Can't see much need to provide any evidence above the usual just yet. Examine the front desk while we're here, I guess. SOLEMNLY present the police badge. Talk about the day of the incident and Cammy Tose. Then presents Cammy's Injury. Let's see what he have to say about this. Talk to him about himself and note that his name rhymes with that of his wife. Also SOLEMNLY ask him about his favourite colour. Before actually speaking to the witness, Vesti takes a quick glance over at the front desk. It looks like an average front desk, like the one in most of the hospitals that Vesti’s visited. The base of the desk is wood, with a top made of some kind of marble. The desk has two tiers, so the receptionist can keep stuff on the desk without the patients getting their grubby hands all over them. A bored-looking woman sits beside the desk, shuffling through papers. Vesti, recognizing her from the last time he was here, says, “Hey, Lauren, do you think we should ask the receptionist about the murder?” Lauren quickly glances at the desk, and says, “No, I’d rather not talk to her... I remember her being rather rude when we were last here.” Present: Sammy Tose: Police Badge“Now, before we get into the painful questions about what happened...” Vesti says, “I’d like to show you my badge!” Vesti quickly pulls out his police badge and then holds it out in front of Sammy, who stares at the badge for a few seconds and lets out a pained sigh. He mumbles, “That badge... it’s the same color as the necklace she wore... on our wedding day...” He clenches his fist and looks to the ground, and single tear sliding down his face. Lauren mumbles, “Vesti, we need to be careful with him. He’s probably really upset. Stop bringing up bad memories.” Vesti loudly whispers, “How the heck was I supposed to know that would happen?!” He sighs and puts the badge away. Talk: Sammy Tose: Day of the IncidentOnce Sammy seems to have calmed down, Vesti asks, “So, we know you were here at the hospital at the time of the, uh... incident. What were you doing from noon to 12:50 today?” Sammy lowers his glasses and glares at Vesti, saying, “...What are you implying?” Lauren quickly explains, “I assure you, any questions either of us ask are merely to get more information. If we wished to accuse you, we’d do so openly.” Looking away, Sammy responds, “Fine, I get it... I came to visit my wife at noon, during my lunch break... like I do every day. I talked to her for a bit, and when I was done, I left. I didn’t need to be back at my job until 1:30, so I waited in the lobby until it was time to leave... Then I got stuck here, after... well, you know...” Vesti says, “So, you were just in the lobby the whole time? Did you see anything suspicious?” Sammy replies, “No, not that I recall. Everything seemed fairly normal.” “That figures,” Vesti says, “It doesn’t seem like anything related to the crime happened in the lobby...” Noticing that Lauren appears to be deep in thought about something, Vesti asks, “Is something wrong, Lauren?” Lauren glances at Sammy, and mumbles, “...Don’t worry about it. Let’s continue with the interview for now.” Present: Cammy’s Injury: Sammy Tose“So, uh... What can you tell us about the event that led to Cammy’s injury?” “You two know about that, huh?” Sammy replies, “Well... obviously it’s not an easy story to tell... and I don’t know much more than what the detective told me...” “And what exactly did the detective tell you?” Vesti asks. “He told me the same lies they printed in the newspaper that day,” Sammy shouts, suddenly clenching his fists in anger. “It was all a bunch of complete nonsense about Cammy triggering a blackout and then jumping out a window!” Vesti recoils in surprise at the outburst, as Lauren says, “Still, they had evidence to back their claims... Do you have any evidence suggesting that she didn’t attempt suicide?” “I don’t need evidence!” Sammy replies, “I was her husband! I knew her better than anyone! She wouldn’t have done that! We would’ve worked through it together!” Vesti slowly mumbles, “Uhh... I don’t think that argument would really hold up in a court...” Sammy sighs, shakes his head, and says, “You want evidence? Fine... I have some evidence.” He reaches into a pocket on his suit and pulls out his wallet. Opening it up and reaching inside, he pulls out a small photo and turns it around for Vesti and Lauren. The photo depicts Cammy and Sammy, happily standing together in front of a window. The room looks vaguely familiar to Vesti, and once he notices some of the furniture in the background he recognizes it. The desk in the far-left corner of the room and the flowerbox outside the window appear just as they do in the photo of Aura and Argenta Gold that Vesti saw earlier, which was taken in Argenta’s office. Sammy continues, “If this photo doesn’t show how close the two of us were, then nothing else will... She definitely would have talked to me before attempting something so... drastic...” After a few second of silence, Lauren says, “You must have loved her a lot...” “Of course I did,” Sammy replies. He sighs as another tear forms in his eye. “The last few hours have been really hard... She stopped talking to me a long time ago... but I’m really gonna miss talking to her...” {{Tose Photo added to Evidence}} Talk: Sammy Tose: Favorite ColorHoping to lighten the mood, Vesti asks, “So, Sammy? What’s your favorite color?!” Sammy mumbles, “Dark blue...” “Oh, I didn’t expect that answer,” Vesti replies, “Why?” Sammy lets out a long sigh and says, “That... That was the color of her eyes...” Lauren glares at Vesti, who mumbles, “I, uh... probably should have seen that one coming...” Suddenly, Sammy reaches