I'll take the White Sonata, just because. Hope the others won't get lost and then see if you can report back into HQ. If not tell everyone to meet me at the Liner because we need those Gobberries.

Party Conditions The group decides the fastest way to cover the bases is to split up and take care of what needs to be done before heading back into the forest together. Naden and Lincoln head over to see the Lady and sell off the spoils they did manage to return with. Iris however stops them at first to request a pair of the frog legs; Since she'll be looking into the eatery it would only make sense to bring something that remotely resembles food on the off chance the chef will work with it. Considering that it is a valuable good it's a painful thing to ask for, but ultimately not a particularly heavy loss long term with the Robber Frogs being so close to the Forest Lifeliner. Iris agrees to meet back up soon and heads off to Chez Caliber. Negerine for his part simply walks off cooly to the Liner ready for attempt two of the Gobberry Hunt. Mini Update:
Iris shows up and asks what's going on. As it turns out Lincoln and Naden are still working out whether to buy something. Trading in some of their goods may end up being their best option as it turns out, unfortunate as it may be.
The Trade in works fairly straight forward, For every point one's current equipment is evaluated at, Lady will lower the tab up to 1/4 the original price for the same type of gear. In this regard if somebody opted to sell the clothes off their back for the fur coat, it'd drop the price to 90G. Still too rich for the crew's blood however, Lady suggests asking around for jobs around town, or at least getting Naden a hat if they're looking to simply spend some money.

Iris doesn't really understand what's going on right now, so decides not to contribute to the decision making.

Mini Update:
Lincoln grabs a sturdy pair of mitts for 40G, leaving a paltry 30 pieces left in the groups funds. Looking to amend this new deficit, The three move about town to see what possible work they can find. After a bit of footwork the group converges at the Lifeliner to discuss their findings. Suprisingly on arrival however, they discover Negerine has been barred a fair distance from the tree by some rather serious looking guards. Apparently the quartet are not to be allowed without the permission of the Guild on recommendation of Selene. In most likelihood this will be merely an annoying formality, so it might as well be gotten over as soon as possible.

We should totally go attack that thief. After all, who doesn't want to help the Hapless Healer.

That thief guy sounds scary, obviously we should go after him. Who knows, maybe he has some knives that Iris could pick up.

Party Conditions The group decides that the two tasks to undertake from the list will be hunting out some rats, both metaphorically speaking and quite literally. From what the previous trek had revealed it could be assumed rather confidently that the road from the entrance to the first Lifeliner would be the search radius for the squirrels' den, with that pathway hooking away from the trail likely being the site of the Hapless Healer's mishap. Trying to reach the Gobberries would take everyone in the opposite direction however, so preparation for inevitably retracing their steps will need to be considered as well. The HQ had been constructed from a previously stationed outpost, a far cry from the mighty barracks that now fly the flag of the great kingdom of Brociland proudly. It is here of course that all operations of the Delver forces now carry out their duty. Stepping through the gateway, the group finds themselves before a large toy diorama of what could only be the Hidden Forest. The level of detail used in the modelling leaves the party awe-struck, but the spell is altogether shattered by the jarring pair of eyes that drop down from above the wooden woods. "Oh! I know you guys!" the spidery creature exclaims in a youthfully feminine cry of suprise as she slides across the map. "Incident 147.B, Unaffiliated Delver party found in area 4-2.. South of riverbank Riiiight Here!" She says as she drops a flag in the approximate location. "I'm the Guildmaster. Gwen." Flipping back the multiple lens of her magnifier specs, the Guildmaster unhooks herself from the highwire in order to properly address everyone As soon as the diminutive lass touched ground however her bubbly expression immediately grew intense and stern. "I figure you must be ready to get this over with so I'll make this quick. In general we like to avoid having to deal with dead delvers as much as possible, which is rather often especially when it comes to fresh recruits. The very fact of you guys being here today was due to the search party being sent to recover a different group further on ahead, but let's look forward for now." Pulling out a stack of papers, Gwen lays out her intentions clearly. "Recently the top ranking guilds have been discussing how best to handle incidents like this, especially given that in most cases you guys are an exception among unsuccessful free agents. The current plan for now is avoiding incidents like this again by getting as many Delvers into companies as as we can. From there more experienced Delvers will work to aid in your training alongside you in the Forest. Once you've singled out a company guild I'll see to it that you'll be free to come and go again as before." The Guildmaster hands out four potential groups to choose from. Once chosen, it'll be unlikely that the group will get the option to reconsider anytime soon. Delver Companies Delver Party

I'm a bit torn on these guilds... but I have to go with Merlin's Hands. Merlin's Hands seems the most well-rounded. Maybe a little too well-rounded. I'm all for exploring, though.
Thousandfold seems really strong, but to me it looks like they're too focused on the end result than what comes before. Highlander will likely surround us with crazy people, and doesn't seem to be focused on the big picture at ALL. Nighthood seems nice, but I get an odd hunch that its "lost cause" missions might make us bite off more than we can chew.

Party Conditions After much deliberation and careful consideration, The guild of the studious Delvers "Merlin's Hands" was deemed the best fit for all involved. As the registration was notarized, the Guildmaster detailed the general information of the new company the group will be working with. "The Hands are easily the most inquisitive Company of our major groups, which lends themselves to Discovery and Exploration as a top priority. New discoveries such as previously unencountered materials are greatly valued, so New materials and Completed Zones on your map when delivered to the Guild will net you EXP bonuses. If you manage to prove yourself especially talented in this regard you'll all surely become rather famous, which will come with its own rewards and responsibilities." Given the clear, Gwen let's the Four know they'll be free to enter the Forest again as soon as they add one more Delver to the party, or rather... As soon as a Delver adds them to theirs. New recruits are usually evaluated by a more experienced Delver or Delvers for an intermittent period first. Of Merlin's Hands Veterans, Three had stepped forward to take up the team of rookies. We don't really have much crowd control or weakness revealing ability, so the Counselor will serve us very well here. Faye can come with us. Also I love how Jeb is just Jeb. No last name, just Jeb.

Party Conditions The group rushed out to meet their new ally, a Counselor by the name of Faye and quickly made their acquaintanceship before setting off for the forest immediately. She would have to forgive their urgency as pleasantry was already well out of stock spending most of the day being taunted and belittled. Everyone was driven to prove themselves in the eyes of the guild and there is still a man desperately waiting to get some gosh darn Gobberries! "It was already a little past 2 in the afternoon as the Delvers stepped out of the Lifeliner to the all too familiar creek leading up the hillside or towards the forest trail. The fruit should still be around the riverbank where that perilous encounter with those hornets took place, so cautiously returning to the east would be the first priority. Heading to the west will bring you to the more lucrative ventures however, though it is pretty clear the party will need to head back to the entrance eventually anyhow. The team will be able to revisit any location they have previously visited with relative ease and speed, though it will need to be walked to through whichever areas are along the way. If there's ever any need to consult with a guest party member, you only need ask. Delver Party
