'Twas the night of Hallow's Eve, and all through the house Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. You see, the kids were out, seeking tricks or treats And to the monsters in hiding, they were nothing but meat. Four children in particular, carrying hoards of candy Had thought themselves set, satisfied, and dandy. And then the hour came, when they opened the sweets, And the vampire in waiting, the others did meet. He took one boy away, vanishing into the dark. The dangers of the night were now made stark. The three who remained attempted to flee, But the way they were running could not be seen. One girl tripped, lost to the night. Another child was captured and overcome with fright. The last saw a castle, gleaming in moonlight, But with all friends lost, would they take shelter, or take flight?
Swallowing your fear, you step onto the bridge. No one had seen you come from the ridge. The castle loomed before you, a shadow of a thing, And with a strike of the bell, a chilling sound rings. Midnight had come, with monsters to tame, But with what sort of costume, and what is your name?

Answer in rhymes is the thing we should do? If I suggest actions poorly, know this was brought on by you... A costume sans frills or gaudy sparklies, Dressing up as a ninja sounds like music to me. And with the name "Yalene", it's ironic, all right. 'Cause the meaning of that name, put simply, is "light"!

Just one? That's all? That's quite a bit short, But the commands of one are all we need for support.
A ninja of the night, a name meaning light, Yalene, you call yourself? What an interesting sight. Now, you've worked up the courage to tell us your name, But don't think for a moment that ends our little game. Your friends are still taken, their lives may soon end, But perhaps you're not one to run at the call of a friend. The castle looms before you, the moon glowing cold, In the shadow of this building, a landmark of old, Will you run while it's permitted, or walk in while it's bold?

walk in while bold, even though cold, with katanas and lasers and giant moles kill all the enemies, that is your goal, just be sure to not toil too mucho.

Forget being forward, I'm staying in rhyme. But kill all out enemies? We haven't the time! Do some sneakidy-sneaking, try evading combat. It's the primary way of the ninja, at that.

Two conflicting ways of entering come into view, But you're not sure which one is best suited to you. You decide "Why not both?" and open the gates, being brave, But as for what's inside, you only hope they'll behave.
A long hall, nearly blacker than night. The moon's glow behind you, barely granting you sight. You leave the door open and try to slip through, But soon a lit torch prevents this, too. You hide behind...something, what is is not clear, And soon you hear footsteps drawing gradually near. "An open door? Must be more of those brutes. "When it comes to their intellect, any compliments are moot." A female voice...rather friendly it seems. But in the distance you hear it, some young child's screams. "Oh, for devil's sake," the woman says with a sigh, "Can't they leave children alone? They don't deserve to die." The door slams shut, all moonlight is gone. The woman can't help but suppress a yawn. "I wish I were able to stop them, this doesn't seem right. "Did the pact HAVE to collect on Halloween Night?" She walks away again, leaving you in the dark. Unless you follow her, your fate seems stark... You were lucky enough to not be spotted, But for her help will you ask, or be alone as you have walked?

In such a situation, we need all the help we can get It would be most beneficial to follow them, I bet.

Sadly, there is no food to be had, Well, except for your candy, but losing focus is bad. That woman is your key, from which you must seek aid, And so, breaking stealth, a quiet noise is made. "What the?! Oh? A child? Did you manage to flee? "That's all well and good, but why come to me...?" You tell the woman you came in without thought, Except the kidnapping of your friends; do something about that, you ought. "Those are your friends in there? Listen, kid, I'd run. "All those games and TV shows? They make this seem fun. "But these monsters are real, and if you make one mistake, "They will be certain it is your life they'll take. "...that being said, I'm powerless on my own... "...hm. Do you really want to help? Children's courage has grown. "We can't speak right now, they'll surely hear. "Follow me child, I'll take you to sanctuary, with no monsters near..." With...no other options, you follow your help. Until suddenly something underfoot makes you yelp. A mousetrap, left untriggered...wait...a mousetrap? Why? "Oh, devils have me. Of all places for mice to run awry..." And then a clawing sound on stone, drawing rapidly close, Could such an end to your story be so morose? And then suddenly, you're empowered. Can you take the enemy, without doubt? "I was hoping to get to this later, but looks like we can't live without...!"
Yalene (Ninja)(Bewitched): Bravery 99%, Energy 100% (Despite the mousetrap's moral lacking, you get into position to begin attacking...) Woman: Bravery Unknown, Energy 75% (She looks rather drained...can her livelihood sustain?)
???: 75% Woman Focus, 25% Yalene Focus, Energy 100%, Terror 20% (Drawing closer every moment, not a second to spare, the monster draws near, Yalene, so please, beware!)