into his pocket and pulls out an old-looking cell phone. He looks at the screen, frowns, and tries to put it back when Vesti asks, “What’s wrong? Are people sending you texts about what happened?” “I wish...” Sammy answers, “I thought I felt my phone vibrate, but I must have been imagining things... My phone isn’t getting any texts anyway. I forgot, I spilled some stuff on it today, and the screen froze.” He turns it around to show Vesti. Indeed, the screen is frozen, the time reading 12:04 PM. Sammy continues, “It’s quite a shame... I feel like I need to talk to my family at a time like this, but I guess I’ll have to wait until they let me go home...” Vesti replies, “Well... I’m not making any promises... but we’ll try to have this case figured out as soon as we can.” Sammy says, “I think... I’ll show you a real extremo if you ain’t careful, buddy. Poor Sammy  The screen froze just a few minutes after he entered Cammy's room. Ask him more about what happened there. If nothing else I'm curious what he could have spilled on his phone, especially as we didn't find any stains or anything in the room (I think). Emo to the extremo, eh? After asking him that, SOLEMNLY move to Cammy's Hospital room or something. (Response to KamiPanda) Poor POTENTIAL MURDERER YOU MEAN! Ask Sammy what he's done since he arrived at the hospital. Try and establish a timeline. Then consider asking Aura about the insurance details on Cammy's death. If Sammy was to profit from Cammy's murder via some life-insurance bit I wanna know! Now come on! We gotta pin it on this guy! Vesti's future with Argenta depends on this! Also ask Lauren for her thoughts, she seemed to pick up on something. Vesti asks, “Wait, Sammy... What exactly was spilled on your phone? According to the clock, the screen froze while you were visiting Cammy, right?” “Yeah,” Sammy says, pulling out the phone and gazing at it. “I don’t see how it could be important, but... some of the IV liquid got spilled on it.” “The IV liquid?” Lauren says, “How exactly did IV fluid get spilled on your phone?” Sammy explains, “Well, the doctor who was changing the IVs while I was there... Sorry, I can’t remember her name.” “Do you mean Argenta?” “Yeah, that’s it.” Sammy continues, “Anyway, Argenta was leaving to dispose of the old IV bag or whatever when... I guess she tripped or something, because somehow the contents of the bag ended up on me.” Sammy points to a pocket on the chest area of his suit and says, “I had my phone in this pocket. The suit’s pretty much dried off by now, but obviously the phone isn’t.” “Hmm... That’s interesting,” Vesti says, “...but probably not important.” Talk: Sammy Tose: The Day of the Incident Continued“Sammy...” Lauren asks, “Remember, I’m not accusing you of anything, but could you give us a more detailed account of your actions today? That information could be helpful.” “Well... Uh...” Sammy answers, “There really isn’t much more to say. I arrived at sometime around 11:55 and went straight to Cammy’s room. I stayed with her for maybe five or ten minutes, then I went back down to the lobby and waited there.” Sighing, he continues. “I wish I had stayed up there longer, but... how could I have known it’d be the last time I’d see her?” Glancing at her notes, Lauren asks, “And you’re sure you didn’t go anywhere else on the way to the lobby?” “...Of course not,” Sammy slowly replies, giving Lauren a skeptical look. “I was only visiting. Going anywhere else would have been trespassing.” “Hmm... I see...” Lauren mumbles. Noticing the same thoughtful look on Lauren’s face from before, Vesti says, “Hey, Lauren, didn’t you say something was bothering you earlier? What was that about?” “Well, I wasn’t sure whether to bring it up or not,” Lauren replies, “...but as a detective, one must thoroughly examine all avenues of the investigation.” “Sammy, you keep insisting that you spent the entire hour in this lobby... but I find that strange...” “What?! Why?” Sammy shouts, “Where else would I have gone?” “I don’t know where you went, but you weren’t here,” Lauren continues, “If you were, we would have seen you when we watched the security cameras in the lobby... but we didn’t see anyone.” “Oh, that’s right!” Vesti shouts, “I definitely didn’t see him in that footage!” Looking flustered, Sammy replies, “W- Well, that doesn’t mean a thing. Maybe I was just out of the camera’s line of sight... or maybe you just couldn’t make me out. I don’t exactly stand out in a crowd.” Lauren sighs and mumbles, “Well... I suppose you’re right... We can’t exactly prove you wer-” “Wait, I got it!” Vesti shouts, “Hey, Sammy, I have a quick question for you. Are you sure nothing strange happened in the lobby while you were there?” Sammy crosses his arms and glares at Vesti, saying, “Of course I’m sure. Nothing of any relevance happened in this lobby.” “Oh, really?” Vesti asks, “I’d think an old man running in and screaming about bloody murder would be at least somehow relevant...” Sammy fiddles with his glasses and looks out the window, saying, “...What.” “It’s fairly simple, actually,” Vesti continues, “At around 12:45, Dustin Panne, the hospital’s janitor, burst into the lobby and reported the murder rather loudly. If you were in the lobby the whole time like you say you were, then why didn’t you see that?” At this, Sammy turns to face the window. He stands silently, his arms crossed and his eyes closed. Eventually, he finally snaps, “I think the two of you should leave.” Lauren coldly replies, “Perhaps first you should explain yourself...” “There’s nothing to explain,” Sammy says, “Perhaps I was simply in the bathroom when the body was discovered.” “You can’t seriously expect us