Stand on one circle to see if something happens, and try holding a Paula up to the light.

(Faster and immensely shorter posts to solve puzzles, go!)
Time for some experiments with the puzzle!
You start by holding a Paula up to the line of light to see if anything happens. Nothing seems to happen, it just blocks the light slightly. You consider making a doll of Paulas to put in a circle, but you realize that you don't actually know how to weave or braid flowers, and even if you did you probably didn't leave enough of the stem when you picked them. As a compromise, you just stick the whole bowl in one of the circles.
....
Nothing happens.
Frowning slightly, you step into the other circle. As soon as you do the light of the circle brightens, starting at the side closest to the wall and wrapping its way around to where the line begins.

See if you can pass through the light. It could just be some sort of monster-summoning thing, and we have, what, 17 HP to spare? We should be fine.

To be safe though what are the chances we can proxy ourselves with Paulas too, They basically solve everything.

Alright, this doesn't quite seem normal. You decide to try stepping stepping out of the circle, wondering if this is some kind of Monster-summoning thing. Though as you think about it more, you wonder how summoning Monsters would work since they're just another species. Maybe it's a alarm? You still feel pretty good from that last Fight, the pain's pretty ignorable right now.
Just in case, you pick up the bowl of Paulas from the other circle and slide it across the line first, noticing that the circle it was in seemed to glow a little brighter when you reached into it. Exactly what you'd expect happens. Nothing. You walk over the line yourself after the bowl, and though the light glows a little brighter underneath your feet nothing seems to happen. The spikes are still blocking the path, too.
Somewhere in the back of your mind, or maybe closer to your soul, your near-perfect memory starts making a list.
Things We Know About This Puzzle: * Does not react to Paulas or glass bowls. * Does react to Tim Gatlins. * The circles glow when you step in them. * The line glows when you step over it. * It is not a alarm. * It does not get us closer to our goal of eating Honey-Nut Cheerios. * Honey-Nut Cheerios are amazing.
Wait, those last two don't quite fit. Oh well.

How far are the circles apart from each other? Maybe we could touch both of them with our hands and feet perhaps?

You decide to see if you can manage to touch both circles at once. Sadly, as you discover upon laying down on the line with your feet touching one circle, the line is about three feet too long for your short child body to reach both circles. You do, however, notice that the light from the circle at your feet begins to "flow" down along the line for as far as you're touching it.
Things We Know About This Puzzle: * Those Paulas might need some water. * Does react to Tim Gatlins. * The circles glow when you step in them. * The line glows when you step over it. * The glow from the circles connects to the glow from the lines. * It still isn't a alarm. * Cheerios.

See if it reacts to Honey Nut Cheerios
I'm having a bad time visualizing this puzzle, so I'm just going to make a semi-random guess. Stand on one circle then try to walk to the other one along the line without touching the floor somehow.

You wonder if the puzzle will react to Honey Nut Cheerios. As if on cue, a box of Cheerios appears in your hands. As you slide it across the line, the light turns golden and the ceiling glows along with the line. Suddenly, the room fills with milk and Honey Nut Cheerios falling from the ceiling, and you laugh joyfully as you happily swim around in the healthy balanced breakfast. Then you wake up. The end.Thinking for a moment about how the light seemed to 'flow' along the line where you moved, you decide to try walking from the circle along the line. Once you reach the circle on the other side, the light flows around it and the whole line glows a vibrant green, before the spikes at the end of the room retract. You look at your handiwork in satisfaction, the thought of having solved the puzzle on your own filling you with a sense of PERSEVERANCE. Picking the bowl of Paulas back up from the ground and happily holding it to your chest, you walk past the retracted spikes and into a bright-looking room lined with decorative vines and smooth walls. On the other side of the area is a large water feature blocking the way across the room, with a spike-covered bridge down the middle. Sitting on a pedestal is a blue ball, and a smaller, blue pedestal sits near the bridge, looking about the right size to seat the ball. This puzzle looks simple enough. But as you walk over to the pedestal holding the ball, a almost see-through gray monster flies in your way and the outline of your Soul appears. It looks vaguely like the heavily blurred shape of a nervous child, a set of glassy wings fluttering to keep it in the air as white butterflies fly around it. * Wisply floated by! [ Item] > *Lico.Candy *F.Bowl
Gatlin: 17/20 HP Wisply: 13 HP

We only seduce dolls and/or ghosts around here.
Offer then the Licorice Candy with a non-seductive voice.

