people he considers his friends. In fact, he would often prefer combat cease entirely rather than be used to solve problems, valuing lives above most else.
Bio: Dimitri was born and grew up in a smaller town of thaumaturges by the name of Caelfall, being inspired by a love of and respect for magic from a very young age. And he progressed through life there normally for nine years, until the day eventually came that it was time for him to begin learning magic himself. There was an incident at the town's cliche magical summer camp, Camp Greatwood, that helped to firmly cement a respect for rules and electricity through means of nearly killing him and his best friend. He ran away that day, discovering in the process his rare ability to hop servers entirely on accident. And so he continued to wander between worlds, never staying in one place for more than a couple months on average, and he kept learning magic on his way through means of study with the inter-world magic guilds and self-research in discovered and undiscovered knowledge. And then, eventually, he fell right into a nice set of worlds by the name of #Kun, and he's been stuck there since.
Voice: Dimitri has an average american accent for the most part, though he has a bad habit of picking up other accents and ways of speaking from whoever or whatever he's around. His favorite vocalization is sighing.
-Combat & Traveling-Strength: Dimitri's physical strength is a above the average, but he's by no means that much stronger than anyone else. But his magic helps make up for that. Between being able to enchant things to be featherlight or simply not take as much force to use effectively, most anything he needs to do can be done with the simple strength he's given himself though artifice.
Stamina: Dimitri's stamina is still nothing incredible, but his magic again makes up for it. The enchantments on the boots he wears along with a general need to exert himself through combat or running fairly often have helped give him the endurance he needs for most situations, especially if he's fighting for something he cares about.
Agility: Ironically, not a lot. Despite having a good endurance Dimitri doesn't often look for the need to use it, so the only place he truly puts his agility is in fighting. But hey, give him a sword or a bow and put him in combat against you and you can easily see what he uses it for; Dodging attacks and quickly reacting with his own.
Intelligence: Dimitri is overall a rather intelligent person. Working with magic has given Dimitri a good understanding of logic, how systems of magic (and to a far smaller extent, science) work, and an ability to occasionally draw conclusions quickly. This has also helped him develop the ability to learn fast, creating new works of magic or construction with the relative ease few but Minecraftians can have.
Charisma: All in all, Dimitri doesn't often have a large presence. Between simple social anxiety and preferring to stay away from positions of responsibility, the wizard doesn't often put himself in positions where he has to have one. But if given something to act for and the determination to carry through, he can place himself in roles ranging from caretaker to judge. And with the weaponry and defense he has at his disposal, Dimitri could hold an intimidating presence in a battlefield if he ever fought.
Perception: Dimitri is fairly perceptive, unless he's preoccupied. Not many things get past him when he's looking for or at them, and he can usually draw conclusions on what something is fairly quickly, but if he's involved in a task you may have to get his attention before he'll actually notice anything less persuasive than his own name. But if something is related to magic, his experience with many different fields of magic have enabled him to feel out certain types of spells without the use of arcane lenses, the most notable instance being his specialization with warding enabling him to feel out the bounds and strength of some wards without aid.
Abilities: For the most part, Dimitri's abilities tend to stem mainly from magical equipment he carries. While the wizard is well versed in enchantment, warding and artifice, the closest he can come to casting a spell is enchanting a similar effect on a surface. Which is sometimes a simpler task than it might seem, as evidenced by an incident in which he created a pillar of foxfire using nothing more than paper and a pencil by pushing accumulated magic into the lead and inscribing enchanting circuits with it, or a similar case in which he bought spell parchment and created a one-use flame control spell. Still, the potential for spellcasting is there, and it's known that while he doesn't have enough experience channeling his own magic to use it, he has a natural affinity for the element of Nature.
Aside from magical abilities, the only ability of true note is Dimitri's ability to hop between worlds just by travelling far enough in the right direction. This isn't at all something he's trained aside from his experience running away from places, but instinct can usually point him towards a place he already knows exists. If he were eventually able to train this natural gift, he could potentially be a skilled world traveler one day.
Equipment: Magic: Dimitri carries a wand with him at all times, along with a focus pouch stocked with most foci known to date and a modified philosopher's stone, even if he only tends to use a few of them. Alongside this, naturally, are a set of enchanted goggles and enchanted glasses. The brass-framed glasses feature the regular arcane lenses, along with enchantments to help see in the dark and at a distance, however the larger goggles also come with several extra lenses that can preform tasks ranging from seeing in the dark and underwater to tracking an being's magical signature or viewing the arcane compositions of items. The wizard also has a staff, mainly used in combat, which allows more power to be put behind a focus. Both the wand and the staff have been modified to be summonable and banishable from and to almost anywhere, and are only a tiny bit incredibly unstable.