to believe that!” Vesti shouts. “It doesn’t matter if you do or don’t,” Sammy continues. “You can’t prove I’m lying. And unless this discussion was recorded, you couldn’t even prove to a court that I didn’t mention Dustin discovering the body.” Lauren responds, “The security footage is all the proof we need.” “I’ve already told you why that footage is useless.” Sammy turns back to the two detectives and pushes up his glasses, causing the glare on the lenses to obscure his eyes. He calmly continues, “Frankly, I find all of this insensitive. In case you’ve forgotten, my wife was just killed, and I’ve barely had time to grieve. Perhaps instead of wasting both of our time with pointless questions, you two should actually be trying to find the creep who killed her.” Sammy turns, spits out a quick “Good luck”, and walks off to the adjoining urgent care facility, leaving Vesti and Lauren standing silently in the lobby. Move: Cammy’s Hospital RoomEventually, Vesti finally says, “Well, I guess we should head back to the crime scene... Wouldn’t want to keep Ann waiting, after all...” Lauren mumbles, “You’re right... Let’s go.” With that, the two return to Cammy’s hospital room, too deep in thought to say much else. Date: Tuesday, January 5th, 2016. Time: 3:35 PM. Location: Gold Clinic, Cammy’s Hospital Room.When Vesti and Lauren enter the crime scene, they find it a lot less crowded than it seemed to be on the security footage. Only a few policemen are left, and most of them seem to be focused on attempting to open the closet. The second thing they notice is Ann Istheesa, who apparently relocated the wooden stool to the right side of the bed so that she could sit on it. She looks up from the folder of papers she was shuffling through when the two detectives enter and says, “Oh, there you are. You sure took your time getting here, didn’t ya? I swear, you people either come asking for the autopsy before I’ve even looked at the body or you show up five hours after I’ve finished. I mean, I already had to drive all the way over here, you could at least show me the common decency of arriving at a reasonable time.” After Ann seems to have finished with her rant, Vesti replies, “It’s nice to see you too, Ann.” “Yeah, sure, just dismiss all my grievances,” Ann continues, “You’re just like the HR guy back at the station. Everytime I see him and his stupid, self-satisfied grin, I want to put him on my operating table and see how long he’s still smiling.” Vesti asks, “Hey, Lauren, we’ve already done a background check on her, right?” Lauren answers, “I’m pretty sure we’ve done at least five... It might be time for another one...” Ann scoffs and says, “Yeah, yeah, laugh it up. But remember, your entire case relies on me. I’ve got the autopsy report, and I even found something interesting that you all missed out on, apparently. IS THAT A THREAT SOLDIER Examine the empty space where the janitorial cart used to be. Grieves over it for 2 hours and conduct a funeral for it properly. Also talk to Anne about the autopsy report. *Ann Well, Sammy totally isn't suspicious at all. Nope. IV fluid stuff all seems to line up, though. Ask Ann if she knows anything about our pal Percy. Show Ann respect by formally displaying my Police Badge “You want respect?” Vesti shouts, “Well, I’ll show you respect!” Before Ann can respond, Vesti takes out his police badge and, with great flourish, displays it to the coroner. Ann gives Vesti an annoyed glare and says, “Don’t be ridiculous!” Ann points at him and continues, “ That is downright disrespectful! When I was young, you didn’t see kids shoving things into their elders’ faces after they returned home from a long day of honest work!” Vesti replies, “...I mean, I’d hardly consider myself a kid.” “Oh, right. I apologize. It’s hard to tell, considering how much you act like one,” Ann says, “Still maybe you’re right... I shouldn’t be judging you based on how people used to act... Besides, I didn’t get the respect I deserved back then either... That aside, put away your stupid badge.” Vesti quickly puts it away, without quite as much flourish. Examine: Empty Space Where the Janitorial Cart Used to BeVesti takes a look at the empty space at the foot of the bed, right next to Ann’s cart of surgical tools. Vesti remembers that the janitorial cart was sitting at that spot the last time he was at crime scene. Recalling the security footage, Vesti asks, “Hey, Ann, remember that janitor’s cart that used to be over here?” Looking through some documents, Ann says, “Yeah, what about it?” Vesti quickly points toward the entrance and says, “Were you the one who had it moved out into the hallway?” Ann explains, “Yeah. I needed my tools for the autopsy, and there wasn’t enough room for two carts in here. Without me tripping every time I examined the body from a different angle, that is...” Lauren asks, “Are you aware that an unknown party stole that janitorial cart after you had it moved outside?” “...No, I was not,” Ann replies, still focusing on her documents. “But that’s hardly my problem.” Ann points to Cammy's body and says, “ She’s my problem. If those bozos can’t keep track of a janitor’s cart then it’s hardly my fault. Take any issues you’ve got about that up with them.” Lauren asks, “Do you remember the name of the officer you assigned that task too?” “Don’t know, don’t care,” Ann says. “Now, if you don’t mind, could we move along to the stuff I actually came here for?” Talk: Ann Istheesa: Something Interesting“Alright, fine,” Vesti says, “First, could you tell us about this ‘interesting thing’ you found?” “Sure. It’s a piece of evidence that you guys apparently didn’t run into.” She grabs an evidence bag