Sadly, there exist no spaces in this hellish selection. *You say you are also Steve the Guide. "Nice try. I'm the only guide here in Corroville." >Marko (Last name?) Oh. That makes sense. >Rencar (Middle, if applicable?) Damn. These guys were thorough. >Don
*Your name...is this the one you choose? >Yes *You say your name is Marko Don Rencar. "Marko Don Rencar...a mouthful." Not really. "Right, well. Let's start walking. We can work out the details on the way to my place." *That would be preferable. *You start making your way west. You ask what this place is. "This? This is Corroville. We built this city near the Corruption, which is what we thrived off of, and now we're an independent city." *You ask what the Corruption is. "The Corruption is one of the sources of evil in this world. The enemies you face there...well, they're no King Slime, but they'll still kill you if you go in unprepared. The Corruption we built the city near has since moved, but some traces of it linger." *You wonder if the Corruption has anything to do with that dream you had. Remembering the map, you ask if that's what the road leading from the North was for. "Yes, actually. The Corrupt land used to be a big part of our lives. Now that it's gone, no one goes that way anymore." *You turn south. You decide to ask about the slime rain. "That? That's just one of our Boss Events. It happens rather rarely. This one started when a woman appeared a while back in the forest--instead of going after the more powerful adventurers, it went straight for her. Odd, isn't it?" *You decide that it is odd. You wonder aloud if she's dead. "Actually...according to the Wizard, she was still alive in there. She can still be saved, even though the King Slime escaped. There's something else, though..." *Steve turns to you. He looks very serious. "When he described that girl, he said she had an abnormal amount of SP--Soul POWER. Not only that, but he also sensed that same abnormality in you, Marko. Most people only have 20 SP, and increase it through hardships. You and her have more. Any idea why?" *You gulp. Do you tell him about your dream? About your Staff? The stardust? "...you don't know, do you?" He turns away. "I know you're more than just a boy who took a nap during a slime rain. But I won't press if you don't know." *You finally arrive. "Here it is. My house. You're still welcome to stay, Marko, so make yourself at home. But remember--it's probably best if you look for another place soon, because you'll need privacy."
*A day has passed. *Now what do you do? Venture out into the unknown? Explore the city?

Take a look around town. There's a good chance we'll be here for a while so it's best to get familiarized.

...sh-shoot, Xano, don't spoil it for us.
*You decide to take a look around Corroville. According to this map, you've just left the southwestern house--the Guide must be pretty important. *If you made your way to the east, you'd probably hit the Stardust Plaza. Since that's the closest landmark, you decide to go there first.
*After not too long of a time and a bit of being lost, you arrive at the Stardust Plaza. There's some...rather eccentric people there. *Their outfits look very weird, no doubt. But they don't seem very crazy. There's a ton of other creatures here, too. Hornets, imps, spiders, ravens...you can't tell them all apart. A few slimes are there too. But they're rather small...and friendly. *Everyone seems to be carrying an array of staves not too unlike your Slime Staff. That gives you an idea... *You can probably ask about a few things, here, too. But not right now. First, the city awaits.
*Next stop, the next house. You knock on the door. *... *... *... *But nobody came.
*Next up...nope. Gates are closed because of the slime rain residue.
*Hopefully next...! *Okay! Nebula Plaza! *This place is pulsing with SP. You can barely keep sight of your own SP with the amount present here. *You decide now is as good a time as any to ask around about what SP actually is. You walk up to a person wearing a red set of armor and ask. "You don't know what SP is? Hm...you're aspiring to be a Summoner, right? Hard class, man. If you want to know about that, head to the Stardust Plaza. But we Mages use SP even more than Summoners, so we're experts on this. "Okay, so, you know how HP stands for HIT Points, right? And every time you take a physical hit, that number goes down?" *Yes, firsthand, actually. "So SP is just like that, but more versatile. Soul POWER is what keeps you from dying to magic attacks. Every time you get hit by magic or use it yourself, you're depleting your SP. If your HP drops to 0, don't worry--as long as you have some SP, you can use it to restore some. If you're fine with being unconscious, though, don't lose all your SP--otherwise, you WILL game over." *Good to know.
*Next up, the Vortex Plaza. *...or rather, Vortex Tower. There's a really futuristic-looking tower in the center of this plaza, and it seems to be the source of the shield around the city. *There also seems to be a sort of airborne railroad stretching out from one side of it, which seems to be leaving the city. *It's either bound for the Corruption or another city. *You think you'll stay here.
*Finally, you arrive at the Solar Plaza. *...which is what I would say if you could find it. There's a wide, open space here, and a trapdoor in the middle... *Maybe you'll open it. Maybe you won't. *I can't say.
*With your tour of the city done for now, it's time you did something else. Do you go out and explore? Do you go inside one of the buildings? *The choice is yours.