Tell it that if it moves the blue ball for you, you'll give it some candy for the low low price of a million dollars.

Watching this nervous-looking monster slowly fluttering in front of you, your first instinct is to shoot off a strong > Flirt. And then you remember that you had decided earlier to only seduce ghosts and/or dolls possessed by ghosts. Like that "Jem" ghost from earlier. But you suppose that doesn't mean you can't just flirt normally.
Cocking your hips to one side, you take the piece of licorice out of your pocket and offer it to the Wisply with a matching teasing smile and teasing question. It responds by shying away, seemingly wary of a trap, and sending the butterflies flying around it at you.
Dice Results: Gatlin: -3, +3 Bonus Wisply: +1
The butterflies line up in two rows around you. As you dodge into one expecting them to have come directly at you, you take a moment to discover two things. Firstly, you find a new an appreciation for how much being hit by a magical butterfly can hurt. Secondly, once again notice the outline of your Soul glowing fainter for a moment. What makes this more notable than when it happened during your Fight with Jem is that this time, one of the butterflies happens to fly directly through you without harm. It seems you've learned something new about fighting with your Soul.
You vaguely wish you'd finished that Fight earlier so you'd have known these things already.
Picking yourself up from that somewhat embarrassing failure, you slap a smile over the vaguely-felt pain and tell the Wisply that if it puts the blue ball on the pedestal for you, you'll give it the candy. It responds with cautious disbelief. Time to pull out the big guns. Holding your admittedly large and cloudy glasses with one hand, you pull them lower to the point where your eyes are visible and glare over the top of them. This time the response comes in the form of the butterflies forming a perfect circle around you as the Wisply nervously flies over and picks up the ball, placing it on the blue pedestal.
Success! The spikes retract with a audible "shink".
You begin walking over to award the Wisply with the promised licorice as the butterflies dissipate, but quickly find that it seems to be flying away from you. ...More for you, you guess.
You won! You gained 0 EXP and 0 Gold Current HP: 14/20
Walking over the bridge with your bowl of Paulas and admiring how nice the atmosphere in these Ruins is, you notice a sign on the wall on the other side. * Remember your primary foundations. Well that's fun. You soon cross into the next room, which is filled with more circles and lines. This time there's two of them, one line located in the center of a square with a circle at only one corner.
Looks like it's puzzle solving time again. How will you start?

Wonder how the Wisply turned into a Pillbin in the middle of the battle.
Walk from circle to circle across the lines.

Discern if there are any specific colors that appear if you interact with the circles.

(welp, that went fast.)
Now, clearly, the first thing to do when solving a new puzzle is to see if your bowl of Paulas has any effect. the bowl catches on fire It doesn't.
Well, it was worth a shot.
Well, the puzzle seems to be pretty simple anyways, just another few lines. Stepping onto the line in the middle of the square, you are amazed to find... Nothing happens.
That can't be right.
You begin to wonder if there's any relevance to the colors of the lines. Looking a little closer, it appears that while the outside square is green as before, the inside line looks like it'll glow a nice shade of blue. That's probably it, yeah.
You walk across the larger square, connecting the circle to itself, and then walk across the line in the center. Immediately this room's spikes retract, and you're left with a happy feeling at having solved another puzzle on your own. Crossing into the next room, you're met with a set of three balls and three pillars, this time in blue, orange, and green. Before you can start on solving the puzzle however, you see your Soul being called once again and turn around to see a pair of monsters. This time, your attackers seem to be some kind of slimes, purple in color and looking a bit like large cats made of wobbling jelly.
* A pair of Gelkits wobbled through! [ Item] > *Lico.Candy *F.Bowl