You don't know why we're rhyming? Well, I couldn't tell... But it's fun to both read and type out, so it's well. Do we have any swords? Kunai? Shuriken? If so, I suggest we make as much use of them.

You're a child with courage, a child with heart. I hope in this fight that you will do your part. Draw what weapons you have, be they foam or of wood, And cut right through the enemy, as all ninja should.

Weapons, you say? But they're all simply fake! W-well, considering monsters leave only death in their wake... Yes, I suppose we could try with that blade, In your own mind, for centuries it has laid. Dormant it was, waiting for times right, To take up a new wielder, and continue its fight. ...though in reality, it's plastic; sure it gleams well, But not a single being of evil has it ever once fell. Ah, well. If you were to die, may as well be said That instead of taking it head-on, you died fighting instead. Drawing your trusty blade, you take a swing at the dark, Telling the monster coming close to make its presence stark. Lunging at you, something wild, yet they don't seem right-minded, Though look at you swinging your blade, your logic must be blinde-- ...wh-what?! It actually cut?! That's...not something I thought would happen. "With my magic in hand, child, our futures I brighten! "So long as you have bravery, your blade can be used, "So fight on, please! Fight however you choose." That's easier said than done--you've never seen such blood, And like that, your spell falters, and it's no better than mud. Rather bad timing, as the creature shows its face, A werewolf you see, running around in this place. But then...you made a cut, that counts for something, doesn't it? That's a pretty long-made slice, not some puny knife's slit. Regaining earlier courage, you stand ready once again. Now that you know the rules, you can make the game end.
Yalene (Ninja)(Bewitched): Bravery 80%, Energy 99% (Your bravery regained, your courage alight, you stand tall in danger's face, ready to finish the fight.) -Ancient Katana (-1% Energy)(A blade to cut through night. Invaluable in a fight.)
Woman: Bravery Probably High, Energy 80% (You know now her spell. Now to use the knowledge well.) +Bravery Cantrip (-25% Energy)(A spell with which to empower the bold, with powers their character would usually hold.)
Werewolf: Yalene Focus 100%, Energy 75%, Terror 19% (You're not as afraid as you were before, perhaps this monster's wounds have strengthened you more?)

Bravery's well placed, as it would seem. You drew a fake blade but in moonlight it gleamed. A spell now powers your ability to fight; But as a ninja, you're a being of the night. So take heart young one, there's no need for alarm. Take up your blade, as a ninja at arms. Use your bravery, as well as your stealth; And show this monster you can lower its health.

Bravery's well placed, as it would seem. You drew a fake blade but in moonlight it gleamed. You're fairly sure it was made of plastic before, You showed it to your friends, but they thought it a bore. As a ninja of bravery, you're a star in the night, So you show your courage...by running away from the fight. Both witnesses are confused, the werewolf more of note, It can easily smell you in the shadows as you dote. A shame, a shame, no attack from behind, And as such you're left open to strikes of any kind. The wolf takes advantage, and bites at you with fangs, You do take some damage, but Yalene, you're a boomerang. You come right back on it, another wolf-intended slash, But this time your own efforts are impeded by a gash. Your swing hits true, but your energy begins to fall, Is this going to be the place where Death comes to call? Yalene (Ninja)(Bewitched): Bravery 61%, Energy 88% (Your bravery is faltering, and terror is the cause, remove the source of fear and do not dare pause.) -Ancient Katana (-1% Energy) -Vanish (<10% Bravery)(Fade into shadows to evade enemy sight. Attack a potential weakness or flee from a fight.) Woman (Possibly Not Even Worth Listing Stats for at This Rate, I Do This to Save Time, Not to Express Hate) Werewolf: Yalene Focus 100%, Energy 65%, Terror 17% (The ferocity of the enemy was evident before, but in order to take it down you'll need to do more.)

