{{I think my policy for just sorta pulling items out of nowhere is that you can only do that with random, weak, and kinda useless stuff. Items of this kind will probably be lost or destroyed after using them once. Obviously, trying to summon armor or weapons that would actually enter Andre’s inventory is not allowed, because then actually finding them would be useless. This policy might change later though I dunno.}}
Andre, coming up with an incredibly witty one liner, reaches into his pocket and shouts, “Here’s my evidence!” With a single motion, he pulls out a blank piece of paper. This sheet soars into the air in front of Andre, shortly followed by about twenty more sheets of parchment all being carried from Andre’s pocket by some unseen force.
The papers soar right in front of the Silver Van, blocking the vision of the four people inside. Andre uses this brief distraction to leap out of the way of the approaching vehicle. Once out of the van’s way, Andre kicks the top-right wheel with a surprising amount of force, launching the car’s front wheels completely off the ground. No one is hurt when the wheels land in their new location, no longer parallel to the road, but Sandra, in her rush to wipe the sheets of paper off the windshield, winds up accelerating into a broken wooden pole sticking out of the ground, which Andre recognizes as the remains of a telephone pole. The collision deals 10 damage to the silver van, as well as some extra damage to Sandra’s pride.
However, the group in the van aren’t going to let an automobile accident get in the way of their goal. While Sandra tries to get the car to start up again, Amelia peeks out the window for a moment before ducking back out of sight. Frank gives Andre an annoyed look from inside, and then turns around and says something you can’t hear to Carl. The latter gives something to Frank, who turns back around and lowers the window on his side. Finally, he raises both his hands, revealing two pistols. He shouts, “THINK FAST!” and points them both directly at Andre. It only takes a moment’s deliberation for Andre to recognize that Frank is about to unload the ammo in his general direction.
What will Andre do now?

Time seems to slow as Frank fire bullet after bullet from the pistols. With this extra time, Andre looks around, evaluating his options. His eyes focus on the makeshift armband wrapped around his... well, arm. Remembering the other purple scraps he has stuffed in his pockets, he concocts a plan to make use of them. He quickly rips off the armband, and retrieves the scraps from his pocket. He holds them in his hands, and then pulls them apart, causing them to unfurl into a large purple and gold cape, as if performing some sort of magic act. The people in the van can only barely see him performing these actions, as he is moving too fast for their eyes to track easily.
Finally, Andre notices time return to normal speed, but he is already prepared to put his plan into action. Holding the cape to his right, he waits until the perfect moment to act. A second before the first two bullets reach him, Andre shouts, “OLE!” and dodges the bullets, swinging the cape behind him. Bizarrely, the bullets themselves follow the motion of the cape, and when Andre swings it in front of him the bullets are sent back towards the van. Sandra shouts, “Get down!” and everyone quickly ducks under the windows. However, there was no need to do so, as Andre made sure the bullets were sent back closer to the ground. They instead find their mark on the bottom of the back car door, marring the car’s shiny white surface with six bullet holes. This deals 5 damage to the car, for some reason.
Frank sits back up, shouts, “Hey! That was a new paint job!” and aims his guns out the window again. But before he can get a chance to pull the trigger, Andre twists his cape into a rat tail, and flings it straight at him like a whip. The attack pulls both of the firearms from his hands, and sends them both flying away from the car. They land on the dusty ground to the left of the road.
Frank curses, and then shouts, “Amelia! Pass me your pistol!”
The girl, still crouched down in the front seat, frantically replies, “I- I’m sorry, but I can’t... It’s not even loaded!”
Carl mumbles, “Why am I not surprised?”
Amelia continues, “B- Besides, this car can’t sustain much more damage! If it keeps taking hits like this, it won’t be able to drive again!”
“She’s right,” Sandra grimly replies, “This isn’t worth it. Let’s get out of here.”
Frank shouts, “What?! We can’t just leave! We can’t just let this psychopath get away!”
Sandra snaps, “If we stay here any longer we’ll die. He can’t kill more people than we would save.”
Frank replies, “But-”
Sandra interjects, “This isn’t up for debate. Let’s go.”
