Well, I've decided to finally make an art thread now that I'll actually be able to draw. Most of the pictures will probably be taken with my tablet camera in conjunction with a led flashlight, and they'll allmostly have alt-text to go with them. First up, a funny picture that I ended up drawing earlier. Geddit? Because Mega Man's Japanese name is Rock Man.

There, fixed. I don't have a Imgur account or anything like that so for now I'll have to insert them as attachments. That means they'll be kinda small, but you can click on them to see the full size version.

Thanks. This was my first time really using a skeleton to draw a human.
It's kind of funny how that happened. I was looking at pictures of Brock for some reason I barely remember, and suddenly I thought of "Brock Man". Initially it was just going to be a recolored Megaman with Brock's head, but then his vest snuck in, and then his collar, and then it was just Brock with Mega's arms and legs.
I should draw Brock more. He's pretty fun.

Skeletons: Those things I should be using but don't. I should draw some Pokemon stuff...

The picture has now fully been fixed. I found a website called ImgBox that's a simple free image hosting service. It's a very simple site that doesn't require a signup. It simply gives you a link to edit the galleries you make that no-one else gets to see. I highly recommend it to anyone needing to host images.

Yay! More blurry pictures of some notes I made! I suppose I should explain this a bit. I've been using the Thaumcraft mod as my magic system of choice(of course) and I chose that because it's pretty easily expandable and has plenty of addons to draw from. However, my rule is that all my new stuff has to be explainable by the rules of the mod. This means that each and every idea I use is already perfect for use in a addon mod. So I figured, if I've already got all this stuff with research notes drawn in my head, I might as well put them on paper. And what better to write my findings in than a pocket Thaumonomicon? (Or "Thaummomomohabible" as it says in the picture.)

Awesome. I don't really know much about Minecraft or its mods (my little brother has been trying to get me to play for ages, but to no avail as I'm too broke to afford even pocket edition) but that's very interesting.

:0 That's a thing I've played it a bit, but not extensively. I'm too busy writing to play it for long.

Here have some blurry pokemon sketches: I'm trying to get these people down pat(namely Red, Gary and Pro. Oak) so I can draw them somewhat consistently, as well as get a quick and easy sort of style for the people in the pokemon games. This is all part of my master plan to attempt to entertain people with a semi-comic of me playing Pokemon Red.
Also, ink smudging is very much a thing.

That's pretty cool, but where's Professor Oak? I thought you said you were working on him.

Today on Dima Fails at Drawing: I draw a jerkface elf pretty well but then fail at drawing a pech and my scanner kills all the colors. And yes, Masu being short is actually noteworthy, as Pech are all like two and a half feet tall, so if I drew them to scale Masu would reach up about to Myers' knees.

They are a couple of characters I'm in the process of making. I basically got bored one day an thought "What if this evilevil group I've been alluding to is run by a bunch of complete dorks?" And worked from there.

So it's not the kind of art I'd normally put up here, but I was challenged to write a poem using some of the 100 least common words in the English language. After a bit of thought, I ended up writing it pretty quickly, taking a bit of inspiration from Lewis Carrol, and it turned out well. I'm really proud of this, so I now present...
The Desert Bird
There's a bird that lives in desert heat, Above the arid sand. It flies until it finds a tree And lands upon it's feet.
The florid bird imputes the sun With memories of home, But reclusively it livess above Flying all alone.
How prudently the bird regards It's mundane, lonely fate, With danger fought are lessons taught And patience tempered hard.
Happily, the bird still flies Intrepidly above. And in it's deep sagacity, For the desert, it finds love.