from the nightstand next to Cammy’s bed and holds it up in front of her. Inside is a clear plastic syringe. Ann explains, “I found this shoved under the pillow on Cammy’s bed. It looks like the same kind of thing they’ve got everywhere in this hospital.” Lauren takes the bag from Ann and starts examining the syringe inside closely. “...I’m not surprised we didn’t find this. Neither of us checked underneath the pillow.” Ann replies, “That figures. I only checked down there because I was checking for wounds on the back of the victim’s head. I wouldn’t say a syringe is particularly out of place in a hospital, but it’s definitely suspicious that it was shoved under the pillow like that.” Putting away the syringe, Lauren asks, “Did you happen to check under the rest of the sheets while performing the autopsy?” “Yeah, I did,” Ann replies, “That syringe was the only thing I found.” {{Syringe added to Evidence}} Talk: Ann Istheesa: Autopsy ReportVesti asks, “Alright, can we see your autopsy report?” “Geez, finally. I thought you’d never ask. Usually you two are jumping at the chance to get your hands on these things.” Ann puts some of the documents into a folder and then holds it out to Vesti and Lauren. “The only copier in this hospital is four floors down, so I’m afraid you two are gonna have to share.” Vesti takes the folder from Ann and opens it, holding it so that Lauren can see it as well. Written in the report is, “Victim: Cammy Tose. (Age 34) Cause of Death: Single stab wound to chest. Weapon unknown. Time of Death: Approximately 12:30. Other Notes: One slash wound is present on each of the victim’s legs. Both were dealt shortly after death. A small needle wound is present on the victim’s arm. Toxicology revealed some kind of anesthetic in the victim’s bloodstream.” “Anesthetic?” Lauren asks as she finishes reading the report. “Why would anesthetic be in a comatose patient’s body?” “I don’t know; I’m just the coroner,” Ann replies, shrugging. “You guys get to figure that one out...” “Honestly, I’m more curious about this time of death,” Vesti says, “How’d you narrow it down to something so specific?” “I used this,” Ann says, pointing to the IV bag next to her. “It seems like the IV drip was dislodged during the murder, so we can use the amount of fluid left in the bag, along with some math, to determine when the bag stopped dripping. Luckily, some of the officers here already knew the info I needed to figure that out, so I was able to narrow down the time of death by a lot. ...You’re welcome.” “Wait, that doesn’t make any sense!” Vesti shouts, “We did the same thing earlier and got a time of death about fifteen minutes later!” “I dunno, maybe I’m just better at math since I went through medical school,” Ann says, waving her hand dismissively. “All I know is that there’s approximately thirty or thirty-five minutes worth of fluid in that IV bag. I even double-checked my math and measurements, so make of that what you will.” “Hmm... Man, I’ve been in a bit of a rut lately when it comes to these pre-update quips. Isn't it because Argenta told us the bag held more fluid than that? Definitely sounds suspicious. I guess Ann doesn't know anything about Percy. If there's nothing else to do here, confronting Argenta might be a good idea. Realising that the part of my consciousness who wants to take Argenta out may come at any second, sashay to her office and politely ask her to answer a few questions... Over a cup of tea  Nnnngh....ask Lauren about the department policy on dating criminals. And maybe present the stopped watch to Ann. Perhaps she can tell us what was spilled on it. Vesti asks, “Ann, have you met anyone by the name of Percy Graham recently?” In a dull monotone, Ann replies, “You mean Mr. ‘I use video games to mask my anger management problems’?” “Uh, yeah...” Vesti says, “That sounds about right.” Ann grumbles in annoyance and continues, “Yep, I’ve been running into him very often recently. For awhile, I even thought he was a reasonable human being, and I was astounded at how easily he could merge his hobbies with his job... Apparently I was wrong about that first part.” “What makes you say that?” Lauren asks. “Well, normally he just shows up, takes the autopsy, and goes on his merry way,” Ann explains, “...but on one case a few months back, my report contradicted his running theory, and he went totally insane. He claimed that I had falsified the report or somethin’ and was no worse than the criminal he was trying to catch. Of course, I told him to stuff it, and that was that. I dunno what happened with the rest of the case, cause after that experience I chose to take the rest of the day off.” Vesti mumbles, “Wow... Sounds like that guy has some serious problems...” “Hey, at least he knows when to show up for the autopsy report,” Ann remarks, “It’s been years, and you lot still haven’t worked that one out.” Vesti mumbles, “...Then again, I suppose we all have serious problems in Ann’s eyes...” Suddenly, Vesti’s phone buzzes, indicating an incoming call. Vesti excuses himself from the conversation and answers it. A familiar voice speaks on the other end. “Hello, Vesti. I’ve finished my investigation, and I think I have this case worked out. Meet me in the main office, so we can get this nonsense over with.” “Wait, Percy? Is that you?” Vesti asks, “How did you even get this number?” Percy answers, “Some guy gave it to me.” “Seriously, again?!” Vesti shouts, “I swear, that guy is gonna compromise the case soon with all this info he’s handing out!” “I don’t have time for your pointless comedy routine,” Percy snaps. “Nor do I have the authority to make arrests, so get up here and do your job.” Vesti