Andre can only barely hear Carl mumble, “Roasted,” before the van’s engine finally restarts. With an unexpected amount of speed, the van does a backwards U-turn before speeding off down the road, most likely still on a course for Hope City.
When the dust kicked up by the van’s tires finally cleared away, Andre finally got a chance to have a good look at this surroundings. The asphalt road right in front of him was broken and ridden with potholes, and the telephone lines flanking it were in similar states of disrepair. The surrounding area was a vast plain of sand, with only a little vegetation in sight. The road branched off to the right a little farther up the road, right next to where the two guns are lying. Not noticing much else of not, Andre walks over to the discarded weapons.
Thinking he could use a way to defend himself, Andre picks one of them up. The pistol, though covered in dust, is still operational. Unfortunately, it only contains three bullets. Andre takes the bullets out of the other gun and loads them into his, but that only doubles his ammo. Still, the weapon will do in a pinch. While storing the gun in his jacket, Andre noticed that his purple and gold cape has reverted to the scraps and bandanna they used to be. Andre returns the scraps to his jacket pocket. Finally, Andre notices a fallen sign lying by the branch in the road. He picks it up and lines up the arrows at the top of the sign with the road to the best of his ability. As he expected, the road ahead leads to Hope City, but it seems to be a long distance away. Much closer by is the town the branched road apparently leads to. The arrow is faded and dirty, but Andre can make out the name, “Thomasville”.
What will Andre do now?

So is everyone that lives in Thomasville named Harry?I have absolutely no idea what you could possibly be talking about.Andre briefly considers taking the signpost to use as a melee weapon, but quickly decides against it. The sign is far too large and unwieldly to use effectively, and it's far too heavy for him to carry it much farther from his current location. Besides, other people might need the sign to help them navigate on the road. So, he instead attempts to plant the sign in the ground where it used to be, so more people can see it. With this business taken care of, Andre decides to travel to Thomasville. He hopes to meet more people there, and perhaps find out more about the world around him and his lost memories. With the bandanna hidden away in his pocket, Andre is confident that he won’t be confused for some kind of cultist again, so getting answers should be a lot easier. His decision reaffirmed, Andre walks along the side of the road, on a course for Thomasville. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The journey to Thomasville is rather uneventful. Andre doesn’t run into any wildlife, nor does he run into bands of clan-hunting mercenaries. There isn’t even any scenery to look at on his journey, as the sandy expanses on either side of the road rarely feature any vegetation other than the occasional dead tree. The only thing reassuring Andre that he is even getting anywhere is the wooden signs planted at various intersections, on which the distance to the town is slowly decreasing. By the time he reaches the sign marking a distance of one mile from the town, Andre can see the town in the distance. The buildings seem to form a large square, with some more houses on the inside. Almost all of the buildings Andre can see appear to be in some state of disrepair, but judging by the lights coming from the windows, they appear to still be in use. As Andre approaches, he notices a large sign perpendicular to the road, a few feet away from the town’s entrance. He stops in front of it to examine it. Carved into the sign in large letters is “Thomasville”, the name of the town. Just below this are the words “Oldest Surviving Town”, along with a population number. But before Andre can take a closer look, he is interrupted by the noise of a gunshot from the direction of the town entrance. Andre quickly crouches behind the sign, but peeks around the right side of the sign, hoping to get a look at what’s going on. The first thing he notices is an old man kneeling on the ground at the town entrance and clutching his right arm, wincing in pain. A large rifle is lying on the ground in front of him. From farther in the town, Andre hears two children shout, “Grandpa!" Andre looks in the direction of the voices, and sees the children in question, being held back by an adult woman. The old man looks behind him and shouts, “You two get inside and stay in your rooms. Don’t worry about me. I’ll be fine! I’ve suffered worse wounds than this! ...Mary, make sure that they’re safe.” The woman, trying to hold back tears, replies, “N-No! Dad, I can’t just leave you!” The old man shouts back, “You don’t even have a weapon! Please, just keep my grandkids safe, and make sure our emergency protocols gets carried out... Please...” Without another word, the woman escorts the children into one of the nearby houses, barely holding back her