Whenever I get one, I just design it immediately instead of waiting and ACTUALLY PLANNING SOMETHING.
So instead of doing anything cool, I usually end up wasting it.

I had this huge bucket of Perler beads as a kid. My little brother and I made an army of little bead people.
That definitely sounds possible, although I'd go for something a little stronger than foam. Maybe wire or cardboard?

I was thinking fabric with wire supporting it. You can achieve the desired effect by gluing two fabric pieces together and putting the support wire in between. Pipecleaners could be substituted for the wire if necessary.
Unless you don't want it to be 2D...

Sadly Mom won't let me wear sclera contacts, but I should be able to do the fake blood from the eyes. Then other than that there's just minor modifications from a Link cosplay, right?

Hmm... depends on how necessary movement will be. If you'll need to walk around a lot, I'd say no.
I should post some of my other stuff, like the designs for characters in The Language of Flowers.

Then probably no on the base.
It's a Virgo Interview thing that will not happen until this summer. But it will be cool, although it makes things even more complicated. But I will say this; it involves Saint Seiya: Next Dimension, which is basically a retelling of The Lost Canvas.
