Party Conditions
Time: 2:50
Weather: Sunny
The run doesn't take any time at all to travel through, and thankfully it seems that robber frogs are not partial to the daytime, a useful if illucrative morsel of knowledge for future treks. Within no time at all the five soon find themselves braving
the same riverbank that had previously struck down the group, putting everyone on edge.
"You wouldn't think that a tranquil spot would be so dangerous, but the guild has seen some of the most dangerous monsters we've ever encountered relatively close to here." Faye speaks up, pointing north to the stream. "There's a dam to the north where that Manic Beaver started lodging that decimated that other delving party. I really have to wonder what caused it to appear so close to the bank like that..."
Beavers are definitely one issue but more immediately speaking the hornets seem to be much more of an issue she didn't seem to even acknowledge. When pressed for an answer Faye simply held her hand up to her ear and asked why it was so silent?
"Yellow Jackets don't stick around after their nests are disturbed for some reason. In most likelyhood they've migrated in search of a new hive spot, so don't fuss over them."
Feeling a sense of relief. The group explores to the south to find a delightfully fragrant nook awaiting them. The ground, in spite of the warm sunbeaten ground, retains a thick earthy muck to it as if it had just been rained upon for days. Most pleasingly is the great abundance of fruiting plants that have taken root in this. Surely this is the location of the Gobberries!
The group begins wading through the muck to fill their hands with all the berries they can hold. With everyone's effort they found enough to not only fufill the sentries humble request, but hold on to a bag for personal use as well.
The delvers wipe the sweat off their brows in high spirits when they notice that a trickle of water has begun flowing into the already water engorged silt from the road to the north. It seems that the river may be starting to overflow... but for what reason? In any case the groups previous errand has been fufilled and only needs to be delivered to the sentry at the forest entrance to recieve a much deserved reward.