tears. “Aw, how distressing... The founding family, torn apart at last.” Andre looks in the direction of this new voice, and gasps at the speaker’s clothing. The figure is wearing a long, purple and gold robe, with a matching bandanna covering his mouth. The robe features a gold emblem of what appears to be a human head, with some kind of swirling starburst pattern going into it. The same starburst pattern is on the bandanna, but with an image of an eye instead. Obviously, his outfit is an intact version of the purple scraps you have in your pocket. The robes cover most of the man wearing them, but you can see most of his face. The only notable detail is his long, slick, black hair, which looks like it hasn’t been cared for recently, and his sunken eyes. The man is holding a gun, also decorated purple and gold, and moving quickly towards the old man. Surprisingly, he seems to be levitating slightly off the ground, and sand is swirling around his feet. All in all, it makes for a frightening image. Despite his obvious pain, the old man replies, “Isn’t that the same thing you told me last time we met?” The robed man stops, still levitating slightly above where the old man is kneeling. He points his gun at his head, and replies, “Sure, but this time, you already have a bullet in your arm." “So, is that it, then?” the old man responds, “You’re just going to appear out of nowhere and kill me without a fight? Are you proud of your tactical brilliance, Simon? Don’t you have better things to do than practicing your long distance shots on senior citizens?” “You humiliated me, old man,” the spooky man explains, “And I don’t like being humiliated. I’d say I dislike the idea more than I care for your ridiculous concept of chivalry. So, I’ve come for my revenge. And maybe I’ll destroy your entire town too, if I feel like it. Who knows what the day will bring, y’know?” He looks down and notices the old man slowly reaching for the gun lying on the ground, using his left hand. Simon spreads his arms out, and continues, “Sure, old man, do it. Shoot me point blank with a one-handed shot from that rifle, and finally save your poor grandkids from their Boogeyman. You can do it! I believe in you!” The old man picks up the gun and points it at Simon, who subsequently points his own weapon at the old man’s head. After a few seconds of silence, the old man mumbles, “Can we end this farce already?” Simon replies, “Whatever you say, old man.” What will Andre do now? Andre Montellado (20/20) Bullets: 6

Andre, a little distressed by the scenario, is not able to make a move in time. However, he is surprised to see the old man fire first. But he is even more surprised when Simon dodges the bullet. At a speed almost beyond Andre’s perception, jumps into the air, does an epic forward flip, and lands behind the old man. He points his purple and gold gun behind him with one hand, straight at the other fellow. With an unexpectedly harsh tone, he exclaims, “Goodbye, old man.”
A shot rings out, but not from Simon’s gun. The latter instead collapses sideways, his hand pressed against a wound on the side of his chest. Andre finds himself holding the pistol, arm pointed towards the man. He barely even recalls firing the weapon, apparently having shot it through instinct alone. As if he had used that kind of gun many times before...
The old man, with quite a bit of effort, stands up, and looks around for the person who found the bullet. Eventually spotting you, crouched by the sign, he begins to slowly make his way over to where you stand. Unfortunately, he quickly collapses, still bleeding from his wounds. Andre steps out from behind the sign and quickly makes his way over to him. But before he can get very far, he is interrupted by a shout of rage from the direction of the town’s entrance.
Andre looks in that direction and sees Simon get back to his feet, only to immediately glare straight at him. Simon, still at least somewhat injured, starts making lurching, threatening steps towards Andre. Simon shouts, “You shouldn't have interfered, pal! Because now I’m angry! And when I’m angry, I like to do some pretty messed up things to as many people as possible. And I think I’ll start with you!” The man pulls out a razor and continues to approach.
Andre unexpectedly feels a hand on his left shoulder. He turns to see the old man, smiling at him despite the obvious pain, who quickly explains, “Hey, do you think you can take this fellow on your own? Old men like me just need some time to rest occasionally... especially when they have a bullet in their arm.”
Andre replies, “Uh... Sure... Maybe...”
The old man smiles, and shouts, “That’s great! Oh, and thanks for saving my life back there. Try not to get killed, so I can pay you back later.”
The old man takes two more steps towards the sign, before stopping and continuing, “Oh, one more thing... Now that you’ve made Simon angry, he’ll be a lot more reckless. He won’t be able to predict your moves at easily.” He gives you a rather hard pat on the back, says, “Go get ‘em, kid!” and then walks with purpose in the opposite direction.
You turn back to Simon, who has now seemingly procured a frightening array of sharp weapons, such as even more razors and knives. He has them all arranged between his fingers, like a pair of claws. This, combined with the greasy strands of dark hair covering his rage-filled eyes, and the dark blood slowly soaking through his purple robes, makes for quite a frightening image. Simon lurches closer, mumbling, “So... It’s just you and me now, huh?”
Andre takes a few steps backward, and softly replies, “Uh... Well... I guess so...”
Simon shouts, “Well now, you don’t seem quite so confident anymore. How depressing. Is this not what you expected? Did you think you could try to shoot me dead and get away with it?!”
Andre doesn’t say anything. He merely raises his gun to try to defend himself, his hands visibly shaking.
“Not gonna say anything, huh? That’s fine. Actions speak louder than words,” he stops moving, then continues, “So, why don’t you make the first move. Besides, I don't want this fight to end TOO quickly.”

Andre, hoping to buy some time or perhaps get in a sneak attack, points his gun straight past Simon and shouts, “LOOK, A DISTRACTION!”
Simon, filled with rage, doesn’t really pay attention to your exact words. He quickly looks behind him instead, afraid that even more random people might be coming to ruin his plans. While he’s distracted, Andre focuses on the air directly among Simon. Concentrating as hard as he can, he imagines a safe in that exact position, and one miraculously appears! The safe lands on Simon’s head, knocking him to the ground, and then falling sideways on his legs once he’s collapsed. Simon takes 6 damage from this attack.
Simon from his unfortunate position on the ground, shouts, “So, that’s how you wanna do this, huh? Fine!” With a wave of his hand, he sends the safe floating into the air. He quickly stands back up, and then points his fist straight at Andre. The safe is sent flying directly at Andre, who barely avoids it by diving to the side, landing face first on the ground. Before he can even get back up, Simon is there, kicking Andre while he’s down. Andre takes 4 damage, but manages to use his gun to block an attempted claw strike. Simon continues pushing his claws against Simon’s weapon, hoping to overpower him. It takes all of Andre’s strength to hold him back.
Hoping to distract Simon and throw him off, Andre slowly asks, “So... How do you... do all that... cool magic stuff?”
Simon shouts, “Shut up! You’re not distracting me again!”
Suddenly, the old man shouts from by the sign, “Oh, don’t worry about it! Simon and his entire goofy cult can do stuff like that. It’s how they can all be so successful despite lacking the brain capacity of a squirrel.”
Simon glares straight at him, raises his claws at him, and shouts, “Stay out of this, old man! Otherwise, I might try to surgically remove the bullet from your arm!”
Seizing his chance, Andre uses all his strength to throw Simon off him and to the right. By the time he hits the ground with a large thump, Andre has already stood back up. He aims his gun, and fired another bullets at Simon’s arm. Unfortunately, Simon hears the gunshot, and shoves his hand towards Andre without looking. The bullet starts fleeing backwards at the same speed, right towards Andre! He easily leaps out of the way of the bullet, but it still leaves a new bullet hole in the wooden sign. The old man, leaning behind the sign, shouts, “Hey, you kids be careful over there!”
Without another word, Simon stands back up. With a flick of his wrist, he sends all four of the knives in his hand flying straight at Andre!

Summon a wrench that you tightly clench, then block all the knives that assail you forthhence. Now put up a barricade using a bench while digging yourself a defensive trench. Call Simon a wench while talking in French (this should leave his ego damaged and unquenched), then summon a wave from a lake full of tench to hopefully make our foe soggy and drenched. At this rate he'll smell his defeat and its stench!

Andre pulls out a wrench from who knows where, and waves it around in a desperate panic. He somehow succeeds in knocking the knives uselessly to the ground. While Simon is distracted by trying to recover the knives using some kind of telepathic power, Andre uses his hands to dig out a trench for him to hide in. The trench is little more than a small hole in the ground, but Andre is able to crouch in it to avoid sight.
Once Simon has recovered his knives, he looks around the clearing, but fails to see Andre. Simon slams his foot onto the ground, and shouts, “Where the heck did you go?! You can’t hide from me!”
Andre, hiding from Simon, tries to come up with a way to attack Simon. He recalls seeing a lake in the distance, on the other side of Thomasville from where he arrived. So, he focuses on this lake, and then stands up and makes a hand motion, hopefully sending some water from the lake towards Simon. He apparently succeeds, as a wave leaps out of the lake and chases Simon from behind.
However, he is currently focused on Andre. He points his gun at Andre and shouts, “There you are! I’m sick of this. You're dead!” Unfortunately for Simon, he is unable to shoot the gun as a torrent of water slams into him from behind. The wave makes a sharp turn to the left, and slams Simon into one of the buildings on the border, dealing 10 damage. After that, he merely lies against the building attempting to regain his bearings, a few tench flopping about uselessly around him.

Use the power of association together with your wrench to pull a toolbox out of nowhere, and then smack Simon in the face with it. When he tries to retaliate, you can simply show him the fact that the toolbox is full of hammers and he won't be able to touch this.

Just as Simon begins to get up, Andre runs towards him, brandishing his wrench menacingly. He quickly reaches Simon and smacks him over the head with the wrench for 6 damage before Simon can try to block it. Andre also briefly considers kicking Simon while he’s down, but has second thoughts. If he did that, what would make him any better than Simon?
While Andre is distracted with this minor moral dilemma, Andre retaliates by kicking Andre in the chest. The kick has considerable force packed into it, and Andre gets sent pretty far backwards and lands painfully on the dusty ground. He takes 5 damage from the attack.
Simon quickly gets back to his feat and charges towards Andre. The only response he makes is an enraged shout, as he leaps towards where Andre lies, his knives raised to make impact with Andre’s chest. For the second time that day, time seems to slow down for Andre as his assailant flies through the air. Andre knows that he’ll need some kind of weapon to prevent his untimely demise. So, he grabs something from the ground next to him, and swings it at Simon with as much force as he can muster.
A second later, the tench slams into Simon’s face, somehow with enough force to send him flying through the air. He finally makes impact with the ground on the other side of the expanse in front of Thomasville, just in front of the sign on the other side of the road from where Andre arrived. Judging by the sound of impact, Simon breaks a few bones from the impact. But this time, he doesn’t get up. He merely lies next to the sign, slowly bleeding from the gunshot wound he sustained at the beginning of the fight.
Andre finds himself walking over to where Simon lay, though he’s not exactly certain why. When he arrives, Simon sees Andre standing over his body. His voice barely a whisper, he mumbles, “You... you’re not like those... losers in town, are ya? ...Heh... I bet you think you did some good here, huh? ...Think you’re some kinda... hero? ...Perhaps one day... you’ll change... your mind...” Then, Simon closes his eyes, and let’s out one last breath.
Andre backs away from Simon’s corpse, too distracted by the scene before him to consider his last words. Besides, Simon seemed pretty unstable, so Andre just brushed off his words as insane rambling, or an attempt to get under his skin. Eventually, he turns away from Simon’s body, and looks instead towards the small town. Not a single person has emerged from the building yet. He turns away from that too, and looks back towards the sign he saw when he first approached the town. The old man is still sitting against this sign, silent but still breathing.

Andre slowly limps over to where the injured old man leans against the sign. Hearing the approaching footsteps, the old man opens his eyes. He stretches out his left hand, clearly requesting help standing up, and Andre quickly obliges. Once the old man has Andre supporting him, he exclaims, “...I can tell from the look in your eyes that you have a lot of questions... and I’ll answer them in due time... But remember, I just got shot in the arm... so I really need to visit the hospital...”
Andre starts slowly walking towards the entrance of the town, and replies, “Well... Could you at least tell me your name?”
“Sure,” the old man answers, “The name's Anthony. Pleased to meet you.”
Andre replies, “My name is Andre Montellado. It’s nice to meet you too...” Andre holds out his left hand for a handshake, but Anthony only raises his eyebrow. Realizing his mistake, Andre silently lowers his hand and keeps walking.
Before he can reach the gate, Anthony interrupts him, shouting, “Before you go inside... take me over to that poor soul’s body.”
Andre is naturally reluctant to approach the corpse again, but at Anthony's urging, he slowly makes his way over to it. Once he arrives, Andre helps Anthony crouch on the ground, and the latter starts checking the deceased assailant's pockets. Andre just tries to look away from the corpse, and ignore the fact that he happens to be standing in dried blood.
Eventually, Anthony puts something in his pocket and reaches his left hand into the air, prompting Andre to help him up again. The two then continue into the entrance of Thomasville, without another word.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Most people would have assumed Thomasville was a ghost town, considering the ruined state of several of the buildings. Indeed, perhaps only half of the buildings were completely intact. Most has what seemed to be fire damage covering the walls, and several had large holes blown in the sides. The streets were deserted, except for the occasional toy or bicycle lying by the side of the road, abandoned. Andre probably would have assumed everyone was gone, if not for the occasional flash of curtains as the townsfolk risked a peek outside.
After a little bit of walking, Andre and Anthony finally arrived at the town square. It seemed that most of the commercial buildings were present here. Andre was able to easily recognize a shop and a restaurant by the painted signs outside the buildings.
Suddenly, Andre nodded to far-right corner of the square, and explained, “There’s the hospital...”
Andre wouldn’t have recognized the building on his own, but after Anthony’s prompting he noticed that two boards had been painted read and nailed to the front of the door, forming the universal symbol of health, through not in a very confidence-inducing manner.
Andre approached the front door of the hospital and tried the doorknob, but found it to be locked. He was about to ask Anthony about this issue, when he heard the old man mumble, “Oh... Hmm... I suppose I didn’t consider this issue...”
Anthony suddenly lifts his right foot and shifts all of his weight onto Andre. Then, he explains, “I’m about to do something stupid. Please try not to drop me.” Before even giving Andre a moment to react, Anthony suddenly starts forcefully kicking the door.
Andre, struggling to support Anthony’s weight, shouts, “What the heck are you doing?!”
However, his question is soon answered when the front door of the hospital swings open. An very old woman stands on the other side of the doorway, with about a dozen or so people behind her in the lobby. The woman mumbles, “My hearing isn’t THAT bad, Anthony. You can perform the secret knock at a normal volume.”
“Sorry, Florence,” Anthony replies, holding up his injured arm, “But my arm isn’t really in the best shape right now.”
A flash of concern appears on Florence’s face, and looks at Andre and snaps, “You! What’s your name!”
Andre slowly replies, “Uh... Andre Montellado, sir! I mean, ma’am!”
Florence continues, “Nevermind that! Just help me get this man to the bed upstairs!”
Andre nods his head, and immediately continued through the crowd or worried people and to the stairs at the far wall.

After about two or three hours, word that the intruder was defeated began to circle around Thomasville, and the residents began to get back to their normal lives. Andre didn’t really notice any of that though, as he chose to remain in the hospital waiting room, since he had no idea what he’d do even if he had ventured into the rest of the town.
After about three hours of sitting in the waiting room, the old woman from earlier emerged at the top of the stairs. She looked at Andre, and exclaimed, “I managed to remove the bullet from Anthony’s arm, and it looks like he is in a fairly stable condition... and he’s been asking to discuss ‘important things’ with you. You should probably come up to his room before he decides to get up and walk down here.” She walks back through the door and holds it open.
Andre quickly follows her, and soon enters the top floor of the hospital. The top floor consists of a hallway with three doors leading into hospital rooms, but a few more hospital beds have been set up along the walls of the hallway as well. Florence opens the door in the middle, and Andre follows her inside.
The room on the other side clearly used to be a bedroom, but now there are perhaps seven Hospital beds stuffed into a room that could only realistically fit one. Andre considers that these conditions may not be safe for possible patients, but assumed that Florence knows what he's doing. He quickly spots Anthony lying in a hospital bed by the door, his arm in a sling. Upon seeing Andre enter the room, the old man shouts, “Ah, there you are! If you couldn’t tell, I don’t really have anywhere else to be... so now would certainly be a perfect time for me to answer your questions!”
What will Andre do now?
