You have just become Kaiser of the country (cause screw Wilhelm II), and you stand as the leader of this grand nation. Turmoil is erupting in Qing Dynasty China, as various European nations, such as yourself, vie for power against the Boxer Rebellion. The British are tied up in a war against the Boers in South Africa. The Ottoman Empires continues to decline as the "sick man of Europe". The Japanese continue to grow as a new power in Asia. Africa is a kaleidoscope of national borders and colonies.

End our involvement in China and condemn all colonialism. Advocate Chinese home rule.
Legislate full suffrage and workplace equality for women and legalise divorce and abortion. Implement marital equality and prepare for an increased workforce by investing in new jobs, with defecit spending if necessary.
Abolish the death penalty and bureaucratise the legal system.
Negotiate a reduction of barriers to trade with Austria-Hungary and Italy.

The American and Austro-Hungarian troops could not hold against the large mass of rebels, and the Foreign Legation was destroyed. The German Embassy and everyone within it is dead. Your inaction to protect German citizens in China is seen negatively.

Crack down heavily on reactionary rebellion and recruit new soldiers from the SPD's electorate. Use the police force to force factories open and threaten them with nationalisation if they refuse to comply. Start infrastructure projects in the meantime to continue production. Zealously prosecute employers who discriminate against women. Inform the Pope that he cannot excommunicate Lutherans. Leave a stay on this topic until after the elections. Open talks with the princes, ask in particular the princes of Baden and Württemberg why they as Protestants would like to join a Roman Catholic empire. Negotiate with Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, Italy and Austria-Hungary in case foreign troops are need to quell the rebellion of the reactionaries. Seek an agreement from Austria-Hungary that they won't accept the princely states into their empire. Improve the options for inheritance of family companies at lower tax levels. Also make it easier for workers to found worker cooperatives. Introduce more of a welfare state under the title of "social Christianity", including maternity leave. Distance yourself from the proposals for lizard marriage and use the movement as an enemy on the left. Insert an amendment explicitly limiting marriage to the human species. Also discriminate against Vogons, whoever they are.
Investigate whether any reactionaries have been involved with the lizard marriage campaign, however tangentially.
To specify the infrastructure, work to improve the railway connectivity between Hamburg, Bremen, Bremenhaven and Lübeck on the one hand and the Ruhr area on the other hand. Also improve the connections of Berlin, Danzig, Saxony (kingdom of) and Thuringia. Improve sewage in cities. Develop a plan to ensure that every village is connected to a small town or nearby villages with at least one paved road to improve modernisation.

We don't want that. Nope. Von Bismarck probably has been retired already and he would be a big problem as he would still try to implement conservative militarism (except less fiercely than the emperor did irl). War with Russia is basically inevitable unless we'd backtrack on our obligations to Austria-Hungary. I don't think that's feasible. |

Once I got word that the famous AHCYOA was migrated over here, I realised I had to sign up for these forums. So to start off, how's about we go a bit more slowly with Villerar's social reform? Equality's great, but it tends to not happen overnight. A totalitarian move to equality is still totalitarian in nature. Let's throw some propaganda out there showing our country still has our religious virtues, or whatever our people are passionate about. What's our GDP at currently? If it's low, try focusing on improving agricultural methods and building roads. If it's high, let's try to increase international relations by giving some gifts to the countries that don't already hate our guts. |
