This is a thread about Super Mario Maker, the game where you make Marios!!!!!!!!1`~!11!!!1!11??!??!
This is where you can discuss the game and share the ID's for some of your amazing masterpieces AND comment on other people's amazing masterpieces!
I've only made one level and it's kind of dumb but I don't have the code. I might put it here later if anyone wants to experience something utterly strange.

For posterity and to get the ball rolling, here's my first stage. "Watch Your Step": 943A-0000-0181-58BB
It has a tricky jump or two but it's overall pretty simple and straightforward. What do you guys think of it?

I see you played Moles 2: They Have Helmets Now, Spindow.
And I see you found the secret sledge bro.

Yeah. the stage was pretty clutch overall. I gave both the routes a shot but found that going down for the super star run ends up going slower.

Alright J found my course's ID. Terror!!: D383-0000-012D-24D5. It's kinda bad.
Remember at the beginning when the game asks you to finish a fellow maker's course? Well I finished it alright.

I like the block jumble at the start.

Yeah that was more or less just me waving the stylus around to make music.
Also, I'm currently working on another level! I pretty much finished the whole thing, and I'll probably publish it later. I might tweak it a little too make it less difficult.
Spindow, I tried your level but I couldn't beat it. Whoops! *shrugs*

I saw that. It's not an easy jump I can tell you that much from trying to upload it knowing only that it works on separated test runs. Hopefully somebody manages to beat it.

Nice Level Planet. I did notice a rather interesting facet of the opening area that might be worth noting.
The Lakitus all run on random timers it seems. What lead me to realize this is because they activate randomly, sometime you can have a spiny tossed on you or nothing for a few moments, but if you run and jump toward the wall at the right moment, you can sometimes catch a fire flower and be able to tank past the swarm and ride a cloud straight up and over the level more or less. Keeby's toad adventure level did something similar with the pipe that spat out the mystery mushrooms.

Yep, you pretty much have to steal a cloud to beat the level. You can take the "normal" route but it's a lot more challenging, simply because the Lakitu's are difficult to kill and they're always following you.
People can also suggest levels to try by other people here if the want. I have a few but I don't have the IDs right now.

Here planet, try this and some of my other levels: 7039-0000-010F-2E55
I tried out The Lakitu Challenge, and it's either:
Extremely difficult if you play it normally; extremely easy if you take a cloud.
Try making your boundaries better so players can't fly over them, forcing them to do at least a bit more of the level.

Yeah I probably should have put a wall by the arrow. You were supposed to use a cloud for the other two pits though.
That mole level was really fun, but I couldn't figure out how to make that last jump to the flag... Whatever, I basically finished the whole thing.
I'd like to recommend the course "A Goomba Story" by a guy named Hype. A1D3-0000-00D6-CCD2. It's the first in a series of levels where the guy uses comments to tell a story. It usually involves solving puzzles where the Goomba's give hints. My personal favorites are 2 and 5, but one is a good place to start.
Another good series is "Thinking Time" by JPuff. The first one is here. "55E1-0000-0062-495D". They're a bunch of really challenging puzzle levels. Personally, I haven't been able to beat either of the two I played, but maybe you guys can figure them out.

Midair spins are rextremely helpful in nsmbu, which is why it's my favourite game style. So many people have died on that ending I don't know why

Maybe they don't know how to do mid-air spins.
Because I sure don't.

I made a new stage, way easier than the last one I'll assure you. Let me know what you think.

I can appreciate Scoli's infograph for its level of effort made to be both helpful and yet condescending unintentionally as well.
Personally it took me a while to figure out spinjumping as well, muscle memory had A entrenched for such a while until I had to tap every button just to climb a wall of thwomps.

Oh, it's like the spin jump in Super Mario World? Ok, never mind, I know how to do that.

Yeah. Only difference is in the NSMB mode the function changes in the air or off the ground. Can bounce off thwomps if you jump first for example.