Try to pry open the trap door with your... whatever you have that can pry stuff. Sword? Bad idea, it's probably the city sewers filled with the slimy residue of the storms, probably even a super boss or something. Let's go meet the friendly insects and critters and see if they can help us find something to do. If we don't want to live in some backalley trashcan we'll need to earn some cheddar to afford an alternative.

Break into that house from earlier and steal all the stuff.
Why is this reminding me so much of Terraria?

Try to pry open the trap door with your... whatever you have that can pry stuff. Sword? Bad idea, it's probably the city sewers filled with the slimy residue of the storms, probably even a super boss or something. *Under a main plaza? No, this has to be intentional. *You backtrack to the trapdoor after walking for a bit. You try to pry open the door before it slams directly into your face from being opened, costing you a single point of HP. *Well, it feels like 30 HP, but in reality, despite your nose bleeding a bit, it's 1. *Trust me. "Oh, shoot, man, I'm sorry about that! Here, take this...!" *The door opener breaks a bottle of red liquid over your head. Your HP maxes out before you get cut by the broken glass and lose 5 HP. "Oh fuck! Here, another one!" *And it happens again. "Shit, why do you keep losing--" *You indignantly take the bottle and drink it's contents before any other bottles are broken. "...rude. Anyway, you here for the arena? Sorry, but we're kinda strained on good fighters, and, well..." *You (un)calmly point out why you lost that HP to begin with. "No, dude, not the five points you keep losing, I mean your maximum. You have 60 HP maximum, dude." *You ask if that's-- "Most people have 100 to start." *...that pillar TOOK something from you too?! The other Crusaders better have some defective stat too or else you'll ragequit. "Y'know what? People increase their HP with Life Crystals found underground. You'll need a pickaxe to harvest them, so since I hurt you, you can have this spare." *You got the Copper Pickaxe. "Now go beef up and come back when you can at least solo King Slime. The fights are no joke." *Funny he mentions that--you figure it's about time you went out into the world for real this time. *Back at the warp, you see a strange man looking right at you. You hesitantly walk towards him (because he's in the way of the warp), but someone passes between you, and the man is gone. *You'll have to remember that. *Something bumps into you. You turn to see who, but you see no one. *You realize your money is gone. Replacing it, however, is something else... *You got the Copper Axe. *Finally, you're back in the field. You walk around, looking for a fight, and instead find trees. *Lots and lots of trees. *...so what do you do now? There's not much around. I mean, there's that Green Slime over there. But there's a few things on you that you haven't checked yet... Marko - Stardust Type HP: 60/60 (Oddly enough, those shards of glass don't even hurt anymore.) SP: 50/50 >Axe >Staff ->Slime

There must definitely be some other enemy to test your skills against... so knock on wood.
Was that funny? I mean--hit a tree and see if a fightable thing drops down or comes out or... etc.

Welp, time to kill a slime and cut down a tree.

We need to construct lumber pants to boost our armor. Go chop down some nature and hope they aren't the kinds of trees to explode if you strike them too hard.
As for the slime in the area, try slicing it in two and seeing if it becomes multiple distinct enemies. If we can cheese our experience out of one enemy switching between chops and smacks, maybe we can gain a couple levels really easy.