Dimitri also has another ace in magic, the single glove he wears. It's in essence a miniature wand with slightly different foci, albeit one that can't store as much Vis or be used as precisely, but it allows him to cast spells with less preparation and in a more dynamic and less expected way. The current focuses he's made to work with it are Shock, a modified Telekinesis, Flame, and Grapple, though seeing him use any of these is likely to be rare.
Combat: Aside from the wands, Dimitri has a number of items that can be used in combat. The main focus of this is a custom-made riderblade he calls Nodecatcher, created over the span of about two days after he learned about the dreamlines from Koopario Kruise. It's modeled after your regular shortsword, though in the style of most Barrier Blades it's too dull to be properly used as a weapon. However, what makes Nodecatcher special is its ability to absorb and channel magic, either into ranged slicing attacks or along the edge of the blade.
The wizard also owns a bone bow, modified to be summonable and enchanted to create its own arrows. He also carries with him elemental arrows, modified with various effects from simply doing more damage, to piercing through conventional armor, to setting the target on fire. Seeing him use either the bow or these arrows is extremely rare, however, because it's hard to fire an arrow from a bow of bone without it being lethal.
The final method of attack available are two sets of throwing knives. The first is modeled after the Sword of the Zephyr, using aer enchantments to cut down air resistance in front of it and use the resulting energy to push it forwards further, often to speeds able to pierce through armor similar to an aer-tipped arrow. The second set was purchased during a trip to the Dreamrealms, and has the nice feature of creating new knives using the thrower's innate magic. In addition, these knives travel much further and straighter than is ordinary, and split off into multiple smaller knives as they fly through the air.
Defense: The first and most obvious means of defense Dimitri carries is his shield, a sheet of feather-light warded glass which can attach itself through the disk in the center either to specially made thaumium bands, the focus slot on his glove, or just at rest on any individual's back. The shield itself is nigh-unbreakable and blocks all known forms of magic, along with having an extra surprise in the form of kinetic knockback that causes physical attacks to bounce off with about 75% the force they hit with.
A second, and slightly less obvious means of protection is several layers of runic shields Dimitri's taken to keeping on him through the forms of two enchanted rings, an amulet, and enchantment on his belt. Altogether they total up to shields comprising an extra health of 45 under a 20-HP system, which quickly regenerates itself over time through the use of vis and prevents Dimitri from actually suffering injury . In addition, when this extra health would finally be breached the belt produces a kinetic shockwave capable of throwing anything nearby back several meters, with a cooldown of 20 seconds, and the amulet immediately adds an extra 10 points of "HP" to the shields, with a cooldown of about a minute.
And finally, the scarf that Dimitri wears is enchanted to protect him from harm as though he were wearing a full suit of chain armor, an effect that happens to reduce the damage done to his shields as well.
Miscellaneous: First and most notable miscellaneous item in Dimitri's arsenal is his boots, modified Boots of the Traveler that allow him to run and move quickly, jump further, and fall from higher. The second would be his bag of holding, a leather pouch with expanded inner dimensions. It's only slightly incredibly unstable, like much of his other equipment. And third is his "Everfull Flask", a very small source of infinite water he keeps looped around his belt. It can put out a great deal of water pressure when combined with a kinetic wand focus, and while it's too pure to drink safely it can be frozen into rather strong ice due to the lack of impurities. Finally, he has an automated storage system he's created, and he can access the contents easily through an arcane hand mirror he keeps on his person.
Oh, he also has a bottomless popcorn box.
-Other-Friends/Family/Lovers: Dimitri is the adopted brother to both the Seer of Randomness, Asphoxia, and Koopario C. Kruise, along with being one of only four members of an adventuring group they once formed around a campsite in the forest. He shares a friendly rivalry with Sazerac, and is currently party in relationships with a half-demon and a kitsune.
Rivals/Enemies/Nemesis: Again, Sazerac is often a friendly rival of Dimitri's. Beginning with an incident based around a dare posed not long after Dimitri first arrived in the soviet kunion, the two have shared a gruding friendship from Dimitri and a more simple friendly respect from Sazerac.
There was an organization once as well, by the name of the Cobalt Syndicate, but it's been quiet for the better part of a year.
Miscellaneous: When he first arrived in these sets of worlds, Dimitri had a backpack that functioned similarly to his bottomless bag and wore the simple but traditional garb of t-shirts. The reason he stopped using these is all but a mystery, even to him.
His blood used to be black. Then time was changed around.
He technically exists inside Sable-Xeno's CYOA, BitFPPR, as an extention of a plotline that occured on the forums once. However, he has as of yet done nothing of note.
Dimitri happens to have a slight, instinctive fear of dragons until he can call them friends. Whether this is partially fueled by his social anxiety or not is unknown.