hears a click as the prosecutor hangs up. Once Vesti puts the phone away, Ann says, “So, that was Percy callin’, huh? Well, well, speak of the devil...” Lauren asks, “What did he want, anyway?” Vesti replies, “Apparently he finished his investigation, and now he’s just a little too excited about getting this case over with.” Vesti crosses his arms and mumbles, “I swear, whatever happened to performing thorough investigations...” “Well, it’s alright...” Lauren replies, “We’ve probably found all the evidence there is to find by now, anyway.” “Well, other than the murder weapon,” Vesti replies. “But you’re right... We should probably just get going.” “Don’t expect me to come along,” Ann remarks. “I’d prefer to never see that creep again, if I had a choice.” “That’s fine, your presence won’t be necessary,” Lauren continues, “...But it might be a good idea to bring Argenta along...” Vesti shouts, “So I can impress her when I totally destroy Percy’s arguments, right?” Lauren adds, “...Her testimony could be relevant to the case... but I suppose that works too...” Vesti shouts, “Either way, I don’t wanna see what Percy’ll do if we leave him alone over there, so let’s get going. To the main office!” Vesti and Lauren walk out of the crime scene and head for the elevator. Once they’re gone, Ann lets out a sigh of relief and makes preparations to leave herself, hoping that the rest of the day will be fairly relaxing. You successfully break through the “To be continued” screen, unlocking the next part a day early! Try to break past the to be continued screen to the next part. Look up department policy on dating criminals on the way to the next scene....just in case. Ask Vesti what his favourite colour is. Also present the police badge to him. Notice the 'Board Index' button above the thread and explore the other threads on CR. When Vesti, Lauren, and Argenta enter the main office, it’s still a complete mess. This isn’t a surprise for Vesti or Lauren, but it is a surprise for Argenta, who shouts, “Whoa! Aura, what happened here?!” Standing next to her desk and writing something on her clipboard, Aura replies, “Someone ransacked my office while I was operating... You’re nothing but a dirty criminal, and I’ll see to it that you get locked up once and for all!” Argument: Why I’m Still RightPercy: In my opinion, this entire investigation was pointless, as Dustin is still the only suspect. Percy: There is no proof regarding a possible second murder weapon... Percy: ...as the unusual order of the victim's wounds can be sufficiently explained through other means. Percy: That leaves a single murder weapon covered in Dustin’s fingerprints... Percy: ...a crime scene that he was standing in when the murder took place... Percy: ...and a possible motive hidden in Dustin’s interaction with the victim years ago. Percy: I believe there is no reason to further discuss this case. Press that last statement with a look as if to say "really? you're still on this?".
But for real, maybe present autopsy at statement 3? Or at statement 5 along with the security footage, since he didn't go in there until 12:45.

This is a time of giving thanks... but not to double posts. Er... present Autopsy Report and/or Security Footage (probably the latter) at statement 5, "...a crime scene that he was standing in when the murder took place..." He didn't enter the scene until 12:45, which is I think sufficiently far from the estimated time of death of 12:30? Along with that, press statement three. There can be a way you can explain all of that, but is it logical? Also ask whether the entire room was searched thoroughly and anything resembling a weapon was tested for blood. What about the syringe? Is there any way to check whether it was injected or not? Press statement 6 as well. Was it mentioned that he even interacted with Cammy back then? If all else fails then present the badge and get penalised. I heard that challenge! Present the police badge anyway! Then perhaps he'll know how we feel when he constantly plays his 3DS around us. I'm also in favour of pressing statement 6. I don't think we had the chance to ask Dustin about that and it could be useful. Then assuming the contradiction with the autopsy report pans out, strike a badass Starsky and Hutch-style pose with Argenta (Really Lauren is more appropriate but I don't think she's got the whimsy in her to play along) Kind of forgot about pressing, oops. You went into her room sneakily and breathed a sigh of relief as you saw her comatose body lie on your bed. But just as you were leaving, you noticed her snap awake. Realising what information she could have possibly possessed, you injected her with the syringe to put her back to sleep used a dagger that you had brought with you to finish her off. Then you did the weird stuff with the wounds because idk you like messing with us. Then after everything was finished you jumped out of the window and flew away because you're magical like that. Then you went back into the hospital and used your elite powers to hack the security camera footage and remove yourself entering Cammy's room. Finally, as everything was finished, you decided to join us here under the guise of wanting to play along with us when in reality, your goal was to deceive and delude us into thinking that Argenta was the killer. But unfortunately for you, your plan has just backfired! This is the truth of this case...isn't it, KamiPanda? Or should I say....Ray Seppson? There's no running away! I know now that you also killed Argenta all those years ago as she knew something vital about the blackout, threw the body in a lake after charring the corpse, then pretended to leave the hospital