To defeat this enemy, you must overcome your fear. So try to collect yourself before he draws near. And summoning all of the courage you know strike once more for a decisive blow.

Deciding that dying just isn't your style, You collect your courage, if only for a short while. The wolf wildly jumps at you once again, But your expectant sword has made its end. Terror drops to none, your bravery radiant as the sun. As you plan your final move, the wolf decides to run. Let him, you think. You were only fighting in protection, But now you and the woman must continue to your destination. Managing to avoid traps for mice, The way to this "sanctuary" a door seems to entice. "Here it is, the door to our safety. "Hidden from others, later you can thank me." The woman steps inside, and inside you follow. The sights you soon see remove your friend-bound sorrow. A dynamo of energy in the center of the lab, Multiple spellbooks separated with tabs. A workshop at the far end, used to make...things. A couple of puppets held together with mere strings. No doubt in you mind, all of it's magic of some sort, And now you have seen it for being the witch's consort. "My base of operations, my dear child of courage. "For many years it's stood and not nearly out of mileage. "I used to have another, newer you see, "But then someone else took it away from me. " Vampires, the lot of them, creatures drawing from night. "I didn't think they would do all this, so I let them stay without a fight. "Yes, this used to be my home, away from normal souls, "But the pain that leaks from it feels worse than hot coals. "Those vampires had to be stopped, I knew that as fact. "But with my rather weak spells, I had no way to attack." She looks up to the ceiling, as if there were stars. "But now that you're here...ready we are. "That workshop is for enchanting, and making some clothes. "Those spellbooks are full of cantrips--hey, don't touch those. "This dynamo of magic is our way back to the fight, "And those puppets over there can mimic any creature of night. "I wouldn't touch those either, I've had some...mixed results, to be frank. "If you'd simply ask when you need them, it'll be you that I'll thank. "As for this dynamo, tell it what you need to see. "Like a crystal ball, an image will come forth. "Where it shows you is where you must be. "And you'll still need my help to get there, of course." And so, with the sanctuary explained by the mage, Where will you go, your next action's stage? Bravery and Energy fully recharged. Capacity of Bravery has been enlarged.Yalene: Ninja Costume, +0E +5B(+100E +100B -10%Aggro) Witch: Spellslinger, +0E +???B(+10%Aggro)

(I probably should sleep too but ONWARDS)
Deciding to cut directly to the source, You look into the dynamo to glimpse your course.
A room, blacker than night. A child, filled somewhat with fright. A vampire, telling wolves to keep this room secure, And afflict them with something they know not how to cure. The precise location of this, you're unsure.
The sanctuary door. Camera pans backwards, turns left, backs more. Looking at a painting in front of this place. Taking ten step backwards, turning forwards in that space.
...admit it. You followed those directions to the letter. Wasting a post on a useless puzzle? Yeah right. This is better.
You and the witch now stand in a hall. Only light is coming from windows laying on the right wall. "So the vampires figured out the magic locks I placed? "I should probably redo them, after their menace is erased." Why did she put magic locks on her own home? "You never know when you have to leave the places you own." The hall goes both ways, the old surroundings vanished. You brought along your candy so you wouldn't get famished. So which way will it be? The way you came or the way you'd proceed? They're both unfamiliar to you, and the witch says both ways would probably succeed...
Yalene (Ninja): 105% Bravery, 100% Energy Witch (Spellslinger): Some measure of Bravery, 100% Energy