Can I just thank the censor on this forum for making that last update inadvertently better "hit a tree and see if a fightable thing drops down or comes out or... etc." So use Headbutt? *Act>Tree>Headbutt *You headbutt the tree. *Nothing happens, but dang those shards of glass HURT. *You decide to take them out before you lose more HP. *Wait, something fell on you. *You got an Acorn.
"We need to construct lumber pants to boost our armor. Go chop down some nature and hope they aren't the kinds of trees to explode if you strike them too hard." Is that actually a thing? I'd love to see that happen. *Fight>Tree>Axe *The tree takes 10 damage. *Two more chops and you have some wood, and more acorns. *You got 15 Wood and 4 Acorns.
"As for the slime in the area, try slicing it in two and seeing if it becomes multiple distinct enemies. If we can cheese our experience out of one enemy switching between chops and smacks, maybe we can gain a couple levels really easy." *Those slimes are their own entities. That, and they're a bit small to be splitting apart. *Now that you think about it though, that King Slime you keep hearing about would probably pull something like that... *You should remember that. *Now what were we doing again? Oh yeah. *You got 1 Gel and 3 Copper Coins.
*Now as for crafting that pair of pants...as you stand, you can't do it right now. You'll need some sort of surface to work on. A table, maybe. *Then again, didn't the Guide say you could build some things using some of these...? *Yeah, you think he did. *How many did you need? 10 of these...?

Cut down more trees to get more wood. That's kind of important.
Also, the King Slime is technically optional so I don't know why everyone's worrying about him.

Uh guys? Why don't we start with a table at least? We should have enough lumber to start at least there if it only asks for 10 of our collected 15 logs. We might even save on some of resource cost if we take the lumber that'd be used for the legs to make our leggings . We could be in Birch Britches in no time; Nobody is saying we need to make an ENTIRE table right?

Actually, unless we magically chopped the entire tree out of the earth, there should still be a stump left. If we use that as a base for our board, we can have a table sans legs. Or actually, if it's smooth enough and large we could just use the stump as our table. After all, no wood can be wasted for the creation of our pine pantaloons.

Yeah I mean you only really need 10 to make the table *You decisively and triumphantly laugh at the slime you killed before chopping another tree, netting you 10 more wood, which is great because now you were going to create the table. *(10 Wood consumed.) *You got the...Crafting Bench? *You think you did something wrong. *...but it is a flat surface. *You chop a few more trees and are finally able to craft Wooden Grea--shoot. *You need some practice. Wooden Greaves (0 Def. Useless in literally every aspect besides completing the Wood Set.) *You equip them anyway. *Now you can either stay and try your hand at... *...shoot. How are you going to take the Crafting Bench with you? *You used up all of the wood in this general vicinity so you can't put wheels on unless you want to sacrifice your last wood pieces. *What to do... What a predicament.
I guess we'll have to live out here now. If we keep collecting gel and whatever miscellaneous substances we can find nearby surely we can assemble a roof to hold down the fort long enough for more trees to appear. If we plant those acorns it'll only be a scant few decades to a century to continue our mission to unlock the legendary hidden potential of the wooden armor set.

Maybe we can just sort of...reach over...and...put it in our pocket? I think we both know there's an extra step involved there. You can't just put a 4'x2'(?) table in your pocket anyway.

You remember this spot for later since you can't take your crafting bench with you and walk around. *Aside from the occasional Slime, the place has quite a few more trees and oddities you can now make use of. And you think you can start to see the makings of a newer scene... *But at the same time, you've passed over a lot of random chasms. You feel like you could get some other valuable materials in there, if you weren't so poorly armed. *You decide to name this forest. What will you name it? What will you do afterwards? *Fight >Tree >Green Slime x3 >Blue Slime x2 *Act >Bunny >Adventurer >Altar *Item

One you are done, try to craft a pickaxe.