while really taking her place...for five years! Unluckily for you, you decided to revert back to your original self when meeting me, and that's your undoing! Handcuff Ray while explaining his plan to him. Surely your limited interactions with her would be enough to tell you that.” “As long as I’m basing my deductions on evidence rather than emotions,” Percy responds, “I can’t be the one making the mistake here.” Vesti shouts, “What evidence?! It sounds like you’re just throwing around random accusations again!” “It sounds like you’re letting your emotions cloud your judgements again.” Percy says, “But if you won’t listen to me, perhaps you’ll listen to your partner there... Vesti turns back to Percy with a newfound determination. Suddenly, Lita Gates remarks, “Oh boy, now this case is getting INTERESTING!” Percy glares at her, and then he continues with his explanation. Argument: A New SuspectPercy: Judging by the IV Bag, the victim was killed about fifteen minutes before we initially suspected. Percy: This puts the time of death at or after 12:30... Percy: ...and the only person at the crime scene at this time was Argenta Gold. Percy: She stabbed the victim with an unknown weapon, left through the front door, and walked to the 5th floor supply closet. Percy: Confident that the janitor would find the body, she set out to frame him using the technique we discussed previously... Percy: ...and later, she tricked us into thinking the murder happened while Dustin was in the room. Percy: As for the motive... the two used to be colleagues. I’m sure we can figure something out. Sorry I’m late, I’m really bad at being productive on snow days. I don't think Agrenta Gold could have done it. She couldn't frame Dustin because there's evidence that proves that she was somewhere else at the time the framing job was done. And the evidence is... The security footage! So, Agrenta Gold entered the victim's room at 12:25. She left 7 minutes later... Which would be 12:32, two minutes after the murder. The security footage proves that she actually went straight to the lobby and talked with Vesti Gates from 12:40 to 12:50 when Dustin Panne ran into the lobby, screaming about finding a dead body. During the timeframe of 12:45-12:50... Argenta Gold was talking with Vesti Gates in the lobby while the framing job was being committed in the victim's room. Is that not all? Well, here's something else! The other evidence is Vesti Gates' testimony. Argenta Gold was with Vesti Gates from 12:40 to when they arrived at the crime scene. Which means the framer must be someone else! While we're at it.... Press Statement 7. Wait a minute! Argenta Gold and Dustin Panne used to be colleagues?! What make you think that? lol ur welcome In all seriousness though, I had a feeling that Argenta would probably be innocent. Good for you, Pierre! Also, Hanzo, I think they mean Argenta and Cammy being coworkers, not Argenta and Dustin XD Though I think they all were coworkers back then. Though if Argenta isn't the killer, that really only leaves Sammy as the killer. And I gotta be honest with you guys...I knew there was something to him. Though that picture with Argenta's hair dyed brown seems like a strange piece of evidence but whatever. Anyway, I'm rambling. Hanzo pretty much did my work for me already. Would give a new reason for Sammy visiting every day. In doing so he'd be ready if she ever showed signs of waking. But yeah, for now all I can really say is, go with Hanzo's answer. Seems right to me. Reassure Argenta with a confident smile that she shouldn't worry and we'll get to the bottom of this then go for that long-delayed coffee. Then remind myself that we know Argenta and Dustin used to work together since he used to be a doctor here. But press his last statement anyway. His motive comment wouldn't stand up at all and I'll at least need some kinda speculation from him on why she would attack Cammy. Vesti asks, “How can you be certain that Argenta was the only person at the crime scene?” “I’m sure you’ve seen the security video that was filmed outside the crime scene. It clearly shows Argenta enter Cammy’s hospital room at 12:25 and leave at 12:32. That means Argenta was the only person in the room when Cammy was murdered.” “N- Not necessarily!” Vesti replies, “Maybe the real killer climbed in through the window during that time frame and murdered her then!” Percy shakes his head and says, “Don’t be ridiculous... No one here would have had the stealth to stab Cammy within a foot of Argenta without her noticing. Besides, why else would Argenta lie about the time of death than to cover for herself?” “I didn’t lie!” Argenta interjects, “I was just m- mistaken! That’s all!” Percy turns to Argenta and replies, “If you really were simply mistaken, please prove it with evidence.” “Wha- How the heck am I supposed to prove that?!” “Exactly,” Percy says, “You can’t prove that. If you want to defend yourself, you can’t just throw around pointless remarks and hope it’ll all work out in the end! You need actual evidence!” Vesti sighs, turns to Argenta, and says, “Don’t worry, Argenta. I’ll get this sorted out.” “O- Okay...” Argenta replies, not seeming significantly confident. Press: Statement 7“What kinda reasoning is that?” Vesti shouts, “‘Argenta worked with the victim, so she probably had some kinda motive?’ You can’t honestly expect that to hold up in a court of law!” “We’re not in a court of law,” Percy replies, “I only expect you to do your job and arrest a suspect for once. We already have evidence of her guilt. Is it too much to ask that we arrest her now so she can’t interfere with the investigation again, and then conduct another formal investigation regarding her motive later?” Vesti replies, “I’m not gonna make an arrest if we don’t have a motive better than, ‘Eh, I’ll get to it later.’” “Fine!” Percy shouts, slamming his hand on Aura’s desk. “You want a motive? Here you go: Argenta was the one who attacked Cammy five years ago because she wanted her office space, then she waited until today to finish her off in order to pass the incidents off as unrelated. Is that good enough?” Aura Gold responds, “There’s absolutely no way that my sister would kill someone over office space.” “Do you really think that’s supposed to convince me?” Percy responds. “People kill over mundane things all the time! You can’t apply logic to it! The kind of people who would take another’s life aren’t the kind of people who adhere to our logical principles or morality!” Aura sighs and begins writing in her clipboard, mumbling, “Subject has difficulty figuring out motives due to their exceptional lack of empathy.” “Anyway,” Percy continues, “Let’s get back to the actual logic of the crime.” Present: Statement 6: My Testimony“Speaking of the ‘logic of the crime,’” Vesti says, “...there’s something about your explanation of events that just doesn’t add up!” “Really?” Percy replies, “And what would that be?” “Argenta couldn’t have been at the crime scene at 12:46...” Vesti explains, “Because she was with me from 12:40 ‘till Dustin found the body!” Percy glares skeptically at Vesti and says, “...I hope you’re not just making things up... Frankly, your occupation is not nearly enough to make me blindly trust whatever you say...” “That’s fine,” Vesti replies, “Because I have something that even you will trust... evidence!” Present: Security Footage“Today’s security footage from the lobby confirms everything I’ve just said. Ahahahaaaa whoops. I got overloaded with homework last week, but this week I just completely forgot so I really have no excuse. Autopsy Report at Statement 3. Wasn't it a single stab wound? While there was a single stab wound to her chest, there were also the slash wounds on his legs. You are correct, only one weapon was used to kill Cammy, but Percy is saying that the second was used for the frame-up job shortly afterward, so he would just point that out immediately. I hope I’m not so out of practice that it looks like this update was written by my guinea pig. Hmm speculating on it now...Sammy's phone stopped at 12:04 when liquid was spilled on it. He was in the room with Argenta at that time. We know the IV was knocked out so perhaps Argenta could shed some light on that visit later? Also call out across time and space to the Gods on the other forum to help me ship VestixArgenta. But strike a dynamic Jojo pose and present the screwdriver at the statement about her placing the screwdriver in the cart. "But fool! You forget that we found no trace of her fingerprints on the screwdriver! And as you can clearly see....*pirouette elegantly on the spot before dramatically pointing at Argenta's elegant refined beautiful hands* Argenta has not been wearing gloves this whole time! Therefore she could not have planted the screwdriver at that point!" Then actually look at Argenta's hands and hope that the gloves are not actually there and are not just an unmentioned character detail. Vesti took great care to make sure she never actually went fully inside the room during the investigation. He messed up evidence posts here twice and I think I got glimpses of it when trying to check through the files, but then he fixed it by next time I came around. Yeah she could have just washed them right after the murder But yeah I forgot to mention that part oops Also Dustin’s fingerprints are definitely on the screwdrivers in the basket. I don’t really feel like writing a scene where someone leaves to get a screwdriver, brings it back, then tests it to figure that out, though. If not having that scene bothers you too much you could write it I guess idk insert witty message here Press the penultimate statement again? I think I checked her profile but not the first post for said gloves. Right I feel I'm losing track of the necessity for two screwdrivers. If she used both for the murder (even then I don't get why she needed two), what did she do with the other one? Percy's explanation doesn't account for what we did with that one. But also Present Heart Monitor at 6 It was only due to Dustin hearing the Heart Monitor (which is in a contradiction itself as he barely heard it and his cart squeaks up a storm) that he even discovered the body. It's not something that could be planned or accounted for, therefore it makes no sense that she'd stick around in the lobby because she could not know what time the body would be discovered at. There was only one screwdriver involved in the actual murder. He's what Percy's saying. - Argenta went to the hospital room at whenever she showed up on the footage. - Argenta stabbed Cammy with the unknown murder weapon. - Then she slashed Cammy's legs with the screwdriver to get her blood on it. - Finally, during the investigation she switched the bloody screwdriver for one in the cart to make it look like the supposed murder weapon had been there the whole time. - Then she left with the true murder weapon and the other screwdriver and ate them or something idk Also the wheels on Dustin's cart only squeak when they're moving. Dustin stopped the cart outside Cammy's room to get out his mop, so that's when he heard it. Alright but if she was wanting to frame him with blood on the screwdrivers, Percy's testimony says she washed them before putting them in the cart. “If Argenta had swapped the screwdrivers as you say...” Vesti says, “then she would’ve