The year is 1878. The Last Great War had left the environment of Earth ravaged and destroyed. Decades of constant fighting and harsh tactics on both side had destroyed most civilization on the ground.
However, the constant fighting left a new world, and the war's technological advancements led to a new era. A new era of airships.
Today, great, mighty ships of metal, cloth, and gas take to the sky. Trade, messaging, and war are all now carried out by flying junkers. Great clans of airships and the remnants of empire of old take to the air, as the Age of the Airship becomes the new world.
You are a group of friends who've gathered up enough money to buy an airship, and get away from your small, dusty village. The Airship Leviathan is the manifestation of your hopes and dreams. Now, you must choose a nation to vow your alliance to, or be a mercenary, under the control of nobody.

Nations of the World:
The Ruselian Republic (Orange): A remnant of the pre-Great War nations, the Ruselian Republic was the only neutral power in the Great War. It's the most technologically advanced of all the nations, but is extremely peaceful in it's diplomacy. Do not enter if you have intentions to fight anyone. Either nobody will fight you, or you WILL be shot from the sky.
Antene Islands (Purple): A rural nation, the Antene Islands has mostly been self-autonomous by default. Each island is mostly separate from each other, and usually fight for control of every island. It's often suggested you do NOT travel through here, if not intending to cause a fight.
Anglova Confederation (Blue): The Anglova Confederation was a recent union of three major air clans, creating the most powerful nation on the continent. It has an immense and powerful air force, but is noticeably behind in the technological race, and tensions still exist between the three clans. It is usually peaceful to travel through.
United Republics of Nionia (Light Blue): Also a powerful nation, the URN is the alliance of many small nations that combined after the Great War. While lacking in airship power, the United Republics have the greatest population, and also has the greatest number of major cities on the ground. It also has the most remaining ground forces, although they are deteriorating, and the United Republics are trading scrap from the ruined metal husks for food and supplies.
The Kingdom of Elewith (Dark Green): Also a remnant of the Great War era, the Kingdom of Elewith did not take up the airship like the rest of the nations. It is currently fighting a civil war with the socialist breakaway state of the Democratic Republic of Elewith. Elewith is ruled by Sir King Berrigan II. The nation is technologically backwards, although rumor has it that the King's palace contains massive amounts of precious jewels and metals.
Democratic Republic of Elewith (Light Green): A socialist breakaway state of the Kingdom of Elewith, the DRE is currently fighting a civil war against the Kingdom. It is being supplied by the Anglova Confederation and the Ruselian Republic. It has some of the latest in airship technology, but many say that it's government is unstable, and it's leader has been labeled as a dictator.
Union of Kaniel (Red): A union of an airship clan and a pre-war nation, the Union of Kaniel is an oddity of history. Many people believe that the nation will not last long, but it currently has the most equal division of ground and air forces. It faces massive insurrections within it's borders, and many people do not like it's weak leader.
Federated States of Caderelia (Brown): The Federated States of Caderelia was a new union of states created after the Great War. It was previously mountains and grassland, but the Great War forced many people to relocate to the nation. It has some of the most experienced fighters and engineers, due to many of it's citizens being Great War veterans. The nation is famous for having some of the last remaining airplanes, and some rumor that the nation is developing more advanced airplanes.

- We are in a steampunk past, with airships. Act like it. (aka no nuclear power. Serious. )
- There is very little ground society. There are some major populated areas, but they are few and very far apart.
- You must replenish ammo, coal, and metal. There is no real central currency, so you must trade.
- Points for acting like your character. (the points don't matter, of course)
- It might be best to diversify your jobs. No ship's going to fly without an engineer and 5 pilots.