had to take the original screwdriver with her, right?” “Indeed,” Percy replies. “I don’t see any problem with that reasoning. I’M BACK Present security footage at statement 4. She returned at 12:25, not 12:15. OOPS THAT WAS WRITTEN BEFORE I FINISHED THE TIMELINE Don't tell anybody...Ah, did think it might just be a simple mistake like that XD Alright then, I guess first I have a question. How much fluid had actually drained from the bag? I think I've started to lose track of what's going on with it, but, I get the impression it's meant to be the case that it's missing 30 minutes of fluid. If that's the case, then a 12:25 refill is a contradiction, as that would mean she died at 12:55. Or, at least, the needle would have been knocked loose then. Not gonna lie, every time I tried to think about the exact math behind this part, it just made my head hurt. That's why I tried to leave the exact amount of fluid that was missing ambiguous. Basically, the point is that if Argenta filled the IV bag at 12:00 or whenever she first visited the hospital room, the time of death would have been sometime during her second visit. But Argenta's saying she actually refilled it early into the second visit, which would place the time of death where it originally was. Basically, there's not supposed to be an issue there even if there might be. Argenta sorta forgot to refill the IV bag? I call her out on her lie! Sammy's Phone is the only evidence which could tells us what happened in there. It's possible that Argenta spilled the IV liquid at 12:04 and some of the liquid must have gotten onto Sammy's phone causing it to freeze at 12:04. Which means that Agrenta's second visit was to puts the IV liquid into the IV bag, to make up for the amount of IV liquid she spilled... Eureka! This brings to light the truth about the time of death... The actual time of death occurred... RIGHT after Argenta's second visit and BEFORE Dustin's discovery! Press statement 2 and ask about her earlier visit with Sammy. Then present a bouquet of roses that I kept prepared for just such an occasion. Edit: Also was that really the answer? You have a point, Hanzo, but just wait a little bit on that one. It’s cold here Hrm I feel the problem might be in the timing. Sammy's phone locked up at 12:04pm but they only arrived at 12pm and Argenta says he was leaving when it happened. That's a REALLY short amount of time to spend with your wife, especially if you are reading a book to her. If that sits well then present the phone at that point. Otherwise ask about the time she changed the IV, that could reveal some inconsistencies with the time on the phone as well. That makes sense to me. So, nothing to really add. If Sammy was sitting on the wooden stool, the one that he uses when visiting the victim... Then why was the wooden stool knocked over? Something must have happened for the stool to get knocked over. I think everyone else has pointed out the inconsistencies so far so I'm just gonna sit back and shitpost @pb Don't worry yerself, laddie. They keep cancelling school halp AAAAH SURPRISE UPDATE Uh...sorry if I'm getting this wrong (I was just about to go to sleep before I saw this) but the answer should be in the Security Footage, right? Because...Argenta wasn't seen leaving without Sammy till then? I think? Idk man, I just want to get this entire business with the footage and IV fluid outta the way because this is starting to make my head hurt. If I'm understanding right, Argenta is saying she quickly left the room while Sammy was in there? But the security footage disagrees with that. Er, so yeah, what SC said. Better than my argument which was to present the surgical scrubs and say "You are a doctor! How could you make such silly mistakes while doing a routine check up. TWICE! TBH Pierre I’m not sure what’s got you so confused. The point of this first part though wasn’t to get some big reveal, it was basically to get her to admit to stuff we already know. Hopefully the next one will be less confusing Well, if she refilled the bag at 12:00 we go back to our original problem. How much fluid drained from the bag? If it's around 30 minutes as everyone keeps saying, then that puts Argenta at the scene when Cammy died. Is that an objection to point out here? The IV Bag? If it's not that, then I don't know. IV bag would make sense to me. Now we know that it aligns with the 30-minute mark then we can prove she is lying about the 45 minutes. Though my gut...oh snap. Present the watch! If everything went smoothly with the IV change then how did Sammy's watch get splashed with IV fluid? You guys have the right idea, but you can't prove the amount of IV liquid that drained using the IV bag because Vesti can't read it himself. If you're having problems, go back and check exactly what she said how much drained from the bag. Also when she said 'everything went smoothly,' she just meant that she managed to fill it when she was supposed to. She just switched the almost empty bag with a full one and then dropped the old one on Sammy. There's never gonna be in contradictions in the pre-clue text, by the way. Vesti can't, but Ann can, right? She said it drained 30 minutes, which is what lead to the current autopsy report. I don't get it, her initial testimony was a lie and now she's admitted that it was changed at 12. That matches up with the time of death when the needle was knocked loose when about 30-35 minutes of fluid were missing. There's no inconsistencies? Present it at her statement saying that 45 minutes of fluid were gone? I mean it's an obvious lie but I'm feeling perplexed here. Uh huh, that seems to be the conclusion I'm getting from the evidence anyway